Started working as a driver. NY trainer refused to let me do any work for 2 weeks as I sat there asking to work and he didn't let me ! I asked my supervisor to change my trainer, they did. The trainer I got was good but I had some medical issues which were approved by my supervisor and I had valid doctor notes to excuse me. I was noticing my name wasn't on the schedule and when I didn't show up for a day I wasn't scheduled I got in trouble for not communicating with my supervisor or trainer about it. So then I started to call and text every Day for my schedule instead of relying on the dispatch department to schedule me as I was instructed to do by my supervisor. Then I was told not to text or call anymore and to rely on the schedule. Well to my disappointment I was no longer on the schedule. It's been 2 weeks of radio silence from my supervisor and trainer they refuse to pick up their phones or reply to text messages! I also wanna add that when I initially applied for this position they hired me on the spot and HR contacted me in 1 hour after leaving to drug test and do paperwork then after I completed all that it took over a month and a half with no contact from anyone in fact HR phone number had been disconnected and there was no contact from the " supervisor" no text or calls were returned no matter how many times I called. Then out of the blue one day I get a call saying I start on Monday and I had another job driving charter busses already. So I quit that job to work at cemex and then they did me dirty. They pay really good yes but they treat their new employees like shit the trainers aren't good at what they do and the supervisor and dispatch are all a joke ! I don't get it. Anywho this was the least I could do to get my 2 sence in and make my peace with the way I was treated since nobody from the company officially fired me or let me go and refuse to reply to my calls or text messages. I wish they'd grow a pair and be professional about it but hey it is what it is and now im on the job search again.
