Dr. Sinervo and his team were attentive and kind, however service was way too rushed and the ultrasound missed a bunch of my adenomyosis and things seen by my reproductive endocrinologist who did an extremely thorough two hour ultrasound and case review. I'm so grateful I found Dr. Sinervo. I've been suffering from severe endo for over 20 years. I had laparoscopic surgery 10+ years ago and was diagnosed with stage 4 endo impacting multiple organs. It was removed with ablation (the common method), but unfortunately, it grew back within a few years. I've done everything I could to manage the pain and inflammation naturally. I exercised regularly, switched to a gluten free, vegan, and caffeine free diet, and meditated daily. It helped a little.. but over the years endo grew more severe and debilitating. I couldn't sleep well, had pain daily, and severe menstrual cramps. I saw multiple in-network GYN surgeons, but all of them said my case was too complex for them. A couple offered ablation again -- which I knew wouldn't last. It was incredibly discouraging. Eventually after much research I found there are only a handful of true excision specialists in the US who handle complex endometriosis cases like mine... and that's when I found Dr Sinervo. I honestly cannot express how grateful I am for him and the center for endometriosis. Dr Sinervo is one of the most compassionate, skilled, and dedicated doctors and surgeons I've ever met. He deeply understands endometriosis and treats it at the root. I had excision surgery with him less than two weeks ago. During surgery, he untethered and freed multiple organs that were stuck together from scar tissue and deep endometriosis... including my bowel, bladder, ovaries, cervix, and more. I'm already starting to feel relief from years of chronic pain. It still blows my mind that this level of care exists... and that I almost never found it. I'm just realizing that I forgot to write a review! Dr. Sinervo performed my surgery in late March 2024 and the entire experience was pleasant, from the initial consultation to the post surgery follow on appointment. The surgery was done at Northside Hospital and things couldn't have gone any better! It was obvious that Dr. Sinervo is well respected there. Prior to surgery, my quality of life was almost nonexistent but I feel sooooo much better now! I noticed an improvement immediately but it took a little over a year for me to feel my best. Someone from the center called at almost the 1 year mark to check on my progress and that was very much appreciated. Dr. Sinervo & Heather sold me on a massive dream over 13 years ago. Promised my endometriosis surgery was incredibly successful. My encounter with the doctor was very brief. Chatted on the phone once. Fly in- we met once in the office prior to surgery, brief chat before surgery and one single office follow-up before I was released to fly home 4 days after surgery. He told me I had minimal endometriosis growth, and should be feeling great in no time. I thought awesome and went on my way. I returned home, and so did all of my pain. Still in so much pain I found a local surgeon, one who accepted my insurance plan. Not even 3 months after Dr. Kenny Sinervo did surgery, I lost my left tube/ovary during surgery with a different very trained endometriosis doctor. Massive amounts of endometriosis growth were found left on my colon, among other spots. My colon had attached itself to my left ovary, tube to the sidewall via adhesions. All of that in 3 months? This office will sell you on this massive hope and dream that they will change ur life and endometriosis outcome with this specialized surgery. They will not. I do understand those seeking treatment here are probably where I was years ago, desperate to be living a pain free life! I was feeding off every healing word they were selling me. They do the same specialized endometriosis surgery many other trained doctors can do, and they do accept insurance. I beg you, do research- find a local surgeon, trained in endometriosis. Don't get me stated on the billing. Be prepared to hand over a few mortgage payments if not a house down payment before receiving any care. THE BEST DECISION EVER! Nothing beats going to a specialist! I've been dealing with severe endometriosis my whole life. Tried every single type of birth control and therapy on the book but endometriosis works harder. Saw countless and countless OBGYN's since my first period. Even more during my 20's because the endo and symptoms were unbearable. Fast forward to my mid 30's plus a husband and two kids later, my symptoms had gotten worse. The first time I met with the CEC, I was diagnosed with a fibroid. First specialist I met with had suggested a partial Hysterectomy. I was on the fence. Checked with my regular OB. OB suggested the same, went back to the CEC a few months later to find that said fibroid had grown even larger and symptoms were worsening. So I decided to get treated by Dr. Eugenio-Colon. Any surgery is a pretty big deal to me and since this surgery required removing a few organs... I was not gonna mess around with just any doctor. Dr. Eugenio-Colon performed a perfect partial hysterectomy. Ovaries were in good