She asked me what I had in mind and we sat down and she went over that product with me, never once trying to up sell. I knew about the product and she seemed happy I did my research before coming in. She got me exactly what I wanted and thanked me for my patronage. When I left I felt good but also ashamed that I doubted her integrity when we first staring talking phones. After decades with Spectrum and extortionary costs, along with dismal in town (Appleton) speeds…read more(contrary to what they advertise), we finally switched to TDS. Our monthly cost have gone from $250/ month to $50 a month which is guaranteed for 2 years. We still get all the streaming services as before (using Roku stick for both services.) Best of all our internet speed has gone from 60-75 Mbs to 500 Mbs upload as tested with a speed tester. What's really unbelievable is that we waited so long to do this. And having to going in to the Spectrum store in Appleton (which is mandatory to discontinue the service) we did not complain and were friendly, being happy to be rid of this costly and terrible internet speed service. The agent on the other hand looked like he was a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any second. Even though it was a terrible visit experience, we were just as happy coming out of the store as going in, being relieved at having made this switch.

They "stick it" to loyal customers to offset deals for new subscribers and to counter losses from customers who have walked away in frustration and disgust. When we walked in to cancel our account, the only question asked was whether we had already gone with another provider.
