Dr said definite infection but he could only cut me open and see if anything there and if not, so be it. Fair enough. He gave me an anesthetic and immediately started cutting and surprised when I felt it and somewhat annoyed that I might need more. Spent literally 60 seconds looking around and said could find nothing and would call in an antibiotic and was out the door. He left me with his assistant who was much nicer and answered any questions I had. Three hours later and the antibiotic has still not been called in. What happened to just handing me a scrip on paper. Next time I go off island to Atlanticare. .

The office is practicing Covid-safety measures, having patients sign-in in the front vestibule and then wait in their cars until they are called back from the front desk staff. The staff did the standard check-in paperwork/questions with me over the phone, to limit the number of people in the office at one time. I appreciated that, both as a safety measure and because I dislike filling out the paperwork at any Dr.'s office. I was the 2nd person to sign in when they opened at 8:30. The wait time was short - maybe 10 minutes? The staff has excellent bedside manner. In fact, they were delightful. I believe 4 different people helped me - Dr. Bryan Barrett, and Becky and I think a Gina (or a Rita? Sorry!). The mood amongst the staff was upbeat. They seem to actually like each other and like working with each other. It turned out I had a fever too, and then all of a sudden I was shaking and sweating and my blood pressure dropped while I was in the chair. They had me lay down. A nurse took my blood sugar. Dr. Barrett and a nurse stayed with me until my blood pressure came back up. They did not rush me out or leave me in the room by myself. The Dr. and I talked about other health questions I had. He was just lovely and the staff is lovely too. I will be back...but hopefully not soon. :)

My daughter tested positive for Flu A and was given a note for 2 days by another provider. On day 3 she still had a fever and presented with symptoms. She could not get into her primary care office so she went back to urgent care. Amy was very nasty with my daughter saying she will not write a note for her work and if she gets workers comp papers because she came back for a note she will not fill them out. Why would she get workers comp papers when my daughter has the flu and wasn't injured at work? You should look into hiring providers with better beside manners. Evertime we get NP Amy she is nasty and rushed. Horrible provider!
