When we told the others what we were looking for they each told us the cookie cutter assembly line way they did things. The owner of this firm, Matt Johnsrud, took the time to understand what we wanted and then bent over backwards to provide exactly that. My spouse described him as like an angel who swooped into a bad situation and handled it is a way that gave us great comfort. He was up front about his prices which were the lowest in town and applied no sales pressure whatsoever but we hired him because of his flexibility and sensitivity. He personally handled everything from pickup at the hospital to drop off at the crematorium. This is the best experience we have ever had with a funeral director. We recommend him unconditionally. Dealing with the death of a parent is hard enough, then add in a world pandemic, and you have total disbelief in what is happening. We were referred to Nimsgern Funeral services by a nurse who was caring for my Mom. Jamie, from the funeral home, came right to our Mom's house And with compassion and patience, walked my sister and I through all that we would need to do to lay our Mom to rest. Though we weren't able to give our Mom the funeral service that we would liked to have given her, because of the pandemic circumstances, Jamie did help us to give our Mom the best care and respect that she deserved. Though we could not have a public funeral for our Mom in their funeral home, we did go there to make the final arrangements for our Mom, and the building and facilities that they offer are very nice. The place was nicely decorated and very clean. A very nice facility to hold a funeral.

Fortunately, we worked with Downs Funeral Home and the staff there helped us so much. They were beyond professional and helpful and they made themselves available day and night if we had questions or concerns. They made an unbearable process much easier. They truly showed us respect and caring. I am not sure how we could have planned the service without their expertise.
