Everyone that we encountered, reception, the nurse, and doctor, were extremely kind and patient. We…read morewere seen promptly (in and out in less than 1hour). They took care of all of my husband's needs, properly diagnosing him and discussing medications as well as next steps. Hopefully we don't need to return, but if we do, this is the place to go.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE. They don't know how to handle pediatrics and instead of telling you…read morethis, they'll send your child home, still hurt with no diagnosis. Zero stars, if I could! My toddler saw an older female doctor (calling her Dr. B) due to a sudden and painful elbow injury where every single movement or touch to that arm hurts around mid afternoon. Dr. B. spent less than 5 minutes asking questions and 'testing' my daughters hand strength and then requested an x-ray. After the x-ray, she came back and stated it was negative of a break. Without diagnosing anything, she sends us home with paperwork stating all she needs is pain meds and ice. We leave with my daughter still in constant radiating pain and no diagnosis. Cut to 11PM at night when I call our doctor's nurse line and explain the issue. The nurse says with 100% certainty that my daughter has nursemaids elbow, a COMMON ELBOW INJURY with toddlers and that she needs to go to an immediate care or ER. I explain I went to NW Huntley already and the nurse is appalled that they didn't know what was wrong and pop the ligament causing my daughter all the pain back into place. Being late, we head to MercyHealth to see their ER doctor, who also, within less than 5 minutes with no mention of nursemaids elbow from me, diagnoses it as such, asks for her elbow and pops it back into place. My daughter was in pain 6+ more hours than she should have been because Dr. B didn't listen or even try to diagnose my daughter past her elbow not being fractured. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE. Or yourself, for that matter.

I came in to get tested for a flu and they asked if I wanted some ibuprofen. I said sure and didn't think anything of it. Later I was billed $50 for "medication". I contested it, but they said that was part of my consent to be seen. I don't necessarily blame the staff, but I do question everything that is offered now. Glass of water? How much? Use the bathroom? How much? Are the masks complementary? Do I have to pay for the paper sheet that I sat on in the exam room? If it's not an emergency, I'd recommend you come here. You will be treated nicely and get into a room quickly, but after the initial vitals, prepare to wait. And buyer beware, make sure you don't accept any treatment without asking the cost. That said the quality of care was decent. The staff here are knowledgeable and friendly.

After my appointment her care team contacted me after the appointment. Medication wise, she's not registered so I had hawk them down again to get another nurse to send the medication, (she's aware of the issue as well). My final straw was I inbox them about medication needed and never got a respond and it's been over four days now. So, I switch providers that can communicate better.

The doctor made this alarming comment without compassion or confirmation, and without discussing the actual test results. This caused my mother unnecessary emotional stress and left us without help for the symptoms she came in for. A DO trained in emergency medicine should not be making a cancer diagnosis without proper testing or referral. Extremely disappointed in the handling of her care.

The staff at Huntley hospital all around were not friendly and nor were they attentive. Their male nurse Jose should look into a different profession he has absolutely no bedside manner what so ever! I was brought in by ambulance and I had no way home and they kept telling me that they would provide a ride and then they wait till the last minute to tell me they were not going to provide me for a ride and it's bad enough I was in the ER for 5 hours but then to be let down like that was very upsetting. I do not recommend this hospital whatsoever as I have been here numerous times and every single time has been something very displeasing.
