I agree with everything in Christopher's previous review. Center for Advanced Medicine, more like the Center for Primitive Medicine! This place is a total sham and deserves to be shut down or investigated. I came here many years ago and had one of the worst experiences in my healing journey from TMJ and chronic headaches. First of all, without listening to my symptoms, the pedantic and stubborn Dr. Kellas automatically put me on a detox, which entailed me having bland pea and veggie soup for 8 days straight. Imagine how horrible that would be! Wait it gets even worse! I was also seeing a chiropractor there, who had the worse bedside manner and he took immense pleasure in seeing me cringe in pain with neck and back adjustments. He was mean, unsympathetic, and talked like someone who had not received a proper education. He had me switch the pea and veggie soup powder to vanilla powder for 8 days, supplemented with Goatein powder. The Goatein powder was the nastiest thing I'd ever tasted so I immediately threw it away. The vanilla protein powder was also disgusting and traumatized me into staying away from vanilla for years. It was such a horrible experience that I still stay away from vanilla, 7-8 years later. In fact, my headaches got worse during the detox and I lacked energy for the most part. It was my first time seeing a chiropractor and i have to say, it's been life changing for me. Dr Fred is caring, well educated and very insightful. He is diligent in his craft, very thorough and leaves you feeling like a new person each and every session. He listens and communicates with you during the entire adjustment. I first received treatment here at the Center For Advanced Medicine in 2007 for Mercury Poisoning. This is where I met Dr. Drucker & Dr. Kellas they forever changed my life! Their wealth of knowledge and love for helping people who are sick made me feel very welcome and confident they would lead me to the road to recovery. I recently visited the Center where I met Heather, she is the office manager. She happens to also be a Electro-Equiscope technician and mentioned with my recent surgery this would help put circulation in my scar tissue. Dr. Nelson has been incredible for me!! I have been working with CAM for about a year and half now. I have scoliosis and recommend an awesome structural doctor that works along side him and together they are helping with my allergies, digestive system, circulation and lymphatic system and energy levels. The allergy clearings have made it so I can eat food again without pain or severe tiredness and bloating and has helped my skin rashes clear up. The environment of this wonderful little healthy place is very positive and encouraging. The ladies in the front are very helpful and happy. They have MDs, Osteopaths, a Nutritionist who specializes in allergies, a Chiropractor and a Toxicologist. You can get help from so many different doctors in one visit!! Our lives have CHANGED drastically ever since being treated by Dr. Nelson and Dr. Drukker. My daughter was on the Doctors TV show for an intense skin condition (extreme eczema). We have been through a handful of doctors, ER visits and dermatologisy visits with NO answer but the runaround to refer to the next "specialist". As a 40 year old carpenter I was dealing with multiple aches in pains including a sore shoulder, a Very stiff painful lower back and a bruised foot that wasn't healing. So much to write, but going to keep it short... My 18 month old son was suffering from mysterious foot pain, with extreme fatigue, fever and lethargy. As it got worse and worse over 2 weeks, I took him multiple times to his Kaiser practitioner without ANY help at all. They literally told me he had the "terrible twos" (which looking back infuriates me) We got into the car after his last appointment and drove from SF to San Diego by recommendation of friends to the Center for New Medicine. After a couple hours of testing, the doctors were able to rule out the multiple causes and provide adjustment for him and a regimine that I truly believe was a miracle and proof of what is possible when you think outside the box and seek help that a standard doctor would probably not advise. He just turned 2 and has been taking all of the vitamins and the parasite cleanse that they determined he needed and he is the happiest kid on earth, he also has not been sick, even a runny nose despite not having immunizations (bad reaction) and is thriving. They also detected food sensitivities that he had been getting eczema from and now we are able to provide the optimal diet for him to keep his system in line. We also add the O7 cinnamon mix to his eggs in the morning and he has finally grown to above average (as he always had trouble with wanting to eat and measured small since birth) We are just beyond thankful. I received a recommendation from my massage therapist (Body By Darby in Solana Beach) after mentioning an allergic reaction I was having. I feel like Dr. Nelson is the first medical professional I've ever spoken to about general health and well-being. I've ran many dietary experiments on myself over the last decade, and after going through the cleanse he suggested (I had high concentrations of chemicals, heavy metals and fossil fuels in my body from a dozen years in aviation maintenance), I'm sold. The first time with the lady who does the appointments and takes your info and the second time a Dr.'s assistant filling in for the other. Both took my info and both telling me they'll call back. Nobody has and they are still open for business amidst the covid19 plandemic. Its not good business. Sends a message...a bad one. Center for advanced medicine missed that I had sibo, missed that I have Hashimoto's, and most importantly missed that I have Lyme disease. I paid $50 for a blood draw. They lost all my paperwork and the results from the draw. When they finally found the results they told me it would be $295 for a doctors visit to get the results which is outrageous. It took two months for them to find the paperwork and get me in the system. I opted not to get the results and I would not recommend them for any testing. read more

