After all the ugliness of my uncles illness and feeling like I was thrown to the wolves at the hospital, to say that I was overwhelmed with the events that took place over the past few weeks would be an understatement. My thoughts were scattered and I was emotionally numb. I called Flynn funeral home at a most unorthodox hour and was stunned when Tommy Flynn answered the phone. Stunned. He was kind and patient and addressed my fumbling, babbling questions and requests and made me feel understood and most of all, like I was not sounding slightly insane. It turns out that Tommy has an excellent working relationship with the hospital where my uncle died and was able to expedite the process of having my uncle cremated remains and even the death certificates available in less than 72 hours. Tommy was more than professional and respectful, he was humble and so kind. So kind. I can't emphasize that enough. He didn't try to upsell me and he explained everything very well. I am so thankful for receiving the best service for my uncle and also for meeting Tommy. Goodness knows the number of broken hearts he must have seen over the years yet he was still so gentle. It meant the world to me.

Dryers took forever, adding cost while they failed to function properly. One washing machine broke after I put my detergent and money in. When I called the number, the owner advised me to move my detergent soaked clothes to another machine. As I was folding I realized my clothes picked up an awful smell from the washers and/or dryers and I spent $75 more dropping off my then-stinky clothes down the road to be redone because I was pressed for time. Owner said he would reimburse me, asked for my address to send a check, and never followed through. Months later, when I called to ask why, he said I needed to send him a receipt, something he initially said wasn't needed. I never bothered digging up my bank records or retrieving receipts from the log books where they did a much better job (across from the bus station). Just vowed to share my experience of their awful environment and the owner's idea of service in a review at some point. So now you know.

A woman alone at night in a laundromat is not my idea of safe and secure. I never felt unsafe, whether alone or as people came in and out. Be aware that the upper dryers get more use and their heat controls are not as accurate as the lower ones. Overall it was a good experience. P. S. If you haven't used a laundromat in a long time like me, the prices caught me off guard. Then made me laugh at myself.

After 10 days of very high heat (waiting for asbestos test)- I hired a public adjuster & decided not to continue with Cole & First Response. What followed was repeated communications demanding payment but they never provided an invoice to me or the insurance company! Bizarre. Perhaps they've hit a bump or hard times- but I can't recommend this service.

So what's the point ? I talk to the place I ordered it from and basically they said , " too bad". We only accept back items not used, contact the manufacturer. How would I know it didn't work unless I used it?? It's not dirty. I used it on my grass for about 5 minutes to see if I was using it wrong and I wasn't. Just doesn't keep the nuts in the basket. Been here on several other occasions unfortunately, one being last year when my cousin suddenly passed away. We are a big family, and a lot of us came to show our support, and it was rather comfortable in the place. Went here recently on Saturday May 13th for a smaller ocassion because my great aunt (my grandfather's sister), passed away. While we were a smaller crowd, it was short and simple. There was even a slideshow playing in the back, that was created by the funeral parlor. After the short wake, we waited in the waiting room area, where there was coffee, and bottled water. Suggestion is there should be a sign perhaps showing the water, because i didn't like the lemony water that was in the wake room. but overall beautiful place. Also though, the priest ranted on and on about god and had a very monotone voice throughout his speech. not a very good way to keep one's attention, and besides, not everyone is religous or grieves religiously.

They said his cremation was covered in order for me to sign the papers. It wasn't. I found out later that you have to go to the VA for that and it's just a small amont. I feel so swindled by them. I managed to pay them from my father's medicaid account ( he died with nothing) and they were paid!!! They didn't even send me a copy of my dad's death certificate and gave me the runaround just to be spiteful or they are just unprofessional. They ignored my emails and just decided to be cold and heartless about all of it since they didn't get the full amount they hoped for. Every phone call I made, everyone said the same thing, "the funeral home is supposed to give you a copy". I hope no one ever has to use this place. I was referred by my father's nursing home and I will let them know that it is not a good place to do business. Especially not for the grieving. Shame on them. I'm letting my Legion Post know about this. They only want your money. Find another funeral home. This is one is rude, cold and unprofessional.
