Oh man, where do I start? Some of the previous reviews were absolutely on point. This apartment complex is obviously nicer because it's newer. My husband and I have been here since May 2018 when Manco Abbott was still managing. It's currently March 2021. Trash bins throughout the complex were always empty, overall, this place was well kept and maintained. Then, Wright Equities took over. I see one too many times the bins by the park is full. Staff is rude. Pricing was well increased. Justice Smith became the face of the Centennial Place ever since Wright Equities started. She does try to be professional, however like the previous reviewer mentioned, she is passive aggressive. Unwilling to go out of her way to help, and seems like she picks favorites. Like, actual favorite tenants. She does not treat all of us equally. There was a TV giveaway once, and this buff, macho looking young man got it. I hate to think she picks the winner based on a certain criteria. We have always paid our rent on time, never cause problems, never complain even when neighbors are loud, keep to ourselves. Last year July 2020, a cat decided to have 5 kittens on our patio. She had texted me to say that they had "noticed kittens in [my] patio" and wanted to know if they have their cage that they could use my patio to catch them. I haven't had the chance to reply to them to give permission, when I found out they took the kittens already. So did they go into my patio when no one was home? They had trespassed onto my property without my consent. How would you feel about people looking into your patio? My right to privacy felt so violated. Then, Justice came up with excuses such as the food we put out causes ants (by the way, ants are SO COMMON here during summer months, just beware) and that the "ant spray seemed to be leaking" (we kept the ant spray in our patio, so if anybody weren't lurking over, nobody would know that there is even an ant spray...also, the spray was not leaking, I checked). I honestly felt so depressed for a week because it broke my heart seeing the mom cat looking for her missing kittens. How is it that we can't feed the stray cats in our patio but Justice is allowed to have a tall, VISIBLE, cat scratching post in her patio? Very disappointed by how Justice handled all this and how it made me feel. Currently, we are on the process of moving out, and the checklist on how you can get your deposit back is a joke. THE MOVE OUT CHECKLIST IS SET UP FOR FAILURE. Oh you didn't get that greasy spot in the back of the oven? Too bad. They'll just come up with other stuff. We can't potentially leave the condition we get the unit like it was when we first moved in. Especially if we've been here for long. It's like asking for us not to cook, eat, shower, and practically live. Forget about it, you'll NEVER get your deposit back, also like one of the previous reviewers mentioned. $36, $60, $100? Is that a joke. Believe it or not people do spend time trying to clean up before they leave and the deposit money they get back is so petty. All in all, go somewhere else for your business. It's a Saturday afternoon and I'm writing this review from my car. I've been sitting waiting to do a virtual tour with the agent named Alydah. I've sat in my car for over 25 minutes waiting and wasting my gas. I had to keep sending messages back and forth to someone else there to check status and after 20+ minutes was told I should reschedule Mon-Fri 9-5. What?! It's a reason I scheduled a Saturday appointment. I work those hours during the week. My interest in this place and my time wasn't valued. No remorse or concern on their part. Things happen, yes but I shouldn't have had to continuously contact these people to check status of a confirmed appointment. That agent should have communicated with someone and say he/she was behind time. If this is how a potential tenant is treated this way how are they treating the residents? It's a no for me. I'm just sorry I wasted my time on people that could care less about my time and business. read more

This apartment complex is a nightmare. There are animals / critters and birds in the walls. You hear them scratching around all day & night... so gross. Management does little to help, as they say they don't want to disturb the birds if they are "nesting"...even if they are "nesting" inside the bedroom wall your headboard is against. Nothing like trying to sleep and hearing animals 6inches from your head. Also, the AC units seem louder than a jumbo jet taking off. I'm in construction and have never seen anything like it. You are constantly turning the tv volume up and down when the AC kicks on and off. They use some type of water softener that makes the water feel gross. Can't get the greasy feeling off you after washing your hands or using the shower. God forbid you drink it. Finally our refrigerator has been making knocking noises for over a year and a half. Can't get them to fix or replace it. So noisy. I hear they are terrible about deposit return but our lease hasn't run out yet. I'll repost when the time comes. All in all, I suggest staying far away. Hanford in general is pretty dumpy and this place fits right in. read more

