Make sure everyone pulls their ball once they make it in the hole... My ball hopped back out numerous times when someone's was in the hole. Had a wonderful afternoon at Moose Mountain Adventure Golf. What an incredibly fun 18 holes of mini golf. The theme for the course is logging, mountains, Paul Bunyan, esque. They provide the clubs abc you pick your ball. They even provide a pencil and scorecard us you're competitive. The cool part...I was able to use my MOA app points and play mini golf for FREE (for me + 2 family members)! We saved $45! All we did was upload receipts to the MOA app which accrued points to redeem. This was the first time we redeemed points and it was well worth it. The course was fun but backed up at certain holes. We started play around 2:30pm. They also have great views of the Nickelodeon Universe. (Amusement park) definitely recommend this on a cold day in the twin cities! read more

Moose Mountain Adventure Golf is a miniature golf course on the third floor of the Mall of America. I wasn't planning on going here but when I saw it, it looked like a fun thing to do while my husband and I were in the mall. We were able to get in without a reservation. The course itself is entertaining and since it's at the to of the mall it gives you a great view of the entire center of the mall. Highlights were the challenging obstacles, big foot at hole 17, great views of the theme park in the center of the mall, and overall great theming throughout. Opportunities: some of the greens where in tired, old condition with puckering due to wear and tear on a handful of courses. This is 18 holes and they prefer to keep it to groups of 4 or less to keep the game going. Larger groups can play though. For about 20 years I was walking past Moose Mountain looking at it from the outside thinking it looked pretty lame, and thinking how could you ever afford to build a decent Mini-Golf at a place that is literally the most valuable piece of real-estate in the entire Twin Cities area. Well finally I was forced to go there because I promised my 9 year old grandson that I was going to take him Mini-Golfing and danged if the indoor course we went to was closed because it was rented out for an event. Well I was shocked! Ok, first by the high price, but later to find that it was really an interesting, well designed course with each hole having unique challenges! It is NOT a course designed for small kids, I'm sure most of you know what I mean. one where you hit a ball, it goes down to the hole, and you tap it in for a 2. It is Challenging! You have to examine every hole. There are usually multiple ways to play each hole, with each way having advantages and disadvantages. Almost like a real golf course where you have to decide if you want to blast the ball 250 yards over a lake, or hit a safer shot to go around it, but costing you a shot. I do think that there should be an age limit for playing this course. If you take your 4 year old thinking it is a Put-Put course YOU WILL CAUSE SEVERE BACKUPS. I would say 7 or 8 years should be the minimum age, maybe older if your kid is only used to playing put-put. If you get on the course and find that your 10 year old isn't ready for such a challenging course, you should either leave, play partners with a proficient person as a partner, or at a minimum have the decency to allow groups behind you to play through at EVERY HOLE. I can see how a single group of people not up to the challenge could add an extra hour to the play time, and there is no way for groups behind them to skip a hole to get past them, making it an awful experience for everyone behind them. I have seen a number of complaints about the staff. The staff told us about the backup at the first hole. They said a 25 minute wait. They were wrong, more like a 10 minute wait. 25 minute would have been a backup past the registers that a person could clearly have seen prior to buying a ticket. Other than that wait there was a backup on one hole that took about 10 minutes, and we sailed after we got past that one hole. Interaction with the staff is so minimal, taking about 3 minutes at the most that it is hard to complain. Yeah, they didn't force feed us a scorecard that was sitting out there to grab, but the Lame 1st hole's end is 20 feet from the cards and pencils.... Just a good design. Also, don't go with six people and jam up the course. Split the group. That is just common sense for anyone who knows golf etiquette. read more

It's not inexpensive but at $10-14pp, it's one of the cheaper activities at MOA. No way can kids make these shots but neither can adults. It's a game of chance, but an excellent way to burn time and energy. read more

The Mall of America can be a little overwhelming - you have floors and floors of stores, people everywhere, and the noise from the park can echo. The mini-golf is a little oasis of quiet, although maybe I was concentrating so hard I blocked everything out. Mostly the holes rely on bank shots or a couple of strategically placed obstacles to try to increase the number strokes taken. You can have a silly time as I did recently playing with my son and daughter or take things a bit more seriously as we tend to when it's just me and my son. It can get pretty busy at times. I haven't had this much fun in a while! I forgot how fun mini golf was, it's been years! This has reignited my love again for this activity. The 18 course was enjoyable. It takes a good 45-60 minute to play, depending on how busy it is. There was a family in front of us so it took more time but we didn't mind it. Some of the courses were tough but pure fun. For $11-12 a person, it's a great activity for a date or just family fun. I'll do this again! read more

