My son loved this huge park! The splash pad is right next to the playground so he loved running back and forth. There was plenty of tables in a shaded area to hang around to have a snack or lunch. The playground was huge and very colorful, it was very pleasing to the eyes. Bonus is there's a bathroom pretty close to this area as well. I've seen other parks (smaller) with no bathrooms or they are far away. If we lived closed we would be coming back here more often.

The best part about living in Allen TX is being right next to Celebration Park. This park is pretty huge and offers something for people of all ages. There is a area for everything whether it's soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball/softball, barbecue grills, playground, spray-ground, picnic tables, covered pavilion, biking and hiking trails, walking or just sitting by the ponds and watching ducks. My favorite things to do here are, riding my bike on the trail, walking and taking my son to the enormous playground. During the Summer, they turn on the water sprays and many kids along with my son love it. The park is always kept clean and patrolled by the Allen City security. Not sure how clean the bathrooms are since I live very close by. Even after dark its safe and sometimes well lighted. Another event I look forward to during the Summer is the Allen USA Celebration held at the park. This is an elaborate 4th of July celebration with a food zone, kid zone, various vendors, live concert and the spectacular fireworks. There's even special seating for veterans which is amazing. They also have an area with firetrucks displayed for kids to learn about and take pictures with. But the fireworks finale is what everyone waits for and it's breathtaking every year. I love that they have the fireworks choreographed to the music! To get the perfect spot you have to go early because it gets super crowded. So this park is nothing less than a gem in our very backyard. If you're into photography then it's great for taking pictures especially just before sunset Next time you're in Allen, stop by and take a look yourself!

Great place to run, walk, fly kites, play sports, throw frisbees, feed ducks, etc. The restrooms are spacious and always clean. Perfect for families and kids of all ages to just get outdoors and expend some energy!

Very nice park to walk around and bring your kids to play. There is also a little water play area during the correct seasons that children can play in. I think it is closed on Wednesdays for cleaning. There are plenty of restrooms and a few water fountains by the play area. On the weekends the park is full of kids playing organized sports. Fun place.

Beautiful park!

Such a beautiful park! Kept well clean and hooray for no doggie poops! As a dog owner, it's a great feeling when you know other owners are picking up their fur baby's poop too. I love coming here on a weekday where I can let my dog sniff and walk around on his retractable leash. Park is supplied with poopie bags and there are trash cans everywhere!

Looking in from the parking lot this evening as I finish a short walk. Quiet this evening with 43 out here.

Love this place. Splash pad, slides, and swings. Also, a large field to run around in. Easy to get to. Free!

Ask the Community - Celebration Park

When does the splash pad open this year?

They open during summer. However, on Wednesdays they are closed for maintenance.

Is there anywhere for dogs to swim in this park? I have a tripawd that needs to swim now since she can't run with us anymore.

I have been to park multiple times, could not find a specific place for pets..I would confirm that only after calling park. ((214) 515-6615) open 9:00-5:00 weekdays. Good luck

We came on a Wednesday and the splash pad was closed for maintenance reason but we will come back soon to explore that part too!

Passing this park on an out-of-the-way side street for the last two years, I noticed a "workout area" towards the entrance to the park. I made a mental note to stop and check it out but, never did until today. I usually work out daily at the recreation center but, recently due to Omnicron, I've been looking for an interesting outside place to get some exercise. I remembered passing this place and decided to check it out. On pulling up I was initially disappointed. I guess I thought the structure should be bigger, more interesting, more challenging! then I started using it. Bam!!! Hello! I thought I was in decent shape for my age but, boy was I wrong. I couldn't even make it through a few exercises on this "adult playground"!!!! It just shows you can't judge a book by its cover or make assumptions. You have to Do It. this great little outdoor gym known as the Miracle is just that. In a fairly small area, several exercises are demonstrated via placard if you need them. It will wear you out, challenge you in ways you didn't anticipate. I'm so glad I found this outdoor place to exercise in the fresh air at this time. I feel I'm getting a type of physical challenge that I didn't inside a gym. Definite Go!

It is within eyesight of the Allen Eagle Stadium. There are beautiful, walking trails and bicycling paths. Much of the length of some of the trails runs along the creek. There is a BMX track and skate park, baseball/softball diamonds, hiking & biking trails, grill and picnic table, a playground, and more. I was just here for a stroll. I had been at the dam site on the other side of Exchange Parkway, and there was a trail connecting the two areas that I walked. It was a nice paved trail that is protected by surveillance cameras. I was surprised to see the fantastic historic area upgraded to paved trails, new bridges, flood control, fencing and legends. The place can be hard to find as it is in a parking lot behind a light manufacturing complex. However, its worth the search and find. Lower your expectations because its not an in-your-face fabulous tourist attraction. As a matter of fact, few know it's even here. On the other side of the trees lies a major interstate highway heading north with a constant stream of heavy traffic. Ironic since the road is paralleling the very railroad tracks laid 150 years ago heading north to the rest of the country. This dam was built in 1874 to pool water in the stream as a source for passing locomotives! What a feat when you consider how many of these they had to build in this country to run the steam engines. Im glad this has been preserved for everyone to think about how recently in our history no one lived here and transportation equipment ran on water! Recommend checking it out. Go!
