With close to 90 people in attendance the food and the atmosphere was to die for. Everything was beautifully presented. First came the Savory course with sandwiches and other Tasties. There were 12 different selections of savories includingfresh baked scones served with fresh Swan Crossing honey and jams. Then there was a short lecture during which time there was a quick change over to the Sweets part of the menu. The selection of dessert items seemed endless. They served over 15 different types of deserts on the buffet . There were little brownies cradled on small plates with Italian maraschino cherries or after dinner mint-chocolate brownies, fresh baked cookies, lemon-raspberry petit-fours and then there were hand pies filled with Swan Crossing's pear mincemeat. That was lovely just the right amount of spice to the fruit. I also always enjoy the flavored waters. This year the big hit was the prickly -pear hibiscus water. Brewed fresh by our hostess That one ran out quick. I loved the photo op which was new this year. All the lovely hats were made by the owner Marian Tworek. There were hats in every color so no matter what someone wore to the event, there was a hat to match. We all enjoyed trying on the hearts and getting our pictures taken. All in all another great event to recommend to my friends.

Beyond the event space, the staff here were top-notch, from the planning stages all the way to the day of the event. They were always professional while still being personable. Walking from the parking lot up to the barn was a tree filled magical journey. Once arriving at the old barn, we saw string lights gracing the property. It was so pretty. We weren't sure where to go and went to the barn window. The girl assisting us could have provided more info. She asked us if it was our first time there and we informed her that it was. That ended further feedback from her. We paid for putt putt, played the two fun 9-hole courses, but noticed WHEN WE WERE DRIVING AWAY, they had corn hole. We paid $6 per per person entrance fee but didn't experience everything they had to offer. Also, the putting greens were full of leaves. Being only opened Fri-Sun, a leaf blower to the putt putt course on Friday would have been awesome. We visited on Friday at 7pm. We appreciated the options for beer and cocktails. It was extremely packed with people on a Friday at 10 AM. Everyone was really courteous. (Lots of bumping into one another). What impressed me more than anything else; People were actually kind to one another. Wow! Lots of people using walkers and wagons. How they walked/tackled the uneven dirt was impressive. Kudos to y'all. Only a few "people traffic jams". Just have to learn to navigate those! It's free parking and approximately 12$ per person entrance fee. Lots of staff to help with parking. Shout out to Joe Cuellar once again for providing fantastic music! Take a photo at the entrance as proof you already paid. This way you can walk your purchases back to your car! Plus with a picture you can return all weekend for this event! That's a win in my book. Multiple food vendors! And like anywhere, never enough restrooms. I pre-purchased my tickets months in advance. I will tell you this venue will over-kill you with emails and texts. They sell their tickets for the event through Huminex. It's too much. Specially, if you already bought your tickets. Multiple sellers, my understanding is that it is difficult to get into this show as a seller. I certainly miss when some of my favorites are not here. I miss the soaps, balsamic vinegar, crafters, and true vintage sellers. Please bring cash to these events. It runs smoother when you do! Some will even give discounts for cash sales. We gave them an idea of what we wanted and sent pictures of the area (as we are in central Texas) and they drew up exactly what we had in mind from the windows to the doors to the leantoo added. A few months later we saw they had kid playsets for our kids. We got one ordered, was able to have options for things we didn't want, for example we wanted a swirl slide and not a straight slide. We also wanted to add monkey bars. They got it ordered for us and a quick delivery! When an issue popped up with the playset I informed the company and the delivery people. Shed Solutions made sure the company was on top of their mistake in a timely manner!! They truly care for their customers!! Don and Lisa have amazing customer service and get the job done right!

She has documented the equine competitions of British royalty, West Texas ranch hands, beloved pets, champion livestock and the fastest horses in the world. If you stop by her pink Victorian house & gallery, she'll make you tea and tell you stories while you explore the halls. Most of her work is traditional realism style, but she can paint commissions in any style including contemporary and abstract. Oils are what she's famous for, but she also does watercolors, etchings, line drawings, etc. I own several of her pieces and I always get compliments on them.