My feelings about this mini golf attraction are extremely mixed. First of all the course was very nice and many of the holes were very creative and fun. It was the perfect length and led to a good amount of competitiveness and light spirited fun. Now for the negative. Firstly the Workers were utterly a turn off. They seemed very unhappy and when I walked to the front desk she just looked and me and didn't even say a word. After asking to golf she told me the price very quietly and I couldn't hear, and then when I asked for a repetition she seemed annoyed. The next awful thing was that hole two was broken and would eat your golf ball. The main issue with this was that the workers told no one. Every person would hit their ball in the contraption and lose it, they would have to go back to get a new ball and then would be told hole two was broken. This could have been such an easy fix but the workers were too lazy and hostile to make that the case. Again, it was not all negative and I was still able to enjoy my round of mini golf!! Nice staff & well maintained course. Nice location on the mall too; overlooking Nickelodeon Uverse park & near the food court. My son & I went on a Tues in the summer so we had zero wait time. The course itself is cute & the obstacles are okay but the holes are slightly raised so i had a lot of near hole-in-ones but my ball dragged the edge of the cup. Also, hole #2 got 3 balls stuck! So instead of taking it too seriously (which we tend to get competitive), we acted silly & didn't keep score. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars, by far the worst experience of my life. How can this place even consider itself a put-put course. The holes were not unique or rare enough for my taste. Screaming kids everywhere and single moms jamming out to Brittney Spears on the shitty intercom system. However, despite having PTSD from this joke of a business, I did win another free put-put round (which I will be using as fuel for a bonfire). This place is the perfect example of a low life tourist trap. Moose Mountain Adventure Golf provides a great indoor activity for people in the Twin Cities looking for to escape the cold weather, rain, or April blizzards. Ive putt-putted here on a few occasions--it's fun when coupled with a day of shopping or excursion to Nick Universe/Sealife Aquarium. It is located inside the Mall of America on the third floor, which makes it easily accessible from the Nordstrom store (Id recommend parking on the cactus level, and walking through the store--walk towards the food court). As most of us know, parking at the MOA can be a nightmare during busy times, but on weekdays, there really isnt too much of an issue. The last time I golfed, it was on a Thursday, and while there were groups behind and in front of us, we had no issues with slow play or people rushing us. Id recommend going on a weekday, particularly at night, to avoid large groups of unruly and impatient children. Mini-golf is never fun when you have to wait a half hour at each hole or you feel pressured by people behind you. They are open until 9:30, so take advantage of the late hours. The holes are fairly unique, although they dont have anything terribly memorable like a giant windmill or polar bear dong a handstand. Even the straight-forward holes have their own unique challenges though. The "grass" is well taken care of, and the equipment is in good shape. If I were to have one complaint, it would be the cost involved. Compared to other mini-golf establishments, it's more pricey. It's around $9.50 per person once tax is calculated. However, there is a coupon (good on weekdays) in the Entertainment book. With as many frequent trips our family has taken to the Mall of America, we were slowly making our way through every family-friendly escapade possible. Moose Mountain, to be fair, was never anybody's first choice. That being said, it was not nearly as disappointing as one may think! First and foremost, it was free! Now, this is was probably against their guidelines, but the front desk ladies were clearly frustrated. They had two large parties overwhelming the tiny mini-golf course. In the frustration, they gave my wife, my daughter, and me free access to the course. Additionally, they told us to "go ahead skip holes 1 & 2." (Because of the large group taking up the spaces there. The course itself was nothing spectacular, but for a seven year-old it was fun. She had a good time, and that's what is most important. Due to it's confine spaces; it did feel as though we were constantly rushed. It was a pretty busy day there apparently and the holes are quick to get through. So if you, let's say, have a seven year-old who's never played golf in her life... It can be a struggle for her to feel comfortable because everyone is watching and waiting for her to finish it. We were lucky because, with the exception of few, most were very kind and understanding. At the end, we finished up smoothly and were on our way. I would say steer away from specialty packages... They probably aren't worth it. The price for a single game is all you need. We walked the course real quick and figured out that it was going to be miserable so went back to ask for a refund. There is not a lot of room between holes and everyone is right on top of each other and playing around on the holes and getting in the way. If you're like me and take your miniature golf overly seriously, hear me out. Moose Mountain disguises a fairly boring course with mountainous and rugged rock props. The actual holes, themselves, usually just involve one or zero bank shots and aren't very interesting. A few holes will provide the putter with a few alternate routes to the hole, when you could simply attempt one long putt directly from the "tee box" because there's a clear shot to the hole. It's gimmicky, but not in an interesting way. I like clown mouths and windmills and Abraham Lincoln's legs (Simpsons reference) as much anyone else on a mini golf course, but there's nothing like that here. The other annoying thing is on several holes, there are no bricks to keep the greens contained. Instead, there's just open space around holes for what I assume is so people can walk to the next hole. If you wanna be technical, the ball trailing off the green is a penalty stroke. The price for 18 holes is $9.99, at the time I write this. This isn't too bad, as I'm surprised it's not a 9-hole course. If you're at the mall on a weekend, though, consider there might be long wait times. We went on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty much dead, except we happened to be behind a group of 4. Luckily they played efficiently. The best things about it here are that it's indoors and the greens are maintained very well. There aren't any random tears in the greens, or mysterious bumps or debris. My putter was just slightly bent, but nothing I couldn't compensate for. Par is fairly challenging, at 40. Also, I didn't see any moose. read more

It's a fun, 18 hole course with plenty of trick shots but thats about the obly good thing about it. We decided to visit for my boyfriend's dad's birthday on a Sunday. We understood the mall closed at 7PM and got to the course around 6:20PM which should have given us plenty of time to play through. Halfway through playing, they came over and kicked us out after paying for 18 holes. They never offered to let us finish or offered a voucher for next time. So what, we are supposed to just pay full price for 18 holes for 6 people to only play 10? We had to ask multiple times for them to do something for us. They should have either told us when we wanted to pay that they were going to be closing soon and would let us play or give us a voucher for next time...OR not let us play period. They were so rude the entire time too. If you can help it, go elsewhere or SeaLife/Nick Universe for better family fun. read more

The kids behind is kept accidentally hitting their balls into our hole because it's easy to hit the ball out of bounds. One complaint, the rock walls are all VERY dusty. Could use a good cleaning. The cashier was TERRIBLE. he ignored us, and half the time he delayed what he was doing to play with his Rubiks cube.
