This place is for LITTLE KIDS. Let's temper our expectations with the price per person that you're paying. It's basically a warehouse with scale models of a ton of dinosaurs. There's a room that plays a dinosaur documentary from BBC and has a few replicas of skulls and eggs. That's it. That's the museum. It's a spot where little kids can see replicas of dinosaurs and be a little rowdy while they check out the animals. There's nothing interactive here so if you read no placards, sure you might be able to run through it in 5 minutes. I didn't even read all the placards or watch the entire documentary but my husband and I were still here for an hour. There is a small gift shop filled with toys, but again, this is not a world class museum, it's a little spot where you can get out of the bad weather, bring your small child and not have to worry about them being too loud in a museum. This is a low-key dinosaur museum. They have their own free private parking spots. The museum is larger than it looks, but is not huge. You start and end your tour in the museum's gift shop. They do not have any animated dinosaurs, just a bunch of life sized statues of them. The museum offers a scavenger hunt, where you find 10 gold fossils throughout the museum. If you successfully complete the scavenger hunt, you get 10% off your gift shop purchases. I found the scavenger a bit distracting though. My kids were more focused on the scavenger hunt than enjoying and learning from the museum. In addition to the many dinosaur statues, the museum has pre-historic human skulls, fun facts, fossil imprints, and a very small theater where they have a dinosaur movie playing on loop. It took us about 30 to 45 minutes to go through the entire museum. And they seemed pretty common for all the other visitors that I saw. The gift shop has toys, stuffed animals, coloring books, posters books, and other novelties. The museum's dinosaurs are realistic, well put together and I enjoyed my brief time there. It is one of the more reasonably priced attractions in Branson, but is not a big time consumer. Be sure to check their website. They listed a code word on there to use when I purchased tickets that saved me $2 on adult admission. They will not volunteer this information, so be sure to look. The word I used was DINOROAR 2023. This is a low-key, very kid and mobility-challenged friendly museum. The dinosaurs are approximately life-size, and some of them are absolutely huge. They also have a cat that is willing to give you a tour. Not kidding. The cat took us through the entire exhibit, and was extremely adorable. I recommend this activity and it takes about an hour. This museum was not our vibe. We went because we got two free tickets and were hoping for something fun. It was not worth the money or our time. I think that if you were with younger children it could be really fun, but a group of college kids didn't have a ton of fun. Would not recommend going! My daughter really loves studying about dinosaurs, so on our vacation we made sure to make the Dinosaur Museum part of our trip. Pulling up with the family it did not look as big as I thought but I was pleasantly surprised when we entered the building. The life size dinosaurs and all the information given with each one had my daughter so excited we were there for 2 hours taking pictures and reading all the great information posted with each dinosaur. A plus to the experience we were given a sheet for a scavenger hunt as we toured each area, which we all enjoyed. The young lady working in the gift store was so informative and very friendly. It's short, dank, and has a leaky roof, but my 4 and 5 yr old loved it. Good for a rainy day. The placards are so poorly written they sound like a poorly educated 6th grader wrote them. Again, my kids loved it. Dinosaurs look pretty cool really. On a side note, why don't the dinosaurs in these museums ever have an anus? How did dinosaurs poop? Today I took my 2 year old, and 6 month of old boys along with my wife to the Dinosaur Museum. Had a great time! My 2 year old is obsessed with Dinosaurs and he just had the best time! The lady behind the counter was FANTASTIC! Everything in the exhibit looked phenomenal. The only reason they are getting 4 stars is that it was over very quickly. We were in Branson for a vacation and needed something fun to do. My daughter loves dinosaurs and so we decided to come here. Based off of the previous reviews and photos, I knew what to expect. It is a smaller museum, nothing amazing, but it is fun for kids. My daughter loved it and that is all that mattered. Reasonable priced, a lot of dinosaurs and plaques that you can learn from. There is also a video at the end you can watch, but I had to stop watching it after the baby got eaten - why does the baby always have to get eaten in those kinds of videos!! C'mon people! Price was okay, maybe a smidge much for what it was. I've definitely seen better dinosaur exhibits, both permanent and traveling ones. Google said they opened at 9AM, but their website said 10AM, so we waited until 10AM to go only to find a sign on the door that said "Summer hours 9AM," which was a little annoying. I figured their website might be wrong since even the website looked pretty outdated. There was one young guy working, who was nice enough. We were the only ones in there on a Friday morning in mid/late August (which we liked). The sign outside the front says over 50 models, which is true if you include non-dinosaur skulls. It's definitely outdated, which I expected, so I wasn't disappointed in that respect. I'm always up for another dinosaur exhibit. The dinosaurs were obviously plastic or whatever, not a good "convincing" material. One was a "skeleton," but the rest were "flesh." There were a few skulls of other creatures in cases, as well as several humanoid skulls and various bird eggs. There are small-ish plaques to read about each. Including time to read, it took us about an hour to make it through. The only real complaints other than the dinosaurs themselves being outdated and sticking to old-fashioned plaques to read (no multi-media used or anything to mix it up and make it interesting) was the walk area was so tight, it's tough to get a good view or photos of many of them, since they're so big. Would be even tougher with a crowd. There was a video near the end in a "theater" that sat 9, which we spent 10 minutes watching, but once it ended, it was clear they were playing an entire series of dinosaur episodes from the BBC. I guess more information could be considered better by some, but I'd rather have a 10-20 minute film that I could watch in its entirety. I didn't want to be there all day, so we left when it was clear it was a new episode starting. There was also a sand pit with "fossils" inside for kids to find. Meh.....took our five year old who is completely in awe of dinosaurs. Not very large.....very dark.....but the temps are cool inside while it's 106 degrees outside. Used a coupon off the website and two adults and one child entered for around $35. Probably twice the price I felt would be sufficient. The replicas are kinda cool however. I thought this Dinosaur Museum would be great for my 2 year old son. It was a very short museum. The dinosaurs look like they were made from plastic and no creativity. This place is very outdated, dusty, and not very clean. The kid center had coloring, computer game and puzzles. Some of the puzzles were missing or broke. Computer games were not so bad but they were dirty, so if you are a germ worry person do not touch!. Coloring was ok, a little boring. My wife and I just took our 3.5 and 1.5 year old boys. They both enjoyed it tremendously. My 3 year old watches the dinosaur train tv show so he knows all the Dino names. He was so excited walking through the exhibit we tried slowing him down where we could and then walked through the exhibit a second time to be sure we saw everything. They had a very small movie room showing a life like Dino show. After 10-15 min we had to take our kids out as the show was showing one Dino killing another. This was followed by a very small sand box with fossils the boys dug out. We ended the tour by getting some free coloring pages from the front desk and coloring. Overall this is a small museum. We strung out the experience to a little over an hour, which for our kids' ages was about perfect. Total cost was $22 for two adults and two kids under 4. read more

We thought this was a must b/c our 5 year old is really into Dino's.....it was my husband and 3 kids. Adult age is considered over 13. We paid nearly $50 and it didn't take more than 15-20 min to walk through. Little one enjoyed it, but the rest of us were disappointed having been charged to watch him..... it's like taking your kid to the cool playground and everyone with you is changed to watch the kids play. :( pretty small place and too pricy for the amount of money paid....just my opinion. read more
