I sent 4 emails and a text message before I received any response. The owner was apologetic for taking so long to reply but she did not correct the issue. After finally receiving a response I sent a screen shot of the email download to show the misinformation. I have not received any response to my last email. I did not want a refund, I just wanted the correct clipart file. As a small business owner I cannot waste money, no matter the amount.

I hired SoChic by Shakea for my baby shower on September 16th, 2017. At this point, I can't say…read morethat I was completely satisfied with her service nor would I be able to recommend her future for business. Few issues: 1. During our planning phase she requested a minumin of 1.5-2hrs to set up. I had to pay the venue for the extra set up time which initially wasn't a problem. It became an issue when the day of the party she did not arrive on time to set up (12:00-1:30). She did not show up until 12:45 and the shower was suppose to start at 1:30. She did not finish decorating until 2:30 and my guest were forced to sit in the lobby an hr into the start of the shower. I was not refunded any of the money that I paid to have her set up. Not to mention my mom and my cousin where helping her set up due to the fact that they were so far behind. 2. She did not call me nor did anyone from her team letting me know that she wasn't going to be on time. I had reached out to her around 12:30 to see how things were coming along with no response. I then called someone who was at the venue to see how things were progressing. Only after that did she decide to call me at 1:15 to tell me that she was late. I am understanding that things happen, but I'm sure she realized ahead of time that she wasn't going to make the time we agreed upon. When that was realized, I should have received a call/text from her or her team, but I did not. Her reasoning for not calling was that she didn't want me to alarm me. 3. When we orginally spoke I was suppose to have up lightng for my back drop that was also not present. We had three empty jars that were on the sweet table that were missing items. She did provide reimbursement for those three items that were missing. Overall, I think that this event could have been handled with more professionalism. I think the job was rushed which didn't leave me with a great experience. My guest had a great time, but unfortunately with this being my first experience with her I am unable to give her a positive recommendation.

I was determined to actually be able to enjoy the day and the party and that absolutely would not have been possible without Zenobia. The couple of weeks leading up to the party she was all over the coordination of vendors, food, decorations and in my opinion the bang for the buck is definitely on the day of. She arrived to decorate and coordinated with the couple other vendors we had hired. An hour leading up to the party I was sitting on the couch taking a rest while all the kids napped all thanks to Zenobia! She is amazing and we had an amazing party in large part because of her.

It was such a pleasure working with Elegant Event Lighting for our wedding in December! Jay was…read morereally helpful and easily accessible during the planning phase. I was initially reluctant to pay the extra money for special lighting, but we are so happy that we did; it made all of the difference. We used patterned lighting of flowers in our ceremonial space at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and it made the room look absolutely breathtaking. Also Jay suggested to me that we use chuppah lighting, and my photographer was greatly relieved about this. When she initially saw the space without the lighting, she was concerned how she was going to capture our faces. She made a point to tell me about how important it was that we had this lighting. We also rented three chandeliers for the dance floor (also suggested by Jay), and it gave the room such an elegant appeal. I also was really impressed by EEL's set up team. I didn't realize how many people were required to set up these lights. They were running around busily and efficiently for hours. Our wedding coordinator said, "We've got the A team working here!" We're so happy to have hired EEL for our wedding!

She worked so well with all my vendors, some a little more difficult then others - but you would never have guessed by the way she was able to pull everything together. When the day finally arrived and I walked into our venue, my jaw dropped. I could not believe how amazing everything looked - I had a vision in my head but Alysson really pulled everything together and it looked 100% better then anything I could have ever imagined. To give you a better picture of what she had to work with, our venue was at an art gallery, aka a blank canvas. Everything had to be brought in by separate vendors - catering, rentals, decor, lighting, alcohol, desserts, etc - which took A LOT of organizing. On top of that, I work in the creative industry and have a passion for DIY, as does my family. We had a lot of custom ideas and hand-made decorations we needed Alysson to coordinate. It was a lot of extra work, but she seemed to breeze through it all. On top of all that, Alysson was a lifesaver throughout the wedding itself. She kept us on track and anytime we needed something or couldn't find one of the vendors or had a question, Alysson was there. She took care of everything and I am so grateful to her for helping pull off such an amazing day!
