Big selection of plants of all kinds and sizes, pots, etc. Many hydrangea varieties in the covered center section.

We had stopped at our neighborhood nursery but they didn't have any tabletop Christmas trees so ventured a bit farther and went to Wells Medina. They were extremely friendly and it is a really sweet nursery fortunately easy to social distance right now. They had a few small trees and we found the perfect one for this year.

Great selection of plants. Indoor, outdoor, they have almost all that you can think of. Plants were in good conditions too. Fairly priced as well.

My husband and I completely renovated our landscape and had a blank slate to work with. We removed all the grass in the front yard. We wanted some showy and easy care perennials and trees our landscaper could not find and off we went to Wells-Medina. The staff were very helpful with suggestions and and helped us find everything we needed as well as delivered them to our home for a small fee. All the plants and trees are even more beautiful after a year of growth. Love this beautiful nursery!

This is the planted tree that was labeled a Scarlet Fire Dogwood by the WM Nursery, but was a dogwood with the standard pint/white flowers.

Last year I donated a tree to Medina Park as part of their memorial donation program. We selected a spot and Pat suggested a dogwood would do well in there. I immediately knew that I wanted a scarlet fire dogwood, since I had only seen them once, the color blew me away and the blooms are later in the season so they they provide color once almost every other tree has lost its blooms. I usually buy my plants from Wells Medina Nursery (and the kind folks at Medina Park would pick up the tree for me and prep it for planting if I bought it at Wells Medina Nursery), so I called them and asked them if they had any in stock. They did! They had five trees tagged as scarlet fire dogwoods, so I immediately drove there and picked one out. They held it for me until the folks at Medina Park came to pick it up. Then we had a planting ceremony and I've been taking care of the tree (fertilizer, etc.) and memorial plaque on the regular. I was suprised to see buds on the tree in May, since the scarlet fire doesn't bloom until July/August. Then, they turned into the standard white/pinkish dogwood blooms. I did not get a scarlet fire dogwood from Wells Medina Nursery, though the tree I purchased was tagged as one. I was very disappointed, since I had been looking forward to seeing a pop of color that was different from all the other dogwood trees at Medina Park and the neighborhood in general. And the tree meant so much to me being a memorial donation and I had wanted it to stand out. There was nothing that really can be done now...it's my memorial tree and I'm going to continue taking care of it. But I did contact Wells Medina Nursery to let them know of the issue and to find out if they could figure out what went wrong and why the wrong tree was delivered? And if they could try to make sure this didn't happen to anyone else, especially in a case like mine where the tree was for a memorial donation and very sentimental. That was a month ago. The reason for the 1 star review is that they never got back to me. I even sent a follow up message and still crickets. They did not even bother to apologize or explain what they thought went wrong in the system and what steps they were taking to correct it. Not one word. This showed me that while I thought I was supporting a family owned local business that would care about its customers more, I was wrong. They do not care at all about their customers.

Wells Medina is by far my favorite nursery in the Seattle area. I especially love their selection of dwarf conifers, Japanese Maples and alpine Christmas Trees. Their staff is always willing to help and very knowledgeable, too. This is where I go if I am looking for something remarkable and distinctive that will capture my attention year round.

Wells Medina Nursery's selection of trees, shrubs, plants and all things garden is nothing to sneeze at. Their wide array of landscaping options allowed for variations for planning out the backyard layout. I do want to note to the owners that Rene impressed us immensely with fabulous customer service, helpful advice and her extensive knowledge went a long way in the design process. They do not normally have sales compared to their competition, but their prices remain reasonable.

Prices are surprisingly okay (okay, maybe on the high side but no more than Swanson's), considering the location and quality of plant material.

I paid about 40% more for a tree, a one inch caliper hornbeam in a plastic pot. The tree had a little bit of leaf burn on its new growth, but I chalked that up to being root bound in a pot, so I purchased the tree. I was landscape contractor for years, I have planted hundreds of trees so I planted this tree giving it the best possible chance for survival. With regular watering the leaf burn continued to spread, even though I held off on fertilizing the tree, until it showed signs of some growth so I wouldn't burn it or shock it. Last week I pulled it out of the ground because it was completely dead, when I did there was zero root development. Anyway, I know from experience that sometimes new plants just die but when I was running a landscape construction I warranted every plant I ever sold to a customer. If a plant died within the first year, I would replace it. I could usually bring these plants back to the vendor and exchange them for a new one, but those were real nurseries like Gurneys or Molbaks. I called this nursery and explained what I've written above and they told me they couldn't help me, I even asked if they would just give me another tree and they declined. We live in a different world, where accountability and responsibility are foreign to a lot of people. I won't be going back to Urban And garden.

When I called on Monday all I wanted was for PK the owner to be honest that this wasn't what was ordered and agreed upon. Went to his shop 2 to 3 times, sent pictures, and then he sends all 10 arrangements with wrong flowers. Then gave me dead flowers for cake, and asked him to bring over fresh flowers for cake and he didn't. He's not an honest person. For 1300 I think he switched to a cheaper flower to put in the arrangements. If you are having a wedding, and/or something special, don't rely on PK and his place. It is clear he doesn't care about his customers because then he tried to tell me he only charged me $750! No it's on my AMEX - 1300 because we agree to $100 per x 10 = 1K! So what really upset me and why I am doing this is because he isn't honest at all, and doesn't care about his customers. Gave them plenty of time - tipped everyone and still this guy lied. So I hope the $1300 was worth it because you did a bait and switch on me. I do not want this to happen to anyone else. Didn't even ask for money back and still, he could not be honest. I am not blind these are not the same colors PK. Good luck in your business.

They had samples of tea and coffee to try before committing to an entire bag which is pretty considerate. One of the workers was very helpful in explaining their coffee selection and how it was roasted. Yes, some items still have a mark up, but you're paying for the convenience of all the stuff being in one place. They can't exactly draw you in with a loss leader. I bought some Fran's Gray and Smoked Salt Caramels and I've been slowly enjoying them since!

MADE IN WASHINGTON @ BELLEVUE…read more Made in Washington is located inside Bellevue Square, and mall parking is free in any of the garages. I'd recommend parking under Macy's or H&M. There's usually plenty of parking, but on weekends it can get very busy, so you may have to circle a bit. This was my first time visiting Made in Washington, and it's a great stop if it's your first time in Seattle and you want to check out locally made products. As soon as you walk in, there's a lot of chocolate, along with kitchen décor, lotions, and soaps. Some items are on the pricier side, but there are also more affordable options. My mom and I found a lotion for about $14 that smelled amazing. They also offer plenty of samples, which I really liked. Overall, the value is pretty decent, you'll find some things you love and some you may pass on. The only downside was the customer service. No one greeted or acknowledged us, and it felt like most of the staff stayed behind the register. Despite that, I still had a great experience and would recommend stopping by if you're looking for gifts or products that are made in Washington.
