As a late adopter of the game, I played my first ever round of golf around 2 years ago as a 24 year old at this course, and I have been absolutely addicted to the ruthlessly challenging, yet infinitely rewarding journey that is golf. While Brown Deer isn't the nicest course I have played during my short career, I still love to play 18 here whenever I get the chance. My wife, father-in-law, and I played here last on the final day of the 2025 season. Can't wait to come back in a few weeks!!!

Pretty easy setup for high level amateurs, but very fair. Make sure you're hitting the greens in the right spots, or your score will tally up. Played pretty well and shot 68 (-3), and left a few out there. If you are someone who averages 285+ off the tee, you'll be hitting wedges into a lot of holes. Par 5's play longer than the card says!

I enjoyed picking flowers and looking at the butterflies. The wine slushies were delicious and refreshing after picking the wildflowers/sunflowers. Ended with fries, wine and live music to wrap up the night. Beautiful farm to come enjoy the summer in. Highly recommend!

Waitress seemed annoyed we were there, was on her phone most of the time, dropped the food off and that was the last we saw her until we felt very much pushed out the door. I had a pocket full of quarters left for my kids to play before close, all while my wife has a moral dilemma of what to tip this person because it's their livelihood despite the awful job. I like this place, but I'm done eating and going to places where employees can sit on their phones and ignore people. There's plenty of places that don't allow it.

There are chairs in front of the stage, seat walls and terraced lawns for blanket and lawn chair seating. I came to see Tenecious D in late September. I was able to get in and find my assigned seat with no problem. Everything sounded great and looked great. The staff seemed to be helpful. I wish there had been a screen so I could see Jack Black a bit better, but also because I am sure people on the lawn could not really see anything... A couple of reasons I think it is just 'ok' - Bathroom situation. Since it is just portapotties, you'd think that you wouldn't have to stand in forever long lines-- lines that run into other lines and impede the walkway. - 'Food Court' was just hot dogs and hamburgers. While I did see one restaurant (Carlos O Kellys) set up inside, I was shocked there weren't more food trucks or other small businesses. - Holy beer line! I was shocked at how long the beer line was-- college and professional sporting events have shorter lines. - Parking. We lucked out with street parking nearby-- know it is not plentiful and be prepared to both parallel park and walk. Overall, I would come to another show at McGrath! Concert season is May through October so keep any eye out.

The myriad of floats include everything from political and religious organizations, to most of the news stations in town. Just about everyone throws candy and 2 or 3 toss waters or otter pops - on a hot day, those sugar bombs are worth their weight in whatever precious metal you prefer! A great place to kill a few hours with the kiddos every 4th of July and somewhere you'll most certainly get all the candy you desire!
