The service was great. I was in and out if there with 4 yds of medium bark. My yard looks great!

    - Great for outdoor plants -…read more I wrote a review for this place ages ago when I was only interested in succulents. Their succulents are very limited, and they don't have that many different types of echeverias here. However, I got in outdoor plants two years ago since I got a bigger yard, and this place has been great for me since. This place is not gigantic like the flower world, nor is their price amazing. However, it's located in an expensive area in Bellevue and the price is reasonable given its location. They have a lot of shrubs and trees on top of other outdoor plants, and a small collection of indoor houseplants. They have many different types of fruit trees, including cherry, blueberry, kiwi, fig, grape, and so on. They also have rare ones but they are gone since they only have 4-5 of each type. I'm not sure if they keep more somewhere else. They have tons of different rhododendrons with different colors (white, orange, res, purple, yellow, etc). The bigger size costs $55, and the small one is around $23. I've found the same one (big size) at Costco for $25 or so, so it's important to know what you are looking for. Don't come here for common plants, but the rare ones that's harder to find elsewhere. Oh yeah, they also have 6-7 types of clematis here as well. I've gotten several lilacs here last year, and they are all blooming and growing nicely in my yard. I also love their Allium giganteum display around the "fountain" so much that I bought some bulbs and planted some in my yard.

UPDATE JUNE 12, 2026:…read more This is a shout out to three of their employees, Michael, Jackson, and Brooks, for being especially helpful in helping me to find what I want at the Bellevue Home Depot today.Theirs was a contrast to employees who usually just say "if we have it, it would be in this aisle," and then go on about whatever they were doing. UBERUPDATE JUNE 13, 2026: This is an additional shout out to their check-out employee, Nam, for her over the top assistance at the checkout counter today, including going out to fetch a cart. And also to Brooks (second day in a row) for assisting me in helping me to determine if my slightly used dumpster find 2017 Ryobi reciprocating saw works (it works), and also helping me to determine whether to buy their Ryobi battery/charger starter kit special for $99 and get a new Ryobi power tool at no additional charge, or get the six in one package of Ryobi power tools for 199 bucks, which also includes two batteries and a charger. (I chose the latter) Give both Nam and Brooks a raise!

I had been…read moreavoiding going into any Home Depot, but especially this one, for years but its been over a decade and we needed some gardening supplies so we figured this location would be the best. While there were no familiar faces, I was both amused and irritated by the blatant customer-avoidant behavior the store associates displayed that day. I watched one gentleman turn into the aisle my friend and I were in, look up and see us, did an immediate about-face with military precision and quickly retreated as fast as he could. Another walked by us, made brief eye contact, and then pulled out a piece of paper from his apron pocket staring at it as though it was the most interesting paper in the world. We checked out in the garden department with our bags of soil and little pots. The soil we bought had one of those easy to open tops that you just have to pull on. The cashier lifted the soil bag right at that spot tearing it open. My friend saw it but I didn't until we were loading the bag into the car. I shouldn't be surprised but I am disappointed.

We've been really impressed by this process. The construction crews are highly professional. They are thoughtful and careful with neighbors when dealing with moving equipment in and out, noise, and those kinds of things. They are great communicators and set really good expectations about project length and other details. When we asked for tweaks or changes midstream there was never any grousing or grumbling - they were very focused on making sure we were 100% happy. The guys are our crew were Colin, Max and Michael, and Patrick was the Construction Manager. In both cases, the finished projects were even more stunning than we expected. Top notch.

They guided us through all of the permitting required. Devin and his crew were amazing and worked magic to bring everything to life. Johnny was always in touch and making sure we had the right information and also provided guidance on changes that we wanted to make. Justin and his crew has been great during the follow ups. Again, we have been super pleased with the outcome and the work. I highly recommend Alderwood!
