It is too stressful to come here because they don't allow you to reserve a bed. I only do the red light therapy because tanning beds in general are so dangerous, but my issue is they change the rules every time I go there. If you are doing more than one service, you can't reserve the second one, so if someone walks in when you have a minute or so left in the first service, they let the walk in go before you, and you have to wait. All well and good, but the next time I go, one of the 2 beds is open, but the girl won't let me in, and says I have to wait because someone else reserved it, who was in another service. So I sat there and waited 15 minutes before leaving. Their other customer could have waited 2 minutes, instead of me waiting over 20. So I asked the girl why I couldn't reserve it last time I was there, and had someone else go in while I was in the first treatment, and she said that "she worked there the longest". I said then why don't you let the other employees know, so everyone is treated the same. So tonight I went, and was told I could do the 10 minute bed, and that someone else was already in the other one. I asked if I could do that one too, and she said yes. So when I came out, the first person was still in it, but now there was another person that had walked in that was now in front of me also. That was enough for me. I left and I had already cancelled my membership after the last 2 times, it was a horrible way to treat someone, and it has just turned into a big stress every time going there, and every time treated without any critical thinking. read more

The staff is great, Hailey in particular is SO sweet, so helpful, and always has a smile on her face! I am a regular client at Celebrity Tanning, but today I received excellent customer service. I typically tan 3 times a week so I am a familiar face, however today Angelina, who turns out to be the manager of the salon went above and beyond. She is always pleasant but today she addressed me by my name when I was leaving. She also did not have to ask me my name when I arrived by looking me up in their computer system. Absolutely terrible customer service. The manger let me know on Monday she would call or email me. It is Tuesday and no response. I even went to the website and requested for corporate to call me. The manager gave me a number for her boss as I asked. No answer three calls. And of course the voicemail is full. Sad to see a company I liked prior have such low customer service. I called today. I asked the front desk girl if she could look to see if my account had notes as if I waited for tomorrow to try back it would be ridiculous considering I had been waiting since Friday. She finally looked it up and what do you know updated notes. Which was a crap response. She says to me, I should be more professional. Excuse me??? I'm the upset customer. You argued about looking on my account because you did not think the manager would update notes in there. Well she did. I made a purchase for a lotion. But didn't use it as I was getting a spray tan. Ten minutes of my purchase she cannot do any returns. And she would have to ask corporate. However she wouldn't let me take my tanning bottle I paid for she wouldn't give me a return on?? How are you going to keep my product. Not give me a return and still not get back to me by Tuesday? Five days later. And come to find out last month when I went to this same managers other salon to sign up for monthly membership she never registered my account no record of the account, but they have my tan I did recorded so I had to re sign up. You would think after making a mistake you'd want to show little better customer service. I will not return. The location on Rural had much better service and they too said the manager could have given me a refund the same ten minutes after I made a purchase. I used celebrity tanning services for a few months and decided to cancel because I just didn't really care about how tan my body is. I went in to cancel the service and something got messed up. The service wasn't actually cancelled and I was continuing to get billed. I spoke with Amanda about this issue, she spoke with her manager and promptly got back to me explaining they are refunding all the charges. This made me so happy. This place is my oasis! I recently made the switch from a competitor and I'm so glad I did! The salon is beautiful, I've only been to the FLW location so far but can't wait to see the others! Taralynn was so incredible at getting me signed up and ready to go, the prices were exactly as stated on the website so there were no surprises. FYI - Celebrity Tanning is actually cheaper for monthly packages than others and they have better beds! Taralynn also took the time helping me pick out my new lotion and was so knowledgeable about each bottle on the shelf. I was not disappointed with my choice, thanks Taralynn! I love this tanning salon I've had contact dermatitis and I thought I was allergic to spray tan and it was causing it but I love being tan... but I also can't tan in the beds cuz I have moles that should be watched and not be exposed to the sun. so I'm in a hard place the manger I think named Amanda let me try both and was so sweet to my needs... and come t find out I can do the Versa I'm so grateful that Amanda was kind of enough to help me figure out what worked best for my skin I will always be a member at celebrity tan! read more