This place is beautiful and well taken care of. One of Hanford's finer apartments, it's no wonder they come up as "luxury apartments." The gym, pool, and parks are open to residents and are completely closed in. They are all well managed and taken care of. Everything seems to always be kept clean like Disneyland (someone always checking for issues and correcting them right away). Additionally, I noticed all trash receptacles are completely covered with beautiful climbing vines. You hardly notice them! If anyone is ever interested in an apartment they can just go check out a model apartment either online or in person. The manager Justice is very nice and helpful with all questions anyone may have. read more

These apartments deserve 1 star. I took excellent care of my apartment, constantly shampooing the carpets, cleaning the windows, sweeping the patios, you name it there wasn't very many days were anything was dirty. Come time to move out I left the apartments WAY better than I received them. Mind you I had to clean this apartment 6 months pregnant by myself with a 1.5 year old toddler as well. I didn't mind though because I wanted my refundable deposit back. I even had Alydah come and do a walk through who said and I quote "Very minimal cleaning/paint will be needed everything looks really good". I did everything on the cleaning checklist and more. I understand that I wouldn't get all of my deposit back for minor touch up paint and very very very minimal cleaning, a couple broken blind slats (livable things) etc. BUT they took EVERY penny of my $800 and charged me another $70. I mean $300 to "clean" aka mop the floor???? Is absolutely ridiculous. I would highly suggest not cleaning anything when you move out because you will not be getting any of your deposit back no matter how much care you take. They only want your money and they just pretend to care about there tenants. If you wanna be ripped off then live here!!! :) read more

Centennial Place was obviously the best, newest apartment in Hanford at the time we moved in. The then management company, Manco Abbott staff was very friendly and professional. The neighborhood was clean and maintenance requests were quickly taken care of. Then came Wright Equities, Inc.At the start, things started well. Things quickly changed when Samantha left. Justice Hutchinson Smith became the manager (and only leasing office staff). Maybe she was just overwhelmed with the responsibility of running an entire apartment alone. Justice was very passive aggressive, and lacked any good customer care skills. Meanwhile, the apartment was being flooded by scavengers during the day and the homeless at night. Parking was becoming a serious issue. Sometimes, you'd put in a request for maintenance, days would go by and you'd get no response. Even though Justice resides in the property, nothing was being done to solve these problems. If you currently reside here or are planning to, forget about getting your security deposit back. I was told by 2 of my neighbors who moved out before me that there's no way I was getting my security deposit back because they didn't get theirs. I tried to see if we could be an exception to that rule. We took 4 days cleaning the apartment and making sure everything was intact. Justice came by and surveyed the apartment 4 days before we moved out, she told me that everything was fine, and that since we had stayed at the property for a long period of time, they would only deduct $100 for carpet cleaning. I reluctantly agreed to that because when we moved in, the carpet in the master BR was clearly not in good shape, we brought that to the attention of the then management who promised us they would note it down and make sure it's on our record. So I was really stunned when she sent us a very large bill gutting almost the entire amount of our security deposit. When I sent a group message to my former neighbors, one of them said they learnt that this is a trend at Wright Properties. They don't return your security deposit. On the letter, it says to call Justice if I had any questions. Based on my experience with her, I wasn't in the mood to get that negative treatment from her again. So I contacted the Director of Property at Wright Equities, Inc., Blake Pair, by phone and email, I haven't heard back since. read more

Look for a home to rent in the area it will be cheaper and you'll dodge a bullet by not dealing with Justice. She will pick favorites and it's like dealing with high school drama with her. They will threaten you fines and turn a blind eye to their friends. Note that you will not get your deposit back. These are extremely over priced for what they are and you can save a ton of money elsewhere. read more

Iv had a great experience here. Maintenance is always quick, like next day service quick. Office manager is amazing!

The staff was great, very friendly and professional. The apartments were very safe but more on the expensive side. The only thing that made me upset was that we stayed for 6 months and there was about three stain on the carpet. We took the time to clean and make sure that the place was still nice when we were moving out and somehow we only got 65 dollars back from our security deposit. I'm very frustrated about that, but other then that it's a good apartment complex. read more

For MONTHS we have had issues related to upstairs neighbors and the issues continue UNRESOLVED. Haven't had much sleep or peace in this place because of ongoing problems. We can't wait to leave this place! read more