I went as a recommendation from a website and was interviewed by Dr. Drucker and prescribed supplements of Iodine and several hormone supplements without a current blood test. Had many really bad side effects and reported them with only a referral from a nurse to another doctor for restructure????and no follow up from the doctor until much too late with an apology letter. I want to thank Dr. Drucker for all he has done for my family and me. First of all, I've been on antibiotics on and off for 32 years (on more than off!). It finally came to the point where they were not working. In desperation, and when nothing else was working, I went to see him 11 years ago. After determining I was allergic to yeast and mold, he put me on a diet without carbs and dairy, plus a great vitamin regimen that has helped my immune system tremendously. I don't get sick that often now. The other thing is he introduced me to nano silver for the infections. This stuff is magic!!!! I use it when I get an infection by drinking it, spraying it in my nose and using it in a nebulizer to breath into my lungs. It kills the infection! I don't even need antibiotics. I suffered tremendously with those infections, but now I don't have to. I don't know what I would have done if it had not been for Dr. Drucker. Regular doctors had done all they could do for me. Dr. Drucker also put my dad (who lives in Ohio) on an immune building vitamin regimen, which has saved his life!!! Dad had cancer 6 years ago and went through radiation. All of this really took a toll on my dad's health. He had a kidney removed, 1/3 of his colon and 1 adrenal gland removed as well. My dad is a country boy, so his diet consists of fried foods, desserts and all bad things. There is no way my dad would ever change his diet, but he at least did and still takes the vitamins that Dr. Drucker recommended! He has been cancer free and has had only 2 sinus infections since then. He used to keep the sinus infections regularly! I know for a fact he's not better because of his diet, but because of prayer and Dr. Drucker!! He has helped my mother as well. She had a massive heart attack and a 100% clogged artery. She also had double breast cancer in April of 2018. She too, is on a good vitamin regimen from Dr. Drucker. She and dad take their vitamins together every day, and they are both doing great! My brother, who is 47 years old and also lives in Ohio, was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer the weekend of Thanksgiving 2018. After he received his first round of a 5-day chemo treatment, developed MRSA in his right leg, right hip and his scrotum area (his scrotum was swollen to the size of 2 grapefruits). He was/is broken out in oozing boils all over these areas. He has been in excruciating pain and has been miserable to say the least! He's been in the hospital since Thanksgiving and he is now in a rehab center. He cannot walk because of the infection. He has been on intravenous antibiotics for over a month now. I sent him a bottle of the nano silver. He sprayed it on the scrotum area, and the MRSA is totally cleared up and has healed beautifully!!! My brother and I had a conference call with Dr. Drucker yesterday, and he is putting him on a super duper immune building vitamin regimen. I was having some issues with my hormones and a friend of mine highly recommended CAM. Then in conversation with other friends, I heard about all the wonderful things they were doing. So I made the appointment with Dr. Heather Sandison. During my first consultation we reviewed normal things, food, diet, exercise, stress levels, sleep, etc. My blood was drawn and tested and a prescription of progesterone along with recommendations for diet and exercise were given. I was feeling hopeful that all would be better and was satisfied with the level of care I had received. The problem came when I tried to refill my prescription with La Vita Compounding Pharmacy. They wouldn't refill even though I had two refills left. When I asked why they said CAM wouldn't allow them to until I came in for an office visit. I called CAM and asked to speak to Dr. Sandison and the receptionist said she could help me. I explained the issue, she put me on hold to talk to the doctor, she came back and said that I needed to come in for an office visit (at a fee). I explained that I couldn't afford the office fee. The truth is, I've already spent well over $1,200 and didn't want to give more money for an issue that's already been diagnosed just to have a current prescription refilled. The receptionist said she would talk to Dr. Sandison, who was now in an appt., and get back to me. 10 days later, still no return call. I called again this time speaking to Julie. I explained the situation and she too said she would talk to Dr. Sandison and call me back. She called me back and said that I needed to come in for an office visit. I asked why and was told that it was because of the duration since my last appt. Which makes no sense for an issue that's already been diagnosed and treated. She said a phone consultation is available. I said that would be fine as long as there's no charge. She was silent. I expressed my frustration with the situation and said it seems that they were more interested in money than the well-being for the patient's needs and that is was a shame because I have many in my circle that come to CAM for help and I have recommended others there myself. I said I would be sure to pass on my experience with this situation and she hung up on me! Never at any time did Dr. Sandison reach out concerning the issue to offer a solution. I'm so disappointed in the outcome because I thought very highly of them (5 Yelp stars) and had hoped that they would be a great resource in the future, but that relationship has now been severed. read more

