It's a little hard to find, as it's not right on Harry Hines, but in a little "ally" way with parking in front of several stores on each side. It's only a few hundred feet north of the Royal Lane intersection. $70 for an iPhone 8 screen repair. Called the store and asked how much it would cost to fix/replace my entire screen. The man said "it would be $109.99 before tax, and it comes with a 30-day warranty", he also gave me the location and information about the store and said "walk-ins are welcome!" I drove down to the store, because it wasn't fart from where I live, and it wasn't very busy (at first). I was greeted, as well as the people who walked in minutes later. The store is a bit overwhelming, because there are a bunch of random things being sold, such as: ties, bow ties, handkerchiefs, rhinestones, cell phones (refurbished), cell phone cases, phone accessories, speakers, shirts, and miscellaneous things. There is also a sitting area where you can wait for your repairs to be fixed. After taking a look at my surroundings, I proceeded to the back of the store to tell the employee my issue. He said that it would be an hour, or less, for my phone screen to be completely fixed. The man told me that my total would be $119.99 after tax, with the 30-day warranty still included, and asked me if I'm okay with the pricing and for my consent to start right away. As I waited in the waiting area, I observed the characters of the employees as they dealt with very angry, obnoxious, and needy customers. Surprisingly, the employees are very patient and helpful. No one raised their voice or got frustrated, just calmly assisted the customers as best as they could with their questions and concerns. The employees were juggling 2-3 customers at one time and also helping with repairs, phone calls, and cashing out customers. One of the best services I've seen and had. One hour later, my phone was completely done. The screen worked perfectly and looked brand new. These guys literally saved me from going to the Sprint store and buying a completely brand new phone. This is the greatest hidden secret for any cell phone owner. I found them because of Yelp reviews, but didn't end up making a visit until a friend personally recommended them. I couldn't be any happier I found them. Today was my second visit and my screen was in pretty bad condition - shattered and the images/graphics were distorted. Since my Verizon upgrade isn't until November and I've used up all my insurance claims, I was REALLY hoping CPR TX could save the day. For $89 I walked out with a brand new screen on my phone and a pleasant customer service experience. I realized that not only is fixing your phone at CPR TX less expensive than the $100 ($150?) insurance claim fee, but it's also SO MUCH more convenient because you get it back within an hour or so (depending on how extensive the damage) and you don't have to reconfigure any settings or re-download whatever got saved onto your icloud -- you still have everything intact and ready to function as soon as your phone is done. I will probably avoid going through insurance in the future for these reasons. Hopefully I won't be back anytime soon, but if I do have to visit, at least I know it'll be a good price for a quality repair. read more
