Upon reporting the issues, front desk was not apologetic or seem to take the comments seriously...therefore we are disappointed considering the rental was $1150 for 3 nights and would recommend overall improvements in cleanliness.

Our campsite was concrete with a patio, not level side to side. It rained quite a bit while we were there and there was a literal swamp completely surrounding our site. You couldn't get to the basement on the side or to the hookups without standing in water. The roads were fairly easy to navigate but many people parked out in the road which made it difficult to maneuver in the RV when leaving.

One stopped in front of our truck and sat there for 5 minutes. The police said they are just coon hunters and come there every night rounding up their dogs and through the park is their only way in since the other side of the park is hunting land owned by the same people. Also, they own TWO casinos you have to drive through their lots to even get into the trailer park. Yes.. I said TRAILER PARK! It's a literal trailer park with over half the park being permanent residents who roam around and help themselves to trespassing through your RV spot to get to the lake that I'm pretty sure has zero fish. Six hours and not a bite. We have talked to two travelers who left out early. One forfeited quite a bit of money and had his lawn chairs stolen too. Also.. construction starts at 4 am so all you hear is tractors and beeping once the coon hounds finally quiet down. The sheriff said this goes on seven days a week. And the few "cabins" they have are tiny and used by maintenance to stay or someone who's been gambling and compt a room for the night. They're are maybe 4 other campers here at the moment and they all seem upset at the false advertisement. This is not a tranquil woody area. The lake does look nice but weedy off shore fishing and no bites at all. You also need to watch for gators and snakes. I can't believe we are stuck here after paying for 10 days. We're on day 3 and I'm about to just eat the money and make the 12 hour trip home. I'll definitely post some pictures tomorrow. DO NOT COME HERE unless you're just coming to gamble and need a place to crash. Just not friendly overall and NO REFUNDS! Highly upsetting

We love Jellystone parks and have stayed at several. This one is really something else. We had a…read moregood shady site and loved having a cement pad and patio. There were lots of activities that my teenage kids took part in. The hubs and I also took part in a couple activities. We tend to keep to ourselves and I think that is what saved us from this place. It is so large and there are so many people in this place that the staff really has to crack down on non-paying customers. So much so that we saw a fight break out between staff and a family whose kid either lost or wasn't wearing his wristband. They were paid campers and it got to a level that it shouldn't have gotten to. I later read other reviews complaining of the the way the staff handles such situations, even when it is small children involved. The chaos level goes from 0 to completely bonkers in just a few seconds. There are A LOT of golf carts. Many are suped up and the owners insist on blaring their awful music as they roll through the grounds all hours of the day. That isn't management's fault, just an observation of the kind of people who stay there. I didn't go to the pool but my kids did. They said it was dirty and there was all kinds of stuff floating in the water. They probably could have made sweet bank selling black market wristbands with all the ones they found in the pool. The bathhouse. Oh lordt. Many, many campgrounds half the size of that one clean their restrooms and showers 2 times a day. This place should definitely start doing that, especially since the floors pool water from the showers. Shower shoes are not enough. Waders would be better. The laundry rooms need help, too. 3 washers and 3 dryers in the one near the front of the campgrounds. Out of order signs on 1 w and 1 d. I watched a woman try to put quarters in one of the "working" dryers and the slot looked bent and unless she jammed the quarter in, it wouldn't go. Then, when she decided that wasn't normal and didn't want to try her luck, it wouldn't give her money back when she pushed the coin return button. That's when I decided I don't mind doing a couple extra loads of laundry when I got home a couple days later. Oh... and no change machine. I walked up to the ranger station for quarters and the guy was a little bewildered when I asked for $3 in quarters. My family had a good time but I seriously doubt we will be back. I would only recommend staying there to friends who I know have strong ties to and are exceptionally comfortable with the redneck, diehard tailgating, and rebel rousing communities.

There were a few other people on the trail today, though no bikes. We even saw a tri-color Corgi-mix with beautiful blue eyes! The trail is very well marked, although I typically get lost around the washout, but that's me being stubborn. Sorry for the dead end footprints, y'all! Found my way quickly along the trail past the Day Use area this weekend - I didn't ask for directions, of course - and had a great workout. He's short and I'm old, so we make a great hiking team. Just sharing here - I picked up a set of bone conduction headphones and listened the book of Psalms while hiking through creation - it was a deeply spiritual day and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to share that moment here. Definitely check out the hiking trail, it's about 5 miles with only a couple mild - moderate climbs and makes for a nice Saturday adventure. Check out the little shops and stores in Folsom when you're done!

Miss Lorraine checked me in and she was so gracious and helpful. The park is very well thought out, only a couple of minutes from I-12, and can accommodate huge Class A buses all the way down to my little Class C. All of the spots are cement, so no gravel flying out of your tires for the first 20 minutes after you pull out. The first day we got there we were greeted by a shirtless man driving a golf cart. He was one of the owners. I told him that we would like a spot that was considered "one of the best" in his opinion. He led us to a spot that didn't really look that bad. We set up shop and were waiting for our friends/co workers to arrive. When they arrived they also asked for the man's opinion on a good spot. I heard him clear as day say "Well anywhere that's not next to that guy." He then pointed to me, "it floods over there every time it rains." I had already spent hours setting up our spot the way that my family wanted it and decided not to move. Big mistake! Every time it rained for more than a couple of hours I had standing water that covered my entire ankle. Since it's Louisianna and it always rains there was one time where the water was literally about to be touching the underbelly of my camper. The bathrooms were filthy at any given point. The washer and dryer's were always malfunctioning and out of order. And when they were working nine out of 10 times they ate your money and did not let you use the machine. The owners, a woman and a man, were always rude and always had a beer in hand. The only positives I can say about this park is that you did have a lot of space in between spots so you weren't packed in tight. In my opinion do not stay at this park unless you absolutely have to for some reason. The only reason I'm giving it to stars is because of the big spots.
