Ed provided a free estimate and by far had the best price. His crew worked incredibly hard, did the most outstanding work we've ever seen, and cleaned up beautifully. We are extreme perfectionists, and can't believe how picture perfect straight every side of this fence is. Shadow box fences require a little more skill and Ed's team knocked it out of the park! The gates are reinforced with larger posts as they should be, and are expertly built. We had a fence done a few years ago at another home by one of Ed's larger well-known competitors, and it was a hot mess from day 1. Missing nails, wonky posts, wavy overall fence lines, horribly weak and warped gates, inferior wood slats here and there, etc. etc. etc., and then just excuse after excuse from the owner about the poor quality of work. Just because you've heard of a company doesn't mean they're going to do quality work. We discovered Need A Fence walking through our old neighborhood last year. We had never heard of them, but stopped to look at the work they were doing at that house. We were impressed, and took a picture of the sign, which is how we ended up using them at our new house. Couldn't be happier. Ed was able to get going right away on our fence. Literally installed within two weeks of the estimate. Of course, the cooperation of the weather helped a little, too. Rest assured his crew won't use inferior wood slats. If they come across one in the stack, they refuse to use it. That resulted in a beautiful, high-quality fence for us. We put in a deposit (too low by mistake) and then I realized and called to correct it - they realized the mistake but weren't even going to mention it. Still 5 stars, customer service has been great! The colors mimic the hues displayed in the landscapes and paintings in an art museum and delight the eye. Cooking in this environment is never boring. During the following year we returned to Mees and acquired a green quartzite countertop for our master bathroom to compliment the hues in our stained-glass window crafted by a master German artist. The effect is breathtaking. We are now in a quest to remodel another bathroom reflecting Souther gentility with historic southern colors and charm and would never consider seeking assistance from anyone but Mees. They currently have upgraded their services to include installation. The owner and staff reflect the professionalism, competency, and consideration we have come to appreciate and expect. The installer didn't fix these and now I have dents in my flooring in my dining and kitchen areas. I also have separation areas. I have been told they don't warranty materials, but I've had 3 flooring professionals tell me it is due to the installation. Not the materials. BUYER BEWARE
