So much history, so much care for them still! We have to protect them at all costs! Wonders of our world I say. This tour from our cruise ship was a 9 hour day but if you're there on your own time and more freely to explore, definitely still take your time and enjoy! But do gotta warn the humidity especially in July when we went, it was atrocious. Pile on the sunblock and cover up still. Bring a towel to wipe the constant drenching sweat off of ya. lol

The walking paths are easy, the grounds are well kept, and there are plenty of viewpoints where you'll stop every few minutes just to take photos. It does get hot and crowded, especially mid-day, but if you go earlier or later it feels much more relaxed and you can really take in how unique the location is compared to other archaeological sites. The beach access below the cliffs is a huge bonus and makes the experience more than just a history stop. Bring water, sunscreen, and patience, but the views alone make it worth it. You will see plenty of iguanas. :)

I'm seven months pregnant and we have an 18 month old and I appreciated how accommodating both Gilmer and Manny were! Gilmer and Manny made sure to capture our experience so we could focus on the moment and sent us all the photos. Gilmer made sure to point out any creatures and give us insight. Manny & crew were able to help us snag 5 mahi mahi and the last one was a massive 60 pound male! Just incredible. On top of that they took us to a local restaurant to cook up our fresh fish. If we're not too tuckered out we may have to book another trip as I know it will be worth while. Great prices for life lasting memories, thanks again guys for being so awesome.

Although we definitely recommend taking a car instead because the road can be quite dangerous and gnarly. This was one of the cheaper admission price cenote's in the area. The whole place is not very big but they do have a platform to jump off of and roped areas to separate the swimmers from the scuba divers. There's covered little patios for you to rest and have a snack. There's also showers for you to rinse off before and after you go into the water. Very quiet and peaceful, not crowded at all on the day we wet. Very nice time.

Did not speak one lick of English which is ok cause I know enough Spanish to get by. They do ask for your blood type which was SO odd. I still don't know why, maybe due to mosquitos? Who knows. There were no other guests when we got there, at least we didn't think there were. We were asked to take a shower as it protects the wildlife in the Cenote. So, we took a quick shower. There is a jump off ramp and a rope for divers to use when getting out of the water. A lot more people come to this Cenote to dive vs just to hang out. We didn't want to dive. I actually didn't even get in the water, cause I stuck my feet in and a million sucker fish started eating at my feet. Like the ones in China that they use for pedicures. I would probably get eaten alive if I went in, so I passed. My friend went in and there were divers below him. That is awkward too! Like are their divers looking all up in your goods?! Cool place to check out and spend like 30 minutes, but that is about all.

