I had the fish tacos for lunch. They were great. Had a little spice to them, making them even better

A cool historical hotel famous for their St Patrick's Day celebration has always been knows for good food and Martinis. I had the famous double stack Ruben and it was great. The onion rings were a little too thick for me since e the onion was still a little crunchy but the batter was awesome. The bartender was great, next time we're back we'll have to try a Martini. My girlfriend enjoyed her Greek Salad. The Spinach and Artichoke dip was good also.

Excellent service provided last evening by Aimee the veteran and Tina her trainee... LOL The three of us enjoyed our food ... We tried the mac and cheese , pork chops, and shrimp dinners. Only thing stopping the meal from being 5 stars was the bean soup which was bland and the spicy black beans were not that.... We would visit again another time.

Looks like a hotel in time. The rooms are set back too the air conditioner was so loud made it hard to sleep. The walls are thin also. The breakfast and restaurant are amazing though wonderful service with good selection of food. I would recommend the sausage and eggs are amazing. Also the coffee is top notch. The service is great and the front desk is very helpful. I would suggest taking a walk around a beautiful small town while visiting.

The restaurant was 1 star, but the hotel was five stars. We first went to to the restaurant and were met with a very angry waiter. Everything we did was met with glares and rude remarks. The waters were slammed down and the food was subpar. I got some very soupy Mac and cheese and my friend got some chicken tenders. The food was fine, but there were onions in the Mac and cheese, strange! The service was awful at tue restaurant, but when we asked to see the hotel, the staff was very friendly. We passed to workers, Terry and Hudson in the hall. They were the nicest people, and made the whole trip worthwhile. The hotel is a very interesting design, please ask for a tour if you decide to come

So, before you look at all those stars and go crazy on me...read! I will say first that we spent an entire week here...slept, ate, meetings...I felt like this was my new home! The best thing this place has going for it is a friendly staff and atmosphere an awesome salad bar, endless popcorn in the bar, oh and a fireplace in my room! The hotel is a bit older and conservative...Like the old Holiday Inn Holidomes that may still exist...chlorine heaven I like to say...the rooms were boring, the beds were bleh and the color scheme was from sometime in the early 80's I think...mauve and powder blue and green...ugh! The restaurant serves great food, lots of home cooking and the banquet staff was on it all week for us! I would have to say, that even tho I am partial to Conrad and Co, I would stay here again!

Lamb Stew with in house Homemade Bread bowl with locally raised Lamb

I am leaving a 5* Review because the Chef here put some thought and creativity into creating this menu. the food was Excellent!!!!! I almost didn't come here based on the low reviews and also the 3.5 stars. However, upon further inspection of the online Menu it was worth a visit because I was staying overnight through Father's Day and my husband wanted a brunch Buffett. I must admit I was very disappointed that they do not do a Father's Day Prime Rib Buffett as they do for Mother's Day. Oddly enough Nobody does within a 50 mile radius‍ so, I will not fault them for that. My husband and I travel quite frequently and search for Restaurants with both scratch kitchen items & unique items that we would normally not find at our local places. We chose the Lamb Stew because the Lamb is locally sourced and it's not something we've seen on a menu previously. The bread bowl was an in house made Irish soda bread and was fabulous. We also chose the Greek salad and added on the homemade Gyro meat with homemade Greek dressing. The Gyro meat was Amazing!!! I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by both meals. Furthermore, our experience was Excellent right down to the service and the Freshly Brewed ice tea and if you're ever in the area I highly recommend stopping in and give them a try. For the unique items on the menu.

Canadian Red Trout and eggs for breakfast.

I think the best value is with their jacuzzi rooms, which aren't much more expensive than standard rooms.

I certainly never would have found it if it weren't for Yelp, as it's kind of wedged in between 2 other buildings. I walked in and was greeted immediately. It seems to be another place that's popular with locals. The server was very good, and paid attention but didn't hover. I ordered that pulled pork tacos. It was a very odd combination of things: pulled pork inside soft tortillas with onion rings, and a few tortilla chips with refried beans and cheese on the side. But somehow, it managed to satisfy a bunch of cravings all at once! And while it didn't look like a huge portion, I could only eat half of it. I brought the other half home for another day. There were lots of interesting and appealing items on the menu. Do yourself a favor and stop by when you're in town.

Like what! I'll start by two weeks ago we ordered two plain cheeseburgers, one fry and it came to $30!!!! I was appalled. I was charged .75 each box for take out as well! Today we needed lunch as we had a really long night and just didn't want to bother, so we decided to go to lake side bar and grill try it again, we each had two bloody Mary's , he ordered the angry burger with fry's and I got the cod dinner to go. Waitress stated rolls did not come with the dinner so I asked could I please get two added I will pay for them she stated yes. Clearly stated yes! While we waited for our food we ordered drinks . The first bloody mayrs were amazing , had the olive , 2 pickle slices a lime and cucumber. Three tables were served in the time we waited for our food and two came in after us! So we ordered another drink, this time no veggies in it just refilled plain. Ok no biggie. Food came we got our bill and it was 67. And some change!!!! Like WTF! So we looked at the receipt we were charged both drinks PLUS each veggie ! Like who does that! And we didn't even get any veggies in our second drinks!!!!! We left I looked at our food and my rolls were missing and we had barely any fry's. I went back asked and she said no we don't even have rolls, I stated mam you clearly told me I could order them separate! I said as well we got barely any fry's. She acted like it was an inconvenience to her! Then while I waited she continued to talk about my complaint to I am assuming her husband. So far after just moving here and being a big food critic for upscale companies I would think a small town and they would treat people not only better , but make sure they are taken care of. Needless to say the fry's we got are way under cooked , burger is way burnt , and my fish is as well. A total waste of $70! We should have just went to Arby's! I will say we have had excellent customer service with only 1 waitress there she is the shorter dark haired lady. She has always been kind. But after two bad experiences I would not recommend this place for food or drinks.

A pretty good overall experience, perhaps a few things could be improved for next time…read more I was pleased with the quality of our appetizer, as well as the creativity. We went with a fried goat chase appetizer, which I've never had before, and never even seen on another menu before. The cook clearly enjoys using balsamic glaze as this was used on both the appetizer and later on my entrée as well. Balsamic glaze is certainly delicious, but I'm not sure if it goes well on quite as many things as the cook seems to think it does. My entrée was a dish of mushroom ravioli prepared in a purée made with green peas. I noted that the chef used a variety of spices in preparing the purée, to very good effect. My wife ordered the New York strip, and what was brought out looked very good. We both had cocktails, and in both cases the cocktails or well-made. I ordered a Mojito type drink made with tequila. My wife ordered a strawberry Mamosa. I noted the care that was taken in preparing both drinks which tells me there's a professional bartender on staff. About the only thing that needs to be improved is the service. We waited just a bit too long for certain aspects of the meal in a restaurant that was nearly empty. The server was certainly polite and well mannered, but I think he was the only one working that evening. Perhaps on weekends they're better staffed?
