We only stayed a night so we had a place to stay after dinner and a show at the Saenger theater. We enjoyed our evening on the front porch rocking in the rocking chairs with a nice bottle of wine. Before our show we enjoyed listening to Christmas music in the sitting room by the Christmas tree. The only issue is you can't leave a voicemail if you need anything and they do not answer the text they ask you to do. They didn't answer our emails either. We had to go find the innkeeper, open a door that said innkeeper only and knock on another door. We felt bad about that but the spoke alarm in our room kept beeping every 3 minutes. The innkeeper was very sweet and helpful!

Now our front desk working miracle person, Alexia, was the only person in the building, she personally cleaned our room and made us her number 1 priority, like she didn't have anything else going on. The New World Inn has a fantastic location near most things in the Downtown area which has a lot of great spaces and places. The New World Inn was originally built as a box factory. The building was restored and remodeled in 1983 to include banquet and events spaces along with 16 hotel rooms with 8 rooms on the ground floor and 8 rooms on the second level. Due to the history of the building there is only a staircase and no elevator has been added to this property. Renovations to the property continued in 2007 with the addition of the 600 South Italian Eatery & Wine Bar which is currently listed as temporarily closed . In 2008 the New Orleans inspired courtyard was updated to a more functional space for outdoor dining and celebrations. In 2016 Skopelos restaurant was added to the location but sadly that restaurant closed in 2021 after 62 years due to damage from Hurricane Sally and the Pandemic. I will say that the price was a bit high for a Days Inn, but the location being in the downtown Pensacola area I guess justifies the price. I like Wyndham hotels when I travel for business and I had been disappointed with the Wyndham properties in Pensacola. This hotel was a shining star for a Wyndham property in Pensacola. The room was super clean. WiFi worked flawlessly and the television was newer with a decent selection of channels. I ended up forgoing my search and returned to Colorado early. As such I needed a refund for part of my stay. This is a decent size motel with several buildings and lots of moving parts. My exit was quite sudden as I drove back to Colorado in a hurry. The staff was diligent in ensuring my credit card was credited appropriately. The cleaning crew was friendly and kind hearted. At Home suites was in close proximity to my Aunt and the reviews were good, the pictures also looked decent. Check in was easy. AC was blasting in the lobby when I arrived so that was a big plus. I highly recommend amd I mean highly recommend booking a deluxe interior room as opposed to any exterior room. I initially booked the exterior for 4 nights. The room was decent. You could tell the whole place is old and they did "some" renovations. They also have some people there in some extended stay rooms. I saw quite a bit of hanging out in the parking lot right in front of my room. Night 1 I was exhausted from traveling. I took a shower and was knocked out. Night 2, I had some "visitors " and I will leave it at that. I went to the front desk and I have to say they were so nice and accommodating. They immediately set me up in the deluxe interior room which was 100x better. I had absolutely no issues at all in that room for the remainder of my stay. I believe they offer breakfast but I never went down to check. The lobby has a soda machine are and that's where they serve breakfast. Pretty big pool as well but that Florida heat and humidity had me indoors as much as possible. Would I stay here again. Yes interior room only and the price is as. It bad at all. Very friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming...exactly what you hope for after a long day of driving. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Only issue was poor lighting placement but after hours on the road, a hot shower was everything I needed so I wasn't tripping. I didn't hear any noise from other guests, slept well, and was even able to wake up and meditate without interruption. The surrounding area isn't the most scenic but for a road trip stop, this hotel checked all the boxes. I'd absolutely stay here again if I found myself passing through Pensacola.
