Me and my mom were greeted by a friendly associate LAINEY SIMONSON!! on Wednesday July 7th. My mom wanted a new iPhone. Lainey was very courteous, helpful and patient with my mom. Who is in her 70s. And this is moms first iPhone!! Lainey spent several hours with my mom showing her how to use the phone. She also gave my mom her private cell phone number. And asked my mom to call her if she had any questions. Certainly LAINEY gave the best customer service I have seen at Cellcom. She deserves appreciation accolades. And a huge raise! read more

My fiancé was in dire need of a new cellphone and we wanted to make the process quick and painless. We were immediately greeted by Lainey at the door and told we would be helped as soon as she was available. We stayed occupied until she came to us to offer assistance. She was personable, approachable, and had the kindest demeanor. We could've talked with her all day as if she was a close friend! She got us situated with our new phone and sent us on our way with her business card for additional assistance. Someone give this woman a bonus or a raise!! She's working her tail off. If you are thinking of switching to cellcom do not. Their data management is terrible, the customer service has been a trainwreck for the last 2 years. Example 1. On our prior service we never ran out of data, with cellcom it's gone in less than 24 hours after bill reset. It's basically not useable except in an emergency. And 90% plus of text messages use data. Anything over 40 characters. Example 2. The coverage is not good. My wife's phone is a paperweight in Milwaukee unless its hooked up to wifi. Mine is sporadic. Newest iPhone and samsung. It barely works un urban areas and the supposed better coverage in rural areas is a myth. Example 3. I went to process an insurance claim and when I went to go to a store to process the claim with paperwork in hand I was thrown out of 2 separate stores 4 hours apart. The first one on Northland in Appleton because they were too busy. The one on Calumet in Appleton because it was more important to close the door 20 minutes before it was supposed to close. I had to call and set an appointment at a different store to get it done the next day. And yesterday, my wife bought a replacement phone. It was not set up properly and they never gave her the box or the charger. And here we sit again at the store wasting our time. She tried to call but the person on the phone could not and did not understand really how to do anything and promised a call in 2 to 3 business days. Recently switched to Cellcom after being with another cell company for twenty years. First off when I was looking at other companies, another company told me I'd have to purchase a new phone. Then quoted me a price that was lower than when I went in to switch. So I didn't. I then stopped at Cellcom and they told me I could port me old smart phone over to them, and that the other company could have done the same (not all companies can depending on the software of the phone). I got better service (phone service and customer service) for less money. When I got my first bill I didn't understand all of the charges so I called into customer service. They graciously explained all of the charges and even credited me back for a charge of going over my data for the first partial month. Even with me not asking for it. Then a little over a month after switching over my iphone began having difficulty taking a charge. I stopped at their repair center and in less than 10 minutes they fixed it and I was on my way. That would have never happened with my old cell company. I'd have had to get a loaner and wait for a couple of weeks till they could look at it. So as you might imagine I highly recommend Cellcom. read more
