My daughter only had 6 months to plan a wedding so venue choices were very difficult! We stummbled into this gorgeous place and I had to pinch myself..DONE and DONE! Booked it as soon as I saw it.. Amazing things about this place 1. Daughter wanted all the wedding party to stay on site and basically have a love and Party fest.. Many many bedrooms accomodated EVERYONE and we had a lot in the wedding party! 2. The man cave/ BUNK HOUSE - pool ping pong and bunk beds.. we had several guests that were just a tad to party happy, so we escorted them to the bunkhouse.. The groomsmen played card games and had a wonderful time there.. Its a bunkhous that is just a few yards away from the mail house.. 3. The main house.. DROP dead gorgeous and we had 50 people for the rehersal dinner! Big cozy fireplace and an intimate gathering made everyone toast and tell wonderful stories about the bride and groom.. 4.OMG they have beautiful working hunting doggies! I am not a hunter, but they included a hunt for the groomsmen and their man friends..I enjoyed watching the dogs work..What a beautiful afternoon..and the hunters came home with a LOT of QUAIL! 5. NEW wedding Chapel was just completed and is just so so beautiful.. We had 130 guest and it was plenty of room for dancing and all the tables food and buffet set up! 6. The staff... although I was dubious at first as I only saw one sweetheart of a lady.. She was amazing and was so very accommodating! I just loved her..She was very special and so caring..She is truly a treasure! 7. The nature- not much decor needed here.. this place is on a lot of acreage and the chapel faces sunset.. so the natural beauty is peaceful and just lovely.. All I can say is this place is wonderful and offers so much for the dollar.. Our older guests were comfy sitting by the fire in the main house and drinking wine ,while the young kept the party going on late into the night.My daughter described it as a dream wedding! I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS! This shouild tell you how wonderfull this place is!!

With close to 90 people in attendance the food and the atmosphere was to die for. Everything was beautifully presented. First came the Savory course with sandwiches and other Tasties. There were 12 different selections of savories includingfresh baked scones served with fresh Swan Crossing honey and jams. Then there was a short lecture during which time there was a quick change over to the Sweets part of the menu. The selection of dessert items seemed endless. They served over 15 different types of deserts on the buffet . There were little brownies cradled on small plates with Italian maraschino cherries or after dinner mint-chocolate brownies, fresh baked cookies, lemon-raspberry petit-fours and then there were hand pies filled with Swan Crossing's pear mincemeat. That was lovely just the right amount of spice to the fruit. I also always enjoy the flavored waters. This year the big hit was the prickly -pear hibiscus water. Brewed fresh by our hostess That one ran out quick. I loved the photo op which was new this year. All the lovely hats were made by the owner Marian Tworek. There were hats in every color so no matter what someone wore to the event, there was a hat to match. We all enjoyed trying on the hearts and getting our pictures taken. All in all another great event to recommend to my friends.

Tammy met us up at Green Gables 3 separate times so I could take measurements and look at things again to plan. She has a huge collection of decorations that she doesn't mind you using. She does a great job keeping Green Gables looking amazing and is always looking for more ways to improve. When you book Green Gables, you get the venue for the whole weekend which makes set up and clean up much easier than at other places, plus you have somewhere to stay the night after the wedding. I would definitely recommend Tammy and Green Gables! If I had to give any feedback, the guest cottage where the ladies usually get ready could use some more lighting, but that was a comment from the makeup artist... I didn't think we had any problems with it.

Amanda and her entire team were amazing from start to finish. Their communication throughout the planning process was outstanding, and they went above and beyond to make everything seamless. They provided so much of the décor, which took a huge weight off our shoulders. Every staff member was incredibly professional--well-dressed, polite, and respectful. So many "yes ma'am, no ma'am" moments paired with truly genuine service. Even the security guard was wonderful and added to the sense of professionalism and safety. The venue itself is stunning. The outdoor spaces are beautiful, and the indoor areas are just as gorgeous. Everything was clean, organized, and so accommodating. If you're planning a wedding, this is absolutely the place to do it. Truly a 10/10 experience!
