Julie is the best massage therapist on the planet!! I've had massages on a regular basis for 30 years and Julie is hands down my favorite therapist of all time. I have been seeing Julie for 4 years. It began with excruciating pain in my right shoulder and that pain shooting down my arm. It was so bad for days that I went to the ER to no avail. I had some leftover opioids which I almost took but I refrained. The orthopedic surgeon wanted an MRI but I couldn't lie flat for 1 minute much less the 25 minutes it was required to lie perfectly still. The pain was unbearable. I took a chance on a recommendation to Phillipe. He said we would work on this together. After one session I had not yet bought in. The pain remained but her gave me some techniques. I returned a second time and after that session I did sense improvement. A third, fourth and fifth and low and behold I was feeling remarkable better. After so much pain, inability to even sit in my car without pain, orthopedic surgeon that was no help at all and...Phillipe has literally cured me. I know there's more to be done. Posture, exercises, and a new way to retrain my brain to rethink how the body functions properly. Phillipe is a modest man. He says we did this together. Perhaps, but without his expertise I'd still be in pain that I thought was controlling me instead of the other way around. I truly thought I was doomed with that pain. Philippe at Balanced Body is who you should pick. I am forever grateful for the transformation that Philippe helped my body to achieve. I was having very bad neck pain -- I went to visit many other body therapists in the area and spent a lot of money with very little results. I saw Philippe and within a few visits my neck pain was GONE. I also have scoliosis (or scoliosis tendencies) and have dealt with feeling curved and one sided muscle strains, congestion in my neck, and structurally off. Literally years of chiro and minimal results. After seeing Philippe, my scoliosis tendencies are feeling better than ever. I float out of his office, my back and neck feel that good. I've been putting off writing a review because it's hard to summarize how amazing my experience has been. I have a herniated disc at L5, S1. The pain varies and it can limit what I can do for work and for physical activities. My pain also includes severe hip pain/tightness and sciatica pain. Philippe can always bring my body back to balance and make me pain free. He has an amazing understanding of the body and he is extremely intuitive. Coming here changed my life and allowed me to get back to yoga, running, weights and more. He also teached additional exercises and stretches for me to do at home. When I actually do what he shows me I get amazing results. For a while I also had a shoulder pain so bad that I couldn't lift any weights and my yoga practice was extremely limited. I would wake up at night in so much pain that I would be crying at times. My shoulder is now 100% back to normal and that is all because of Philippe and the stretches he taught me. If you have any pain of physical limitations come to Balanced Body. I have referred a few people here and they have all had a wonderful experience and they became regular clients. read more

Philippe was great. Very gentle and knowledgeable. I have had massage type therapies from all over the world costing various prices. But the 90 minutes I spent at Balanced Body was one of the best and worth it. I went in with pain in various places, mainly my thigh and it feels great now. The pain is not gone because it is a medical issue. But it is much better and I received some good tips to help manage it a little better and some ideas of what I can do to make it a little better or what I was doing to make it worse. Wow. Just had a massage with Philippe. I have had a shoulder issue for a couple of months that I've sort of been ignoring. I mentioned it to him and after asking a few great questions, had a few ideas for me (including suggesting I see a doctor to rule out any tears or things of that nature) He also worked on it during the massage and helped me learn to relax a muscle that was over-reacting and certainly contributing to my on-going issue - if not causing it. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Philippe is fantastic in many ways. He's courteous, flexible, attentive, and he remembers who you are. He's not just a massage therapist. He's trained in many different bodywork modalities and implements them based on your bodies needs and your goals. He can work on deeper issues, like hip pain, that can't be addressed by a standard massage therapist. He creates a nice relaxing environment during the session and after the massage he offers simple suggestions on how to create more ease and flow structurally and within. I work in a body based healing therapy and I've seen a lot of body workers. He is top notch and really seems to care genuinely. I'm on a subscription program with him where I pay a discounted rate for a once a month session. So I have this thing about massages. I used to want to be a massage therapist myself, for several years. The way I criticize massages are probably way more intense than one would expect. A massage is so much more than just being "technically" good. Energy flow, ambiance, lighting, and pressure are all extremely important. I won't go too much into the details - I'll probably bore you. I've had many many massages over the years, and I will say that Julie (I really hope I'm remembering her name correctly - she was the owner) stands out by far. I felt like I was floating. His treatment went beyond therapy for that moment's pain.
