Went to ER with chest pains. Was seen immediately and cared for. Was very happy with the service and care and time it took.

Do not go to this hospital!! Maybe if you are dying but even then you may be better off driving to St George or Las Vegas. I went there in Dec 2025. The staff was OK but the Dr who saw me was horrible. I was suffering from severe sciatica. He could not help me with the pain and did nothing for me. And now, I am getting calls that I owe them money. I spoke with a "Roy" (doubt that was really his name as it does not fit the accent). According to Roy, they sent out an invoice to my old address on Jan 13th 2026. He said that was the only bill sent. I asked to change my address and he said he couldn't but then he went on to say he could only send it to the address on file which it turns out is my new address here in AZ. Then he has the nerve to tell me if it isn't paid soon it could go to collections. that didn't sit right with me. I pay my bills (when I actually receive them). I let him have it. How can I pay a bill that was never received. And they only sent it once??? Instead of having a live person call me it was a computer. Unreal. Again, I will not go to this hospital unless I am dying and even then, I will try to get to St George. read more

Very disappointed with our experience at Mesa View Regional Hospital. We were there for 4 hours and only saw Dr. Taylor Smith once during that time. The nurses and techs were great and did their best, but I felt like our concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously by the doctor. During an already stressful situation with my dad's health, the experience left us feeling frustrated and unsupported. Looking back, I wish I had taken him to St. George instead. read more

Not very friendly. When they first thought I was uninsured the lady in reception/waiting area got visibly upset. She made some comment. I felt so sick and exhausted I couldn't even respond. But it j7st goes to once again demonstrate how we as human are so quick to judge or think less of people depending on there economic position in america. There are a class of people who are under insured or have no insurance.c shame on us for valuing money over human dignity, empathy, the list goes on. We make people pay for the ability to get well, recover from cancer, see clearly, have teeth. Basic quality of life medical treatment and it's really 9nly those who can pay the ridiculous insurance companies, who make a fortune of our illnesses. Plus none of the staff seemed to like there jobs. The Dr. seemed genuinely concerned, but blood work was fine they got me out of there as quick p y as possible. 2-3 hours. Urinary Pain...they did multiple tests and said they could find nothing. The discharge notes did not even outline what tests were done?! But I bet the bill will outline them line by line! One of the nursing staff was very good and responsive to needs. One was very beligerent when I asked a question and I had requested help earlier from her and she handed me a device and left the room...big chip on her shoulder...should not work in patient care! absolutely horrible experience I would not go here if I was deaths door again. Waited five hours for belly, pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and they told me I had constipation.... I followed up with my doctor and they said I had pancreatitis. Plus, the nurse was so I heard her say that she didn't want to go in my room because she felt like I was wasting her time or something and she kept sending every other staff in who knew nothing about me. My daughtered was in the ED there for Kidney stones while I was across the country. The ED nurses and MD took amazing care of her and got her symptoms under control. The house supervisors were great about working with medical records to get her records sent to STG for further treatment. If care is based on experience our family gives MVH a 5, so glad to have them in out little community. read more