I started going to the Center over 1 year ago. At the time I had several health issues that my primary care doctors and specialists could not find the source of. Update on below. I had to ask myself if they offered hope or I was just desperate. The truth is I am desperate and they are kind of a hot mess. Bankers hours and Drucker works even less than the bad hours the place is already open. Compared to my general practitioner it's hard to give this $300+ per hour practice any stars. It takes for ever to get a follow up appointment and you are just stuck. The Doc rarely remembers what I last spoke to him about and he never seems to review his notes. After several years and several thousands of dollars I can't say I am any better. It's hard to write a review of a bunch of people I like and enjoy with a proper critical mind but hope my review will help others. I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I first experienced symptoms in my early twenties but received my medical diagnosis in 2003. 2003 was when CFS went from a sporadic issue to a life changing ailment for me. Over the years I have seen many of the so called specialist and experts who have had "success" treating the illness. I have tried everything you can think of and continue to do so. I have been seeing Dr Drucker at the Center For Advanced Medicine off and on for several years now. Drucker and his staff are great people to work with, especially Melissa and the nurses. They are a pleasure to be around and are always as helpful as they can be. Drucker seems to be up on latest trends and research and he puts together plans that offer hope. Like any such practice some treatments seem a little outlandish. They also refer you to all the other doctors in the practice for their brand of treatment which can feel like a money grab. Drucker has me seeing Dr Nelson whose treatments are what I consider most outlandish. He practices NAET which if I had not read reviews and talked to some people who personally found relief I would discontinue as voodoo. The jury is out on it for me. I always ask people in the office if it worked for them and I have yet to get a conclusive yes. Drucker also referred me to Dr Fogelman. I have to admit I naturally dislike people wearing True Religeon jeans on site but this guy rubbed me wrong. I also see him in the back office while I am getting other treatments and his friendly patient mask goes away as soon as he's behind closed doors. He's kind of a jerk from what I have seen - For a chiropractor he is way expensive as well. So I am back in a resurrected full course of effort with Drucker and team. Basically desperation has lead me to be willing to go all the way and try anything. I am several months and several thousand dollars into these efforts. I am taking a veritable pharmacy of supplements daily and am back in for several other treatments about every couple of weeks. The sad fact is I cannot say that it's helping. I cannot say that I am any better today than I was before I started to come. It is my hope that I can revise this review to say it helped. I continue to go because my malady is not a simple situation. I know it will take time and probably several things to assist. I have spend nearly half my life sick so a couple years to get well is probably warranted. Drucker and his team believe they can help and they seem genuine. There are also stories from people who have seen relief. In the back of my mind I know we live in a capitalist society so they are in business to make money (which at these rates they are), everything else is a by-product but as I said they seem genuine. Five years ago, our five year old daughter had severe allergies to multiple foods and entire food groups. We consulted with the allergy doctors through our health insurance. They recommended over the counter allergy medicine as well as inhaled steroids. I cannot tell you the unbelievable amounts of allergy medicine that we gave to our daughter. We did not want to give her steroids but finally gave in when the excess fluid was impairing her ability to hear. The steroids made her stomach burn and she would not eat anything at whatever meal happened after she took the steroids. We stopped the steroids after three days and just tried to avoid the trouble foods. A friend recommended the Center for Advanced Medicine. I was skeptical at first since I had always been a very traditional medicine person but we were desperate to find some relief for our daughter so we made an appointment. I wish we had gone a year earlier! Our daughter began receiving treatments and we saw immediate improvement in each area treated. For example, we had BBQ sauce which had vinegar in it on Monday. Her nose became stuffed up immediately and she had to breathe through her nose. This always made it difficult for her to sleep. She was treated Tuesday and then we had the BBQ sauce again on Thursday and she had no reaction whatsoever. We were shocked and we were completely sold on the NAET treatments. My husband also had severe food allergies and was not able to eat any grains/gluten for years without having severe stomach pains almost immediately after eating grains. He received a treatment for grains and then a few days later, we were out at dinner and he reached for a dinner roll. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to eat the roll. He ate half of it and had no pain at all ever. I have had severe allergies to feathers since I was a teenager. When we go to hotels, I have to bring my own pillow and then lay towels between me and the feather comforter. I would become itchy all over my body if I slept under a down comforter. I received the feather treatment and slept under the comforter a few days later. I did start to become itchy but it wasn't as severe as before. I went in for my next treatment and the doctor did the muscle testing. He hesitated and then said, "It didn't work." Keep in mind that I did not say anything to him about my reaction. He could just tell that my body had not completed been cleared of the feather allergy. I could go on and on about the various experiences and successes that we have had with clearings.
