Everything is super convenient . Birds are chirping and the smell of sweet olive fills the air. I would recommend highly. Bed is super comfortable. There's a mini fridge and tv. Wifi. We found Marvilla online and booked a night there; my only regret is that we only got to stay for one night :) This place was such a peaceful retreat from the craziness of the French Quarter, it reminded me of the Louisana version of "Key West". Beautiful house and gardens. Michael, the owner, was great. Loved the beautiful room with the comfy bed and the lovely huge soaking tub that was perfect for a long bubble bath. It is in walking district to everything in the "Old Mandeville" area and so close to the lakefront. We walked to all of the surrounding bars and dining spots and just felt so relaxed !!!! The lakefront is lined with beautiful, raised, opulant Creole Cottages and huge trees dripping in spanish moss, it is a beautiful area. My advice is "GO STAY THERE", Micheal is a great host and we loved "Baby Cat", the 20-yeear old, one-eyed kitty who was our welcoming mascot.

Very large room, full of amenities and a very comfortable bed. Not only are the grounds breathtaking, the cabin is superb. This is a hidden gem for sure. Breakfast and wine are options as added frills. We eat a plant based diet so not sure about breakfast but it's probably good. We went to Petra's for dinner and were very happy with quality of food and service. The following day we did a hike recommended in visitors book. Our favorite part of stay was sitting by the fire with the dog and two cats. This place is highly recommend if you're into nature and comfort.

There are mid week specials to snag a deal but also luxury packages full with wine and breakfast. This cabin is absolutely idyllic. Must stay!
