We walked from Eyre Square west across the Corrib to the end of Salthill Promenade. We took a different way back and he rang a friend who met us at The Kitchen. My friend, a vegan was well served. It was extremely refreshing and would pair well with nearly any drink. I ordered the veggie plate, see picture below. I asked for it to be made vegan of course! I unfortunately can't remember the exact name of the dish because i can't find a full menu online. This dish was extremely delicious! All of the vegetables were fresh and nothing was too salty. If anything it tasted a little on the bland side in terms of saltiness. But I loved it!!!! This dish truly made me feel as if I was nourishing my body with wholesome pure foods. When we arrived in Galway, we decided to find something a little lighter/healthier, so we were thrilled when our search yielded the TGO Falafel Bar. A cute little vegan takeout place, that does a brisk business. The service was top notch, and the open kitchen allowed us to creepily watch as the food was being prepared. I liked that I watched them cut the falafel balls in half, so that even though my wrap had two balls, they were distributed evenly throughout. I was also impressed with the amount of food that was shoved into our wraps/pitas. The pita seemed to fall apart a bit from the liquid, so wrap is definitely the easier one to eat on the go, while the pita gets you more food for only an extra euro or so. If we lived here, this is where we would get most of our meals from.

So I was offered a child's pizza for € 5 instead. My friend doesn't eat pork so we started debating which one to choose, when Papa Gino himself said "you will have chicken with cheese". I tried to get details by reading the menu and he said "it's not there, I just invented for you". Well, the pizza was OK - just OK, but the experience was fantastic. Papa Gino should be awarded as an Official Character of Limerick! He is fascinating and entertaining without even trying.
