I wish I could give Cellos2Go more than 5 stars, Ellen the owner is amazing. My daughter has been playing cello for a while and we needed to upgrade her cello. I spent hours researching online, and went to every music store in the city. Cellos2go was our last stop and I wish it had been our first. Ellen is a " cello whisperer". Her wealth of knowledge on cellos is unbelievable. At our initial visit I would say we spent about 2 hours with her, she let my daughter try multiple cellos in our price range. She also let her try different strings and bows to show the difference those changes make. She was super patient and there was 0 pressure to buy. In the end we ended up purchasing an instrument my daughter loves and I don't have to spend anytime second guessing my purchase. I was in the market for a new cello case, having lugged my crazy heavy 15-year old, 17 lb. old-school BAM case around for way too long. There is no accessory too obscure, no detail about a product too small for her to know about it. Personalized customer service is the store's hallmark, and she is particularly good at helping new clients (parents & children) navigate a fairly complicated set of decisions.
