I was in the process of hiring a contractor to remodel my home at this time, and he came on Feb. 19th to look around. Given the contractor's reputation, I hired him. Immediate concern was given to all the main level floors, as they proved to be all uneven. He went into the crawl space with a flood light and when he came out related that ALL the joists were rotten and the floor issues were stemming from that ....my house was literally sinking due to no support. Given this terrible report, it would be ludicrous to have D-Bug do anything, I would be literally giving them $13600 to do nothing, because it would all have to be torn out when my contractor and his crew attacked the same problem. I asked my contractor to relay the info to D-Bug. He told D-Bug he would take care of the problems, and that we wouldn't be needing them (they were to start in 3 days!) They said due to the circumstances, they'd issue me a refund check in the full amount. I called D-Bug 3x asking where my check was. First time the ?owner was on the "other line". Second time he was not in the office (didn't he have a cell phone?). Third time he got on the phone and said "all deposits are non-refundable" despite the fact he told my contractor he'd issue me a full refund!! I explained I'm living on Social Security and needed that $1360 badly. So far they have proven to have poor assessment skills of what really needs done and that they are also LIARS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

We experienced high traffic on our small street and needed someone to help directing cars/trucks when no street parking was available. Staff just laughed when we asked for assistance. Many vehicles double parked leaving no space to maneuver. This situation ever resulted in a fender bender. In addition, customers parked too close to resident's property resulting in damage such as trampled plants and broken irrigation systems. The company unplugged some electrical outlets in the garage, incorrectly turning off the homeowner's irrigation system. This was discovered some time after the fact and after many plants were dying. The entire experience lasted well over a week, from prep for sale to after sale large item pick up. I am posting this information to inform local residents of the many things that can go wrong with this type of service. I hope it helps.

Weeks would go by without a callback or a response to our email. We continued to try to contact Chad or Keith for information regarding the $300,000+ house we wanted to build with DB Homes. We had two property owners waiting for our word to sell us their properties. We told them for weeks that we were waiting to hear from DB Homes regarding questions we had about our estimate. We never heard back from Chad or Keith. It is with sincere sorrow and deep disappointment that we have to inform you we are no longer interested in any type of business with DB Homes. VERY professional. DB is the 3rd place we've gone to this year for a price quote on 2 homes…read morew/garages. Everyone wants to order their house asap - but DB knows (through experience) how people can change their mind about what they THINK they want -vs- what they REALLY want in their home. So DB does not rush through the ordering process, which saves a lot of headaches down the road once construction has started. After we meet with them, our price quotes come within a week - then we review the quote and make any necessary changes, then schedule an appointment with them to make those changes (or we can email it to them). Then we get our new quote in a week. (and there's no mistakes - everything we said we wanted was quoted accurately!). The 1st place we went to - they were NOT professional - took forever to get our quotes and when we did there were TONS of mistakes even though I gave them paper copies, photos, and emails of what we needed to order, then it took over a month before I'd hear ANYTHING from them - after 4 months of inaccurate quotes and hassles, we gave up on Hemminger Homes and went to somewhere else. The 2nd place we went to, Mt. View Homes, promised we would have our price quote in a week........and that was 4 weeks ago, and they haven't even bothered trying to contact us at all.......so we contacted DB Homes. DB Homes had me email them our floor plans prior to our 1st appointment (our appointment was the same week we initially called them), and when we met with them for the 1st time, they gave us price quote estimates based on our floor plans that we sent them - VERY IMPRESSIVE. AND, they were extremely understanding and nice to our 4 year old granddaughter who was with us for hours as we went through our options for the homes........Keith even went to the Disney Channel and asked her what she would like to watch. They also treated her to paper/pens, pretzels, cookies, crackers, candy, and even some toys!
