This was one of the only options and they were willing to accommodate EVERYTHING. Chris and Mary were our photographers as well. Sweetest couple ever!! They made our wedding day spectacular despite all the negativity going on in this world. I would recommend them 100X over and over again and this location!

The facility…read moreitself was stunningly beautiful, but what really makes this place amazing was Mary and her unwavering support. I could visibly see my bride and mothers shoulders relax after meeting Mary for the first time, a few weeks before the wedding. Mary had all sorts of supplies we could use (all for free) and really knew her stuff. During our rehearsal, Mary instructed everyone to come to her on the day of the wedding. Not me (the groom), not my mother, not the bride, but her. She played the QB and handled everything. Guys, and girls, in a world where couples getting married are nickled and dimed for every little thing, this place is the opposite. Never once did Mary say something like "Sure, we can do that for an extra fee". Everything was "Oh sure, here's what I have, what do you think?" You can tell both Chris and Mary really enjoy their work. I have nothing but glowing comments to say about them and their facility. I would recommend them a hundred times over if I could. Go with them and their facility, you won't regret it.

The venue is lovely, and the big attraction for us was the freedom we had to bring in our own caterer, design the ceremony in our own style, and make the whole day feel like us! We couldn't believe how so many venues nickel and dime you for every little thing, and force you to use their list of pricy vendors. District 5 Schoolhouse gives you the freedom to do your own thing, which is certainly helpful when working with a budget. But they can definitely provide guidance and advice for first time wedding planners like us too - Sarah helped us figure some things out we hadn't even thought of. Another huge plus is their decor closet - table runners and signs and vases and stuff like that you're allowed to use that can save you hundreds of dollars! All I can say is that this beautiful location is a great value run by kind and thoughtful people who will work with you to have an event that fits your budget and needs. Highly recommended!

She was so easy to work with and made the whole process smooth. The chalkboards were so fun to decorate and really added to our decorations. The space was well cared for and maintained. The bell tower was a great spot to take pictures, but brace yourself for a climb! We especially appreciated the Pay it Forward decoration closet. There were so many decoration options and themes to choose from! It was a real help for us to have on hand so we could limit how many decorations we purchased/rented. We loved getting married here and would recommend it to anyone!

I recently attended a beautiful wedding and reception at Point of Grace Wedding Chapel & Banquet…read moreFacility. I have to say that it was one of the most darling chapels that I've seen. Carol Rasch did a fantastic job of arranging things from the detailed ceremony and fine linens, down to the great selection of music and well appointed decor. She evidently has many years of experience in fine dining and event planning, and it show's! Well done Carol. Your church is the perfect venue.

So, my mothers wedding was today and I just got back from the reception and before that we were at…read morethis chapel for the ceremony. The woman that owned the chapel which of whom goes by the name of Carol Rash. The wedding started at 4 pm but my mom (the bride) was still getting ready, no big deal right? Well Carol (already upset at some of us for arriving a little late before the wedding was to begin) decided that now was the best time to concern the bride with the money she was to be paid for having the chapel being rented out. My mother obliged to write the check after she gets her dress on. Carol, dissatisfied, pressured the bride to write her the check right then and there and so my mother did. After that, Carol demanded my mother to write down her full name, and my mother did as she asked. A few minutes later, Carol came back to the bride demanding her pay to be in cash. This created a problem because obviously none of us have brought 500 dollars in cash with us to a wedding. So this caused the groom to rush to the ATM and withdraw 500 dollars. Once the money was brought to Carol, she went on as if nothing happened and let the wedding commence. A slight detail was left out of this story as well. When my Aunt arrived late Carol accused her of "not caring for the wedding at all" while having her finger in my Aunts face. This is not the whole story but I just hope to not bore who ever is reading this, but I highly advise to not rent out this chapel from a lady by the name of Carol Rash, the lady was very disrespectful and made my mother (the bride) cry at her own wedding. This did not ruin the day but did indeed make it stressful on our conjoining families. Thank you for taking your time in reading this review.

Just spent 4 nights and 5 days here for a golf stay and play with almost 30 guys. We stayed in…read moretheir onsite villas and those were pretty great. Large, fit four persons per, with your own bed, own bathroom per bedroom, full kitchen and even a fireplace and deck. Very comfortable lodgings. My only hang up I experienced was some missing items and cleanliness. The first night I found what looked like blood on two of the four pillowcases of my provided pillows. I quickly tossed those outside and they were replaced by the cleaning girls the next day with apologies. I did try to reach someone at night but this place has NO ONE on staff after 10 or 11 so if you need something, you're on your own. We also didn't have any facial tissues and only 1.5 rolls of TP but that was remedied the next day. The showers aren't anything special; heads are very low and water is sparse but it gets the job done. The entryway to "check in" is their golf cart barn, which is weird. No real front desk. We had to walk into the bowling alley/ bar to get our keys, which were electronic. Bowling alley is nice! Good bar, good drink selection, private event room towards the back (which we had booked each night for meeting and food). Even bowled two nights of our stay which was fun. Now the best parts of this place are the employees; they're simply wonderful people. They make this place. Nicole, Ali, Olivia, & all the servers and desk peeps are awesome. And the food here is pretty effing good! Large portions of steak and chicken parm; just impressive kitchen they have here. Very happy with the food options. The worst part about this place is working with the owner. She is so scatter- brained and unhelpful. Do not deal with her if you can. 1. She threatened to release my tee times unless I paid at least half of the total bill of my group within a day IN ADVANCE of our arrival. 2. She wanted me to pick everyone's dinner for the first night by noon; she PDF'd me a menu to my email at 11:52, expecting me to get everyone's choices by then... 3. Supposed to have shuttles to THEIR courses; they didn't and couldn't get one so she and her husband took their personal vehicles and picked up a few of our guys. 4. Supposed to have shotgun starts on all THEIR courses. 1 out of 3 rounds we did. 5. Never booked our tee times when I signed our agreement back in DECEMBER; it took them 7 months to start discussing tee times and I had to personally call another golf club's owner to get us back on their tee sheet. 6. She is not good at working/ dealing with people. She talks over you in a rude, condescending manner. 7. She was onsite for 1 hour during our stay, when she had to make up for the shuttle debacle (of which she told her workers that I was supposed to set up). Now the golf here and at their other course, the Pines. Its not resort golfing, its not even county course golfing. Its rough around the edges. I will say the Pines course has a GREAT bar and facilities but the rest is very old maybe? The courses themselves are nothing to brag about. If I had to guess normal tee time costs during weekend rounds, I wouldn't pay more than maybe $30 a round at either one. Thats really what those courses are worth at best, to play, paying straight up. I would stay here again, but I'd limit my golf at their courses and play the other courses around town that we did enjoy. The villas, food, and employees were great. The owner sucks but limited interactions with her and you forget she exists.