I hand delivered orders for an MRI and plain films. 5 days later had not received a call to set up an appointment. I called them. No answers. But they did tell me that the soonest they could get me is when they got around to scheduling was a month. A city of our size with an above average age deserve a decent hospital. OMG!!! Routine blood tests billed to my insurance $ 2,000. Absolutely ridiculous amount. I ended up paying $600. Do not go to this hospital for anything! Honestly I never leave reviews but this made me absolutely sick to my stomach. My friend and I came in because she was either having apendicitis or gallstone issues, and as everyone knows, those are extremely painful. She was in extreme pain. We wait just an hour to get checked into the ER but at that point I had no complaints because I would understand if they were busy. After the hour they bring only her back and she told me they put her in this chair behind a curtain in the ER lobby area. The ER looked empty to me but they said they had no beds. Still not an issue I said I would wait for a room it's fine. After another hour my friend is still in so much pain, no room, don't even want to get her an ultrasound but if they do this is what they said to her "if you think that's what's wrong we will get an ultrasound. Sounds like you obviously know what's wrong". Just try to take blood and giver her ain't nauseous medication. It was her gallbladder what is wrong with y'all!! The pain is so severe. So towards the end my friend ass to leave so I get sent to the back with her. After a couple min the nurse comes into the curtains. She gives the discharge papers to my friend and said "Here is a list of doctors that can help you" so me being the direct person I am I politely said "A doctor who cares" she looks me in the eyes gives me the nastiest look ever and says "what does that mean" You know what it means. I kept this professional and behind curtains. Her being the Unprofessional person she is, while the doctor was talking to a patient she interrupts and goes to the front desk and yells "THIS PATIENT HERE THINKS YOU DONT CARE!" ...... I just walked away. As I was walking away towards the door she said "That way". Genuinely what is wrong with this place. Oh!!! And btw there was a lady that came into the ER for a hurt hip. She was very old and couldn't walk at all. A nurse grabs her up by the armpits and yells at her "You can walk! WALK!" To an old lady who you made leave family behind..... Please do not go here. If you are able to go to Saint George GO THERE!!! These nurses are disgustinf and horrible and I am scared to even travel to this town again because what happens if I have an emergency and I have these evil people helping me? Absolutely the worst!! Been going here for 10 years but felt I had no where else to go. Should have switched years ago. Got covid while traveling in California. Called to get paxlovid prescription. Supposedly they could not get a hold of my Dr. so would not prescribe!!!!! Asked for another Dr. to prescribe and they said NO!!!! Still can not believe it. Absolutely the worst! We have no car here as we are traveling. I am going to walk to the clinic and get a test and they will then provide me with the prescription. I would NEVER go here, not even as a last resort!!! I should have known better than to go to Mesa view, being a newer resident, everyone living there told me not to go but I thought it would be convenient just for an MRI. I waited two weeks for them to schedule me with my shoulder in constant pain before i finally called they told me they needed insurance info from the doctor which i asked why didn't they call me or the doctor for it. After a minute of silence i slammed the phone down called my doctor and rescheduled at Dixie regional in St George they sent in the request at 930 am, the hospital called me at 4 pm to schedule me. My mom had to get an X-ray. It took 45 minutes before they registered her, wasn't that busy, and more than 30 minutes before she was called back for the X-ray. This is the most inefficient place I've ever been to and they're 'helping' people who are ill. I have no idea why people use this facility except that it is local. And they'd get done sooner by going to st George read more

We moved to Scenic in July, and never expected to have a virus / bacteria / fungi attack my Parotid Gland so badly, that the Doctor Seck booked me straight into the hospital. All the action of IVs started, then Blood works, then Oxygen, then breathing check up and more, went on for three days, I experienced incredible pain, and all through, I managed due to the professional, helpful and friendly staff that cared for me during this convalescence. Special mention to Effren, and Heather, and Dr Seck, and even the cleaning lady who got me my first coffee in three days. I am extremely grateful to all for brining me back to my family! read more

Mothers Day May 9th I had a problem at home and called an ambulance to take me to Mesa View Hospital BIG MISTAKE. It was a Gull Bladder that needed removed. 6 hours after surgery I used the nurse call button and asked for a pain pill & some water. I could hear all the nurses down the hall laughing which I assume was at the main nurses station ( Don't think they was helping any patients ). About 45-50 mins later I used the nurse call button again and the same nurse answered and she said I herd you the first time !!!. This is when I called my wife at our home in Mesquite at 700pm at night, and told her to bring me some cloths and get me out of here because I need some medical care. My wife came down and this is when the nurse finally came in the room, and said what's going on ?. I told the nurse to pull the IV line from my arm, and unhook me from your machines I'm leaving to somewhere so I can get medical care. Now this nurse was at full attention !! now, and she said we have been busy but you cannot leave. After a short argument we left and my wife drove me to IHC in St George, UT which is a wonderful place. Long story short after days of stay at IHC I went home with drain tubes in my chest from my liver because of bio leakage. I had a home nurse for the next 10 days that came daily to our home and changed my bandages, and took my vitals. I'm only 62 years old and have been in good health. But next medical problem with anyone in our family we will take our chances driving north on I-15 through the Virgin River Canyon to IHC St George, UT before ever going back to Mesa View Hospital. As many older people then I that live in Mesquite area it is very scary to think of the Health Care that is available to them in the town they live in,,,Wow. read more

Tried to call for two days to check on my orders sent over for X-rays. NO ONE would ANSWER! My doctors office called me the second day saying everything should be ready to go, after I had tried all morning to check with Mesa View. Got to the hospital, checked in thru emergency room and take a seat to wait. A woman comes out and asks if anyone was waiting for X-rays and I replied "yes". Was told "no tech" in one of the rudest tones I have ever been addressed. So, my point is that if SOMEONE had answered the phone, I would have been able to make other arrangements! Makes me doubt even using Mesa View for ANY reason! Thank you. read more

