Beautiful venue for the work holiday party. Gorgeous decorations, lovely live band and courteous…read morestaff. We had a great evening. The appetizers and dinner were both good. I loved the cheese puffs and the cheese assortment. For dinner i enjoyed the turkey and assortment of vegetables especially the carrots, asparagus and stuffed zucchini. Was impressed by the quality of the food as well as the helpfulness of the staff.

Atmosphere: Entrance was pretty nice albeit kind of confusing to get to the main entrance we ended up in a side parking lot as its not clear which pathway gets you to the main. Once inside we were greeted and direct to a side cocktail area with circulating canapes and flowing drinks. Afterwards we were directed to the main dining area which was immaculately set to the point of being intimidating I made sure to keep my elbows off the table. Bathrooms were very nice though the mens bathroom was a bit of a venture to find from the dining area. Overall its certainly got the stereotypical country club feel. Service: Very good - servers were all incredibly kind and attentive, I was certainly one of the more uncouth guests and I wasn't good at hiding how much I liked the canapes, the servers seemed to enjoy that and made sure to circle by me a bunch which I greatly appreciated. Only issue I had was a joke I made to I think the manager? not sure - where they brought out these absurdly tiny sundaes and I joked asking where the adult size was... Apparently jokes are not tolerated at the CCC - I was given the "you clearly don't belong here look" lol. Food: Best part were the canapes - specifically the cheese puffs, I woulda liked just a plate of those things. Drinks were pretty good too, house white was great and my gin and tonics were strong but not incapacitating strong. Salad was pretty mundane but my salmon was very good - filet was good as well. Had two options for rolls, one of which was a pretzel roll which I liked. Dessert as noted above was wayyyyyy too small it was like two bites of sundae but apparently we do not speak of this. It was a good dinner and certainly a fun night - that being said I have no idea how much this place costs and I imagine its far outside my conceivable budget

I've also attended numerous social events at Ivy Hills - again, good food and great staff. I've had brides who had their ceremonies at Ivy Hills and others that have had church weddings elsewhere. Many brides get ready in the little white house that is near the club house. The house has a nice staircase for some bridal portraits. The windows are large - lots of light. Another plus for some photos. There are many photo opportunities elsewhere - on the course and around the house and clubhouse. The hole right by the clubhouse has the best sunset, too. There's a little pond there. The interior of Ivy Hills is very nice - and they can accommodate many group sizes. For one wedding, we did a Chinese tea ceremony, and that was held in a smaller, front room. They really can handle larger or more intimate receptions. The food at Ivy Hills has always been very good - and the service is always great! They've treated me equally well as a guest or as a vendor. I would definitely recommend checking out Ivy Hills for your wedding ceremony and/or reception - they do a fabulous job!

We had the great pleasure of holding our 50th (ouch!) high school reunion at Highland Country Club…read more A small group of us had met with Dan Schlarman, the general manager, a few months ago to make arrangements. Dan was wonderful to work with. He was very accommodating in meeting our requests, and very helpful in making suggestions about our food choices and the general setup. The facility itself is great. The room looks out on the beautiful golf course, and there is an outdoor terrace and stone fireplace. The room itself is very nice, and was more than roomy enough for our group. There's even a dance floor and grand piano. (Which we oldsters were able to take advantage of, thanks to a classmate's Apple Music which he Bluetoothed through HCC's sound system). Our meal was very good, and there was plenty for all. Dan was gracious enough to let us bring in our own cake. They have a full bar, and John, our bartender, was excellent. Prices were quite reasonable at the bar, and indeed, for our whole event. To a person, the staff was wonderful and made us feel very welcomed and cared for. They didn't even seem to mind when a few of us lingered to listen to a few last songs. If you are looking for a facility to hold your special event, I cannot recommend Highland Country Club strongly enough. A first class facility and first class people. Very well done, and THANKS again!

Oof. I was in town with around 30 coworkers and one of them has a membership at this country club…read moreso we had a big dinner there one night. The building looked old and tired but there were a lot of cool things in the glass cases and whatnot. We get into the big open dining room and have our section all the way at the back towards the windows. The finger foods were really good - especially the brussels and the shrimp! We mingled for a bit and then sat down for dinner. The server that was handling my table said she was new, which I can forgive some of the stuff, but she literally messed up every single thing from start to finish. We ordered drinks, one coworker at my table asked if they had draft beers and the server said no, so she got a Stella in a bottle. Later on, we saw a draft beer going out to one of our other tables, and it was a Stella. They messed up a bunch of drinks at my table, getting people the wrong things. We had preordered our dinners (or so I thought) but they still asked us for our orders. Not a big deal. I got a ceasar salad and it came out with no dressing so I had to ask for some. Other first courses didn't come out and we had to track them down. Main course was ok, I got the steak. Nothing to write home about, legit just boring steak from a country club. Dessert time! They brought out the wrong stuff for people so we had to correct them. One person just didn't get his dessert at all and the servers had all disappeared so we had to track them down to get him his dessert. With so many mess-ups we seriously thought this has to be a joke. All the staff was very nice, just a frustrating experience. General consensus from all my other coworkers was "meh." I don't know, I guess I would expect more from a country club?

Two words: Hidden gem…read more Whenever I am feeling stressed or if it is an abnormally beautiful summer night I love to come here and hit off the top dock. I have been playing golf since I was three years old and this is a perfect oasis for me. It's quiet, serene and you can even get a strawberry shortcake ice cream in the shop. WIN! There is a small pro shop at the end of the long entrance. A basket of balls comes in $5 or $10. The large is $10 and is more than enough. This will last you about an hour. There are three places to hit, all of which go into a beautiful lake. The top deck which is my favorite, the tee's, and the grounds. The tee's are somewhat unpredictable and if it's hot out there is NO shade. My favorite part are the different colored boats in the water. If you hit any of them you pretty much win the day. My only real complaint about this place was that I didn't have my clubs one day and I just wanted to stop by and hit some, and the clubs that they have are rusty and straight out of the 70's. It might be a good investment for even a few new ones. So be advised -- bring your own clubs. Other than that, this is one of my all time favorite places to pass the time. Check it out!
