I hired Mr. Celaya to assist me with a family matter concerning my mother's estate. He was paid upfront for his services, which lasted about a month. He assured me that he was fully capable of handling the complicated situation I was facing, but he ultimately did not fulfill the responsibilities for which I hired him. Terrible experience! I set up a zoom consultation, the guy was 5 minutes late to join the call. Super arrogant and disrespectful right off the bat. I started by explaining my situation currently and what my goals were in the future as it pertained to my business ventures and trust. After less than expected performance by the attorney who did initial intact & purportedly updated the family Trust, I wrote a letter of inquiry to owner/lead attorney asking for answers. He responded knowing of my previous "scathing" Yelp review and said he would "still" talk with me. Unfortunately, when we spoke he had not done his homework, as he did not have answers for most of my questions. Now they have issued large disbursement checks prior to sharing accounting of where funds came from. Additionally, the attorney misrepresented their duties at initial meeting as today's conversation revealed they never handle long term trusts. Hence, what my mother expected and thought was accepted has been passed off to someone else without honoring original conversation and/or prior discussion of all interested family members. Granted, this trust has very rare components (which were revealed with transparency and full disclosure) but the firm quickly took the money to do the job they have now given to others! I was treated harshly for holding them accountable! Makes me wonder why they are unprepared for questions and defensive when asked of their performance. First off, this man is very "real", compassionate, knowledgeable and I feel like family just being around him. He told me his story of his first client ever and that's how He choose the area of law to specialize in. Its a very gut wrenching story. My brother is schizophrenic and has always had got a shitty blow just with his mental illness. His own brother then cousin took advantage of him, My cousin is a coward. A few years ago, we decided that it was time to start a Trust. We were aware of the issues and problems that our inheritors would have to face if something were to happen to us. As recent critical events took place in the world, we were pleased to have a trust in place. Very comprehensive & there is even room @ the end for a few questions & answers. My Wife & I were not only seeking information for ourselves, for my Wife's Mother who just lost her Husband.