I went in because I thought something was wrong with my kidney. They drew 1 vial of blood, got one IV bag of fluids, 2 views of a CT scan. Everyone came into the room immediately upon arrival, then we waited and waited and waited. The radiologist had to read the CT scan, Dr checked twice, nurse checked once, CT tech checked once, finally 4 HOURS later they tell me I'm fine. Must be a muscle or nerve issue. We spent about 10 minutes total with medical professionals, 5 minutes in the CT scan and the rest of the time waiting and waiting. Arrived at 11 and left about 5pm. I got the bill.....$11,262.00 not including doctor and radiologist bill, which was another $500. This is bull$hit!!! I wasn't even in a room, I was behind a curtain!!! I've asked for an itemized bill and a return call twice......nothing!!! read more

I wish I could rate this place a zero, but alas that's not an option. I will start with the positive that Dr. Johnson was great. He's very personable and treated my grandma with respect, even joking some with her to alleviate the situation. Now the bad- the wait was absolutely atrocious for an emergency room. We were here a total of 4 hours, 1 of which was waiting for her to even be seen by the doctor. The lady at check in (Sonya I believe) was extremely rude with every interaction. She didn't explain anything to us or my grandma, and was snippy with us about the paperwork we had a question. The icing on the cake was after waiting over 2 hours for X-ray result my mom walked over to the counter to ask for an update and Sonya said out loud "great here comes another one". Well excuse us for wanting an update and to see how everything is going. It's not out fault this place can't seem to staff anyone. All the other patients and their families were annoyed too. 1 lady even flagged me down as I was walking by to see if I could find a nurse to help her use the restroom. I hope that anyone needing an emergency room does not need to go to this location and deal with Sonya and the understaffed team here. Truly a terrible experience! Sonya- I don't care if you hate your job, the people here are already dealing with a major issue hence why they are here! It wouldn't kill you to smile and at least act like a caring human being! read more

Went to the ER. It was the worst treatment I have ever had. Sat in a small room with no TV or nurses button. They took a Covid test and flu test. Sat for 3 1/2 hours with no one ever checking on me or offering me water or juice. I ended up walking out and still don't think they know I ever left. I will go to St. George tomorrow. On April 23, 2018. I had to go to the ER at Mesa View. I had a total knee replacement and through some snafu, I was released without pain medication. It was not Mesa View but a hospital in Las Vegas. It was after 8 PM and the ER was busy. I was treated within 30 minutes and given the medication that I needed plus taking care also of a persistent hiccup that was the result of the surgery. I went into the ER for a case of vertigo and dehydration. I was told by the ER doctor that I should have a CT scan because there was a spot on my lungs. I'm still not sure why they did a chest x-ray for vertigo. I spent $1200 out of pocket for the procedure that I was later told was unnecessary, because there wasn't anything there. My suggestion is avoiding this hospital if at all possible. read more

I started the process of scheduling a mammogram on Monday. I brought in my paperwork to the hospital that afternoon after being told that afternoon that it was needed to set up the appointment. I got in the car right away an brought the paperwork in and handed it to the person I had spoken to on the telephone. Since Monday, I have been getting nothing but a bunch of lies from the staff about how many steps it takes to schedule a mammogram. It us now Friday and still no appointment has been made. How hard is it to verify insurance and make a appointment? Since I have an appointment in St. George, IUT already on Wednesday I thunk I wull take that appointment. Oh by the way, this would have been my second mammogram at Mesa View, with the same insurance. Hopefully they will be competent enough to find my previous Scan to take to a real hospital. But this last time the hospital called said I had to get done through them, no more sending it out to Labcorp. My $13 bill jumped to $88. No more I will go to St George. I never waited longer than a few minutes in times of need they were caring and respectful as well as professional and attentive to my pain and my morale. Well I went today to this hospital cause I had a very severe back pain that started like 10 days ago and was getting too painful even to walk. I went to the Mesa View hospital ER' facilities and I was treated very soon after I got there, maybe less than 10 minutes after arriving to ER. They were not too busy, maybe a couple of other two patients. The doctor and nurses plus the administrative staff were very polite and educated with me. I felt fairly and very well attended. Sorry I don't remember their names except for the doctor because his name is on the medicines, Taylor Smith, but every thing was right and since I live in this town, Mesquite, I am happy to know that the ER in Mesa View Hospital works pretty good. Money wise It was close to a 900 $, without doctor bill which could be a little expensive for a short visit, less than 2 hours, and I didn't get any medicine while I was there, but my vitals signals reviewed. They also gave me a diagnosis, prescription and explain me what to do in case I don't get better in the next 2 or 3 days. So considering all these, perhaps is not that expensive. Nevertheless It was my 1st time in an ER and I am happy with the results and the way I was treated. Mesa View's ER facility and personnel thank you very much for taking care of me in such a nice and professional way while I was there. read more

