Example 1: Counselor (NPI 1144586678) claims minors (under age 16) can consent to "intercourse" with adults. This is CSA, but the agency seemingly endorses this sentiment. Example 2: Same counselor's solution to self harming, "get a stress ball". Aside from being very bizarre, uneducated and unprofessional, there was an immense amount of blatant lying. The aforementioned counselor also made a habit of showing up significantly late and appeared unkempt. She violated HIPAA regulations and the code of ethics and conduct that govern social workers. With that being said, I would recommend a stress ball opposed to this place, as an inanimate object would be more proficient in comparison, all things being even. The administrative office was also unprofessional and disorganized in their attempts to cover for the failings of the counselor. The agency did not have policy in place for requesting records, amending records, complaints processing and so on. They also did an abrupt discontinuation of services without fulfilling the necessary discharge requirements. It is my understanding that this is the established pattern of conduct for this agency, therefore if you are seeking legitimate mental health services, look elsewhere for providers that are trauma informed.