When I called to ask about the services and prices I was provided the details I needed and the best part was I didn't get rushed off the call. In fact I was able to ask questions and being new to the area she even made sure the location was the closest one for me to visit. I ended up joining that day and have been a member for a few months. I've been going to this location for almost 5 years since I've moved to the city. And before that I was a client of the Tempe location. I've been a client for a few years. It's been my favorite place for tanning, lotions. Last night I had a horrible horrible experience that my boyfriend had to come out of the car and check what was going on. I'm going to say I've been coming to tan after or before I work out at the gym next door. Never had a problem. But the recent or the lady that call herself the manager last night when I asked her if she was the manager had treated so condescending, so disrespectful and so rude. I left the location crying. I've believe she was training someone new. So when I check in I gave here the name in the account then she proceeded to tell me I couldn't tan because the account wasn't mine, I said what do you mean the account isnt mine? She was well it's not yours the account says it's a male are you a male. First of all there were other people waiting in there and her comment made feel so uncomfortable and humiliated. Never expected to be questioned about my sex or if do or not look like a woman was not something I was ready for. I proceeded to tell her that doesn't make any sense I came to tan 3 days ago and before that last week and I didn't had this problem. I been tanning here for almost 5 years and I've never been ask this. I told her look and I quote the name is my boyfriends, he had an account but cancel it 3 months ago because he got horribly burn. But the following month he got charge again $80 dollars when he was already no longer tanning and have canceled his account. So I came to the tanning place explained this to the lady that was there that day and I canceled my account and kept the second one since he had already been charged for it and we were not about to pay 160 for one month of tanning just for me. We didnt change the name in the account that day because the  card on file is on his name and he is the one paying for it. Well last night I've to call my boyfriend take him out of work for him to come show his I'd and to tell the lady that I wasnt using someone else's membership. He came prove to her it was my account then she proceeded to said my account was canceled. And that I couldn't tan. I got a little upset and told her that's not what we asked and that's not what he said, she proceeded to ignore me and kept talking to my boyfriend shifting her sigh to him when I was addressing her about the situation and asking her questions. My boyfriend had to stop her and said mam she is talking to you!. At this point I was upset. This month I've paid 80 dollars, only to come and tan two times because he had a lost in the family and not wasn't appropriate for me to do stuff like that. Now I'm coming a week before my month and I'm getting treated like this. Again I've a client for almost 5 years we have met and known all of the old managers and girls that would come and work at this location during summer and never ever experienced anything like with this lady. I worked for Scottsdale magazine and we had recommended this chain for tanning in town. I been so happy I live with in walking distance and that I can tan at this place. But to be questioned about my sex, in front of strangers, to be treated so disrespectful and to not be allowed to tan after I have already paid was very rude. I left in disbelief after everything that happened that night read more

Today I came into Celebrity to get a botched spray tan fixed. The place is really clean & the girl that was working, Lauren, was very nice, sympathetic and helpful. I used the mystic tan booth and my results are much better than the tan I received from Sunchain Tanning. It has several standing positions which coats your body nicely. Lauren told me that if my tan came out bad from their place that they'd give me a complimentary tan which I thought was nice! Overall very satisfied with the results I've had instantly. This is my favorite tanning salon in Scottsdale. They have the most top quality beds i've ever used. I now just stick to the Versa Pro spray tan machine for my skin and i'm just as obsessed with this as I used to be with the color the beds gave me. Clean, great hours and reasonable packages. I was shocked to find out how filthy this location is as a premium member I was extremely alarmed when I saw the dirt and filth inside their "Cocoon infrared bed" I did take pictures and I did ask them to let the management know that this was inexcusable to have something so filthy there for the public. Hopefully management will respond and do a double check to make sure their staff is cleaning all the equipment (inside and out) properly - especially with a high risk of viruses out there these days. The complaint is directed more toward their corporate policies than this particular location. It was my first time at a tanning bed in YEARS, but I have a wedding coming up. First the girl charged me for 5 sessions, which is all I needed, but then let me know that it would be cheaper to just pay for a month then cancel it at a later date. I definitely appreciate when people let me know that I can save money, BUT what she did NOT EVER tell me or even mention is that THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS. After several calls and visits, attempting to get my money back, they were only able to credit my account. As I mentioned, I don't go tanning often so I don't need a credit. Basically feel like they tricked me into buying way more than I ever wanted to. It's 2016, why can you not refund a credit card? read more

GREATEST TANNING EXPERIENCE EVER! I stopped by the salon and was instantly amazed by the customer service, prices, and overall ambiance. Upon arrival I was greeted with a "Hello. How are you today?" Much nicer than the usual "last name" other salons say as you walk through the door. I was set up with a membership by the Charlotte who is the manager. Let me the first one to tell you. Her customer service skills are on fleek! Charlotte clearly explained all of the policies , which tend to be a gray area at most salons. All of which were clear and easy to understand (no hidden fees or extra withdrawals) :) I have been tanning here for about a month now and all of the staff is excellent. Especially the associate named Tatum. Anyways, I highly recommend Celebrity Tanning to anyone who is looking to get their bronze on, whether it be in the form of UV rays or spray. read more

I'm over 50 and tanned in MANY salons over the years in Mn and since moving to Phoenix area 10yrs ago. And have to say some of the ladies that work there a great. However my over the last cpl years at this place it is amazing how often you can call and ask a price for something and be told different cost or one person forgets to tell you the full price. I.E. you may call and say what is cost of Spray tan? And they say $25 then when you get in they say oh the cost of color is $5.00 more. Or be paying a mthly fee for spray tan (=$25+5=$30 tot with color for walk in) however on mthly ur allowed 8times and each and we were told we can do a bed tan if we like that is equal to. So my lady goes in and is charged $20 to tan n a lower end bed. One would think we should be able to do equal trade off or pay extra if over the $25-30 cost but not at this place.