This "hospital" should get a zero, but I gave them a one so that this review can be posted and help someone making a healthcare choice. The guy from admitting came to me in the ER, where I was delirious and in great pain to get my credit card for billing. He had me sign a bunch of documents while I was on morphine in the ER. I couldn't even write the first letter of my name I was so out of it. I don't have any idea what I signed. I called billing when I got home and asked for a detailed statement. The rude woman in billing said no, because she wouldn't have the information in her office from upstairs for three more days. I asked if she could just make a note of my request, and she refused in an ignorant tone, saying that I would have to contact them next week. I was in the hospital for four days. My TET hose were NEVER changed. I was NEVER bathed. I was NEVER turned or repositioned unless I specifically asked. On my first night I was so sick and nauseous! This tiny little hospital thoughtlessly brought me a polish sausage for dinner! Then I was reprimanded for not ordering a meal. No one told me how this was done. Three days = $21,000.00. And no definitive diagnoses. Another consideration to make when choosing a hospital is availability of care. If the care you need is beyond the expertise of this tiny little hospital, there is a good chance that you will be life-flighted to St George or Las Vegas. This happened to a good friend of mine. Life-flighting a patient is incredibly expensive, and it is not usually covered with typical health care insurance. If you need a band aid, go to this "hospital", but be aware that this is a FOR-PROFIT business. There is a major hospital 40 minutes north of Mesa View with excellent care. Go there. AVOID THIS PRIVATE, FOR-PROFIT BILLING-TRAP "HOSPITAL" !!!!!!! read more

I had lithotripsy done at Mesa View and was treated very well. The care I got was exemplary and the staff went above and beyond to see to my comfort. This is a critical access hospital in a small community that serves very well. The town of Mesquite is very lucky to have this facility. If you have a crisis and need immediate care they will make sure you get the best treatment and will transfer you once stable for further care if need be. After several trips to the ER I know this to be true. They are awesome!!!!! Thank you to all at Mesa View!!!!! read more

I had services done July 2014 in which I was misdiagnosed and per Scripps San Diego is the worst MRI they have ever reviewed. Thank goodness we moved to CA and we no longer have to go to Mesa view. Mesa view billed me in November and said my insurance had not paid. I contacted my insurance and they paid 7/2014. Mesa again billed me saying my insurance had not paid. I ignored knowing my insurance had paid. Mesa sent me a letter threatening to send me to collection agency. I then contacted my insurance and got the exact date they cashed the insurance check. Reponded back to Mesa with data. In February 2015 they sent me a bill for the remaining I owed and adjusted the bill. In addition to my problems my husband was misdiagnosed with lung cancer there. It turned out to be valley fever which is now being treated in CA. Please beware of using Mesa view. Much better off to make the trip to st. George or Vegas. read more

My husband went in because he had high heart rate and low blood pressure. He was confused and shaking uncontrollably. They did an ekg, chest X-ray and head CT. Accused him of doing drugs because of how young he is. Told us that he had a sinus infection that wrapped around him brain. Gave him antibiotics and a heart medication and sent him on his way. Well the next morning his symptoms got even worse so I took him to St. George. They diagnosed him with 3 different heart issues. Said if he had taken the heart meds Mesa View prescribed him he would have stroked out. They also did an ekg, chest X-ray and head CT. He had no sinus infection. I'm absolutely disgusted at this hospital. This place is a joke. The "doctor" couldn't even read an X-ray or properly diagnose. It was pure laziness because apparently at this hospital a 31 year old, there is "absolutely no way he can have heart issues " as that doctor said. It was a quack diagnosis. If you have serious issues DO NOT go here. You won't be treated with respect and more than likely be diagnosed with some random thing you don't even have. 0 stars for this crappy place. read more

I had visitors from out of town and when mother-in-law became ill, I was so thankful that the ER was there. The nurses were exceptional and the doctor was amazing. Having been in the big city, I was expecting a long wait but we in the ER being seen in just a few minutes. She came home the next day and before heading home, she got a call just to follow up. For a small hospital, I was worried that they wouldn't have the ability to take care of 90+ year old, but I was surprised just how wonderful they were. read more
