Courteous librarians at this location. We visit this place weekly. I love to change out my old…read morebooks for new ones, they have a wonderful selection. My younger daughter loves to hang out in the play area and color the printed color sheets. We also check out books weekly to read at bed time. It's always something for her to look forward to. For my older daughter, they always have the curtain books she looking for, wether it be for fun, or school related. Also, there selection of PG dvds is so great! They have so many news ones, they even offer movies that are currently in REDBOX still! They also have all your older classics. It's great for family movie night. There are two children's computers pre loaded with children games they are great for my pre schooler. They also offer free story time during the week, for different ages. I haven't been to that yet, but we are going to check it out!

And if we can't find what we need at the location, we just go online to the Greene County system to reserve items, and within a few days they are available for pick up. When the kids were little, we would walk over and participate in toddler story time - they are always friendly and welcoming. The staff is helpful but no-nonsense, just like you would expect a librarian to be. The library is in a neat old stone building - every time I walk in the front door, I can feel the history of Bellbrook. Every spring, the Garden Club does a great job with the landscaping and flowers out front. We love our community library!

The West Carrollton branch of the DML library system shares a building with the Civic Center,…read morealthough you aren't really able to tell from the inside. It boasts just over 16,000 square feet and was renovated in 2018. Reservable spaces include two 4-person quads, a 10-person conference room and a community room for up to 50 people. The conference room at this location is one of the larger conference rooms I've seen thus far at any DML branch, with reclining office chairs to boot. However, neither the quads or conference room have windows facing the outside. There is a quiet room with a two 4-person tables and a couple reading chairs that does have windows to allow light in from the outside. There is also a teen corner with a few booths, but other than that there are limited tables throughout the main part of the library, mainly just reading chairs. Like all DML branches, this branch is clean and well-maintained.

I drove there on a day they were going to be open .. went around 1pm .. figured no way they wouldn't be open. Well do the the carona virus they were only open for 3 hours .. 3-6. I called and said didn't know .. only have 1 item and i'm here now. Nooooo way could they be bothered. instead they put people items in the lobby where anyone could take them. i was the only one there .. and the staff were in there ... I was speechless at their attitude. Another time i put a movie on hold .. was waited and waited and waited A YEAR .. apparently not all the branches share the items bought with tax dollars. i challenge you to put a movie on hold at any of the Dayton branches and do the same at any other area libraries ... you will die of old age waiting on Dayton. The only reason i use it is there is a rare time when the other libraries dont have something. but not a fan. Especially when they are funded by donations and taxes .. you'd think they would be more concerned with providing better service to keep the donations and voters willing to fund them.

After visiting a different Dayton Metro Library branch last week and being rather impressed, I…read moredecided to stop by the Southeast (Belmont) branch. It is located adjacent to Belmont High School, and if you have any trouble finding it on Apple maps like I did, just continue east on Wayne Ave past Belmont High School, take a slight right onto Watervliet Ave and the parking lot entrance is on your right. According to the website, this branch opened in August 2019. They have several different study/meeting spots, including three 4-person rooms, two 2-person 'tutor' rooms and two group study rooms to accommodate 6-8 people. In addition they have various tables and reading areas spread throughout. In the back left corner you will find a 'quiet reading room' with several tables and a few chairs. After spending the morning there, I only had a few qualms. The lightening in the quiet reading room is not the brightest, and if it weren't for the natural light coming in through the windows, the room would be rather dim (thinking at night time or on a cloudy day). Also, there was a pretty annoying consistent clicking sound that appeared to be coming from one of the air vent ducts in the quiet reading room. I ended up moving out into a different area because of it. Overall though, this is a very nice, clean library with several spots to read a book or get some work done.

They always have a rack right by the door of new releases and I can usually always find my next great read. The shelves are always organized and it's easy to find exactly what your looking for. The computer work well and the staff is super friendly. The bathrooms are also clean and well kept. I also really appreciate all the extra groups and meeting a they hold there. There is something for everyone! The library card also gives you access to the Libby app which has almost unlimited audiobooks and e-books you can download straight to your phone or tablet.

There are multiple different places to read or get work done, including three 4-person study rooms, a 6-person group room, conference room for up to 20 people, community room for up to 40 people, and a large quiet area with reading chairs and tables. There are also multiple tables throughout the main area of the library. Lots of windows let in a good amount of natural light which is always a plus. The children's areas are near the front and somewhat sectioned off, which helps with noise. There are male/female bathrooms right by the entrance, and a family restroom in the back near the quiet room. The inside is clean and well-maintained. Overall, another great DML branch!
