The women at the front desk are welcoming, the nurses are kind and professional, and I have always been able to get an appointment the same day when my daughter is sick. They have extended office hours too, and the one time I needed to call outside of office hours, I got a call back right away. Dr. Mate helped support me when I was having a difficult time breastfeeding. He encouraged me to stick with it if that's what I wanted, but also told me it was okay to supplement with formula when my daughter started losing weight. I was at a very vulnerable point as a new mom, and I appreciated his non-judgmental, comforting approach. He was sensitive to my postpartum emotions and helped relieve the pressure I was putting on myself. At every visit, he takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions and his explanations seem to be based on the most current research. I can't personally speak about the rest of the doctors in this practice, but I would definitely recommend Dr. Mate.

My children have been in their trusting hands ever since. Though two are now adults we still bring our youngest in. Appointment times are kept and often met on time. Dr. Ulep & Dr. Sia and others in the group are attentive and caring and always find a way to fix what's going on. The staff is beyond compare on every level. How can I say this you ask? Due to a family tragedy we took temporary custody of a relatives child and had to bring him to several government authorized pediatricians in and around Toms River over a period of 2 years. I can tell you we've seen it all; long lines, horrible staff members, uncaring and/or arrogant physicians. No other pediatric office comes close to Silverton Pediatrics. Once granted full custody, we will add our nephew to our insurance and bring him to Silverton as well.

He took such great care of both of my sons. I consider myself very lucky to have him as a doctor for my sons. His father was my summer doctor growing up. We will miss him.
