Located just far enough outside the noise of the city but not too far that it takes too much time away from the day to take a lesson. The drive from the city's center is just about 20 minutes and it never seems that long. For me, holding the golf club for the first time was as awkward as a blind date, but Matt, my golf instructor, eased me in to the stance and my game! That's right, I said game! I'm not going pro anytime soon or, ever really, but I absolutely feel that after the 4 lessons I have had that I have improved exponentially.Give me 4 more and I just might be able to go out with clients. He helps me help myself! He is an amazing golf instuctor with loads of experience and time on the course. Matt is extremely attentive and observant. His critique is professional and sensitive to my competitive, have to be awesome at everything nature. He allows me the opportunity to call myself out on my own mistakes and gives me a chance to correct them. I did learn the dress code the hard way. So, follow it carefully and be conservative! To be on the safe side, wear khaki pants and a shirt with sleeves and a collar. Nothing revolutionary for a country club, but these rules are nothing to push the envelope on.

If you sign up for their e-club you get a free green fee and also get updates on specials and a free round of golf for your b-day! That is what I like to hear free free free. Also it is fairly priced anyway so it wont break the bank. This is where my high school golf team had practices so I would say I am the most familar with this course. It is a fair course, with beautiful greens. The landscaping is very well kept compared to others in the area. They have leagues here too where are kind of cool, but also kind of annoying because it is so busy. All around great starter course.

The pricing for mini golf was really good better than anywhere else - unlimited and two different 18-hole courses (I will say the courses itself could use an upgrade - new paint or adding some objects to the course to make the established holes a bit more challenging. The driving range was also pretty cheap for buckets of balls - it would be a fun afternoon to bring the dads for driving range, the kids for mini golf and the moms can eat food and hang or enjoy the range as well. The food looked good, but we did not partake - the drinks were decently well priced - a can of beer 3.50 - a sway was 6 bucks. They have free concerts every now and then at their art installation, which is pretty cool, I also think it's cool how they do 5 buck Mondays. The staff was nice enough, my only complaint is the grass was a little overgrown, so we got ate up with chiggers and skeeters.
