But all the staffs in La Petite makes you feel like they are part of your family. My daughter has been going there since pre-K. They have helped her so much in learning different things and boosting her confident level. Soon as you walk in, most of the time, you are greeted by Ms. Carrie or Ms. Phyllis. They are so welcoming and will make you feel at ease dropping your child off. They are willing to help in anyway. Now my daughter is a little older, she only goes for the summer program, and she loves it! Definitely would recommend this Daycare to anyone.

It's not inexpensive; in fact, it's about as pricey as it gets, but as expectant parents who have done their homework know, there's not a wide margin from school to school, and the several that we explored before choosing Primrose that were substantially less expensive...well I wouldn't step foot back in those schools. The kind of relationships that my children have built with ALL of their teachers trough the several classrooms they have been in is on par with the kind of relationship they have with their grandparents and aunts and uncles. The primrose staff is family to my children. Several teachers that ended up leaving primrose still keep contact with me on Facebook, and send messages of well wishes and asking how the girls are doing. Both of my girls are potty trained, know more sign language than I can keep up with, and are creatively and socially engaged beyond the level of which I could hope them to be in most any other circumstance. The moral of the story - if you're looking for an environment that fosters loving friendship, family values, and education foremost, and you hope to have your children more developmentally advanced than their stay-at-home counterparts...if you want to leave your daycare every morning at drop off knowing that they're in the hands of people you love and trust, the Mill Run Primrose should be your first option. Even after divorce and a tighter budget, I've never considered an alternative option. Do yourself a favor and go tour with Tara, Liz, and Katie and meet the teachers my children consider family.

I have seen the managers getting after the teachers for doing their job. There was a teacher today that I saw working hard and got yelled at for not being with her class even though she was. They take out their stress on teachers and I hate seeing it as a former teacher myself, especially after seeing it happen almost daily! No wonder they are starting to have so many teachers leave!! We love my son's teacher but are tempted to leave after seeing how they treat others. I usually see it in the evening with one of the staff that is new to management when it comes to the yelling at multiple teachers. The only reason I am staying at this point is because we paid for summer camp and my son loves his B group teachers. The only way I will be staying past summer is if the management starts treating their staff like people and caring for them instead of yelling at them for going the extra mile and helping their peers out, which I have noticed quite a bit. On top of it all, the place is messy! I have seen vents full of dust, teachers sweeping but the floors looking like they need mopped for once, and others just pushing through their day without cleaning up the food off the floor. Gross! I know I may not have the same experience as everyone else, however I know my experience needed to be placed so others know what they are walking into. A simple Google search of 'Dublin Learning Academy ABC News' will reveal another instance of the management's incompetence as well. Our 3-year-old attended this daycare for 6 months with the intention of staying until kindergarten. However, due to the toll it took on our mental well-being, we had to switch. Initially, we were pleased with the teacher in the potty-training room. However, towards the end of our child's time there, the daycare changed their potty-training expectations without informing us. One day, our child came home with an unexpected accident and the director informed us about our child would be moved to a different classroom with younger children without any prior notice. Despite our attempts to communicate with the director and owner via email and phone, our requests for feedback on establishing clear expectations for our child's transition were met with radio silence. It became evident that they had little concern for the well-being of our child. We shared our communication with friends and family, who were appalled that such words could come from a childcare provider. It was an absolute nightmare. In short, the management team at this center is unprofessional, lacking in communication skills, and fails to prioritize the needs of the children in their care. Don't trust the director's words during the tour; they won't address real issues affecting your child and will make decisions without considering your child's best interests or informing the parents beforehand.

We got pictures through Tadpoles every day and he looked like he was enjoying himself. The director was very kind and accommodating for a first time mom. We decided to switch care centers for a few reasons: The deposit was pretty hefty, and the tuition for the infant room was $1400/ month. I personally couldn't afford that much, and was able to find another facility down the street they was less, for the same level of care. One thing I have to say is that my son got very sick while there, in just one month. I don't believe it had anything to do with the caregivers not trying their best to sanitize- I believe they did. However, if kids contract a disease like HFM and have to be out for a whole week, there is NO tuition relief. I paid full tuition just to send him for 5 total days in a whole month. ( he was that sick!) If there is a diagnosed illness going around the room, the only way that I was notified was with a tiny 8/10in printed piece of paper on the door of the room. If I would have known there was "hand foot and mouth"in the room, I wouldn't have sent him for a few days. However, since they don't immediately notify parents with a message, and I live 30 mins away, there's nothing I could do. I had to drop him off in the infected room, and of course he got sick. (And I also caught HFM and a flu bug in two weeks time) my whole family was ill. Overall, DLA met my expectations, but if my son is going to be THAT sick all the time from daycare, I can't afford to pay full tuition if he's out for weeks at a time. If there was some sort of policy where there was tuition relief for major illness, I would reconsider. Also, I think it's a parents' right to know immediately with a phone call or message if there is a contagious illness in the room BEFORE drop off. (Not just a note on the door) This is why we ultimately made the choice to move.