For us it was the perfect way to spend our rainy day. Also as note I should mention I am a tourist, but even then I do agree the prices are little high. Let's start off with pricing. Though they don't have a website, they do have a WhatsApp (+52 984 322 2222) that lists all their prices in pesos if you look at their catalog. There are 4 tiers - we chose the most basic tier (paquete basico) which came with a tour guide of the 4 cenotes (two that are open and two that are covered) and life jackets at a cost of 750 pesos. This 750 pesos was suppose to also include kayak rental but either due to rainy season we didn't get to do that as went to the kayak, there was no one manning it. Of note you do absolutely need the tour if you want to do the 2 covered cenotes, as you can't enter the covered cenotes without them. There was no option to just enter the park and explore the cenotes on your own. Our guide was bilingual and did both the tour in Spanish and in English. First up was the covered cenote which was awesome as you could see all the stalactites hanging from the cave. It was super fun to float in between them - wouldn't recommend if you're claustrophobic. The next cenotes were the open cenotes - Cenote Dorca and Cenote tres Zapatos which is like a lazy river that funnels into a bigger cenote. The last cenote Cenote Wisho was so cool because you could see fossils/sea shells from when it used to be a reef and there are some points the water gets to 50 feet deep. Again you don't have to be the strongest swimmer because you have life jackets that help you bob up and down the cenotes. The tour took about an hour and a half and after they let you go and swim only at the open cenotes and hang out if you want, but you do have to return the life jacket. We stayed at Zamas hotel and did need a taxi to and from the hotel which cost 1600 pesos round trip (I know STEEP, the taxi prices in Tulum are ridiculous). But if you have a scooter or car there is free parking there. Another cost to factor it besides the ticket (at minimum 750 pesos) we also had to rent lockers as for the tour the only thing you could bring along with is your sandals and there isn't many places to put down your stuff. The locker was 100 pesos - 4 of us managed to fit our towels/backpack/water bottle into one locker to try to save money. Some tips! 1. Get there early (like 9-10 am) if you want the cenotes to yourself and for the least amount of people on the required guided tour. We had only about 10 people on our tour and it was really nice especially in covered cenote as you felt like you'd had it all to yourself. When we finished up at 12:30 PM, it definitely looked like a zoo with way more people. 2. Bring waterproof cover for your phone! There are plenty of opportunities to take pictures of all cenotes so don't listen if they say you can't bring your phone you totally can. Just know it will absolutely get wet so bring waterproof phone. 3. Wear sandals that you can easily slip on/off or water shoes. My friend preferred the water shoes so he didn't have to take them on and off in between the cenotes. 4. Bring CASH as everything (tickets, lockers, guide tips) was paid for in CASH and not by card. So bring CASH 5. You don't need to be the strongest swimmer, but would recommend to fully enjoy the cenotes you should know how to swim/tread water as a lot of the cenotes had many deep parts. If you only do the tour you're fine because you can just float with life jacket, but if you go back on your own you don't have the life jacket and need to be able to swim. 6. Remember no sunscreen/bug spray! Keep the cenote water clean and pristine and they do make you shower off before entering the cenotes. Do be prepared for bug bites as you travel to get to the cenotes as you go through the jungle. 7. Plan to be there for at least 3-4 hours to fully enjoy it.

He shared the rules and information about each location, pointed out some facts and even threw some jokes in here and there. He was very personable! The group was decent size but not so large that it took away from the experience. All of the sites were pretty cool, but the surface Cenote was probably the most fun because it had 4 different platforms of different heights to jump of off.. the "lazy" river wasn't so lazy lol it required effort the whole time. One thing I suggest is to not bring anything you don't feel up to carrying cause there are times when you have to hold things like sandals, glasses and phones. My phone is water resistant so no big deal, but holding sandals swimming is not really convenient. I'm not sure the cost of everything off hand, but it was worth whatever it cost in my opinion.

Laguna Kaan Luum is a great spot to check out while visiting Tulum. It's a lake with typically…read moreturquoise waters. It has a cenote in the middle, but only scubadivers are allowed to go. This is my second visit here and although it was still beautiful, the water wasn't as turquoise and breathtaking as I remember it being the first time I visited. After conducting some research, I do believe that has to do with the time of year of the visits. Regardless, it's still very enjoyable and worth checking out. It's basically a very calm lake. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and completely care free no worries vibe. It's the spot to definitely unplug and take in natures pure beauty right in front of your eyes. In the water are hammocks for swinging. An area for overlook. A few huge docks. There's also a few swings in the water. A bar area to purchase beverages and food items. Note, it does cost to get in. I believe it was $18.00 US dollars. You are not allowed to bring in sunscreen, you leave it at the door, and can take it on your way out. You're required to take a shower upon entering. Staff were friendly and explained everything well even with the bit of language barrier. My friend and I enjoyed our time for about two hours and if I come back in February/March 2026, I'd definitely come back for another visit.

The Laguna is only a few minutes of walking away from the parking lot. There is a nice observation tower to look at the shift between shallow and deep water. Regular swimmers are limited to the shallow area on the outskirts of the Laguna (which is very expansive) while divers with equipment are allowed to go to the deep center. In the shallow areas are various swings, hammocks, photo opportunities, and even volleyball nets (bring your own ball). We spent a few hours relaxing in the water and soaking up the sun. The ticket is 300 pesos per person and parking is free (need a small tip).
