The inside of the store was well lit and laid out with plenty of road trip snacks handily available. It's conveniently located along the highway through town so it's worth the stop as gas stations aren't exactly plentiful around here.

Since new owners are now operating this business, it is completely opposite of where it was regarding customer service. Employees are not responsive to questions nor concerns, the facility quality has dropped significantly, window cleaning solution is rarely available at each pump, trash cans are rarely emptied and on two occasions, staff was observed emptying trash cans by gas pumps while smoking a lit cigarette. The later is most concerning. All in all, the owners need to step up regarding training of staff and expectations for quality service.

As I looked around the store, I noticed they had a large variety of snacks and great convenience products for sale, except their craft beer selection, which was average. Having said that - the store had clean but small restrooms, the attached restaurant was packed at lunch time, so I assume it is good, and an ecletic collection of stuff to buy, including a broad selection of Missouri wines and Route 66 souvenirs. Note: Stuckeys has purchased some candy making capacity and is actually making it's own products as opposed to outsourcing the production which it had for several decades.
