We had put off getting our living trust done for years and one reason was that we did not know of anyone locally who offered that service. It turned out that Andy Miner is local and is an estate planner. So, not to put this off any longer, we setup a meeting with Andy and got the process going. I engaged Mr. Miner on two different civil litigation matters. I. The Litigation Matter Against a Mechanic: The first litigation matter, involved recovering funds from a mechanic who damaged my engine which, subsequently required complete replacement. Andy, assisted with preparing and filing the initial complaint, motions, service of process documents and delivered them too, all in an accurate, timely, and effective manner. In other words, there were no defects in my litigation filings upon which the Judge or Defendant could have summarily dismissed my case. Further, he coached and prepared me well for court by critically listening to me plead my case before the trial date - in a comfortable setting at Starbucks. He focused me on the important facts and circumstances that the Judge would weight and consider, since I would only be allowed 5-7 minutes to present my pleadings. PHAM II. The Already Paid Billing Issue: In another matter, I began receiving bills for professional services rendered 4 years earlier that were paid in full 4 years earlier. These out-of-the-blue billings made no sense. Upon consultation with Andy, we sat down to review the original files and agreement and we discovered the services were misrepresented and indeed had been paid in full. Refreshingly, Andy's approach was in stark contrast to the traditional aggressive and adversarial approach. He suggested submitting a letter requesting supporting documentation for these billings while clearly stating they had already been paid in full too. I have to recommend Andy Miner to anyone wanting to update their Trust or Will or actually set up a Trust, Will and/or Estate Planning. My husband and I just had Andy help us with updating our trust. He did a fantastic job helping us with some difficult decisions. He thought of stuff we didn't even think of. He helped us put our wishes into words and helped to to clarify some of our wishes quite clearly. We are both retired from the legal field and were amazed at the things we never thought of. Andy came to our home to chat and go over our wants and needs. He prepared everything, including our Trust, Wills, DPOA, Advanced Directives, cover letters to all banks, assessors, Insurance companies, Time Share company, etc. He had every envelope addressed and ready to send after we had all our documents notarized.