health and left them in to keep my youth intact. During my partial hysterectomy, Dr.Colon had found the beginning stages of cancer on my appendix and removed it on the spot. The timing of everything was so serendipitous. Had I gone in for a partial hysterectomy the first time I went in several months before, would they have found the cancer since it was only at the VERY beginning stages? No one is the wiser. Either Way, it has been THE BEST DECISION EVER! Not just because Dr.Colon single- handedly saved me from cancer, but also... nothing beats being done with periods forever. So, this review may be a bit TMI, but I feel like it's important to know what I went through to understand how amazing the people at Center for Endo are. Every month I found myself in excruciating pain for 3 full weeks. After researching and talking to my doctor (who prescribed me Motrin, which was useless), I decided the most likely culprit was endometriosis. I took a friend's recommendation and visited The Center for Endometriosis. I saw Dr. Sinervo, who is not only knowledgeable, but also kind and easy to talk to. During my first visit, he prescribed me ultram & vicodin, which did not completely take the pain away, but did help me get through my days and sleep at night, something I couldn't do before. A few months later, I went in for surgery with Dr. Sinervo at Northside Hospital. When they opened me up, they found that my endo was much worse than they had suspected and a surgery scheduled for 2 hours ended up taking 4 and a half. I apologize for anyone who's appointments with Dr. Sinervo that day had to be rescheduled, but it was very comforting to know he was there the whole time and often checked on me after I was awake. Dr. Sinervo informed me that I had Stage 4 endometriosis. Since the surgery, I have had no pain and have been a fully functionally human being, as opposed to the crying ball of pain I was before. I cannot recommend Dr. Sinervo and the CEC highly enough! I had been experiencing severe pelvic pain six months after surgery in 2013 (by a different doctor) and found Dr. Sinervo online. He determined that my endometriosis may have returned, as well as scar tissue and/or adhesions. Dr. Sinervo recommended that I undergo a laparoscopic procedure to examine my pelvic region; the surgery took place five weeks later. The surgery revealed that my endometriosis was indeed back (or hadn't been thoroughly removed during my prior surgery) and my colon was adhered to my abdominal wall. It has been two weeks since my surgery and I'm feeling much better already. Dr. Sinervo and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and great with follow-up help. I have been in touch with them every few days for the past four weeks and they are fantastic at staying in touch and answering questions. One of my favorite things about the CEC is that someone ALWAYS answers the phone when you call; no voice mail, long hold times, etc. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Sinervo and his staff. "Lil M" or whatever your REAL name is, obviously you don't know much at all if you go off as you did on the CEC and Heather Guidone. I *AM* a patient of Dr. Albee's AND I *KNOW* Heather...not just on the internet, but have met her personally MANY times. Heather has always been very upfront about her position with the CEC. Excision is the GOLD STANDARD and the most effective way to treat the disease. If you knew Heather, you would know that Heather has been through every treatment there is for this disease. There are other "options" as you put it, but if you want the disease to be treated effectively, then EXCISION is the only way to go! It is evident you don't know anything about this disease either!!! Going back to Heather, she volunteers so much of her time to the women who are dealing with this disease, answering their questions, supporting them in every way she possibly can. I've known Heather since 1997, and she spent many hours talking to me on the phone, email and instant messaging. Time she should have been with her own family, she was helping me. As for the insurance portion of your libelous comment.....they may be out of network with some companies, but they do everything in their power to work with your insurance company and get the most out of your benefits. Why are you being so libelous?? I certainly hope they are able to trace your message and find out exactly who wrote the "review". With a heavy heart I feel the need to post my experience w these people. I've been plagued w severe complicated case of endometriosis w MANY generations in my family having it. So far Ive been a model patient and have taken every prescribed treatment that has been recommended (even if it was something I wasn't sure about) and have also had several surgeries. Even years before contacting them I researched Dr. Sinervo..I prayed that one day I'd get to have HIS treatment. I saw his YouTube videos, Google testimonies, Yelp and FB postings. I contacted their practice on 8/2 and notified them straight off the bat I'd be a cash paying patient (never, ever hoped to have any of it covered by my ins or even asked, I knew the drill I knew most health insurance don't cover this), one of their doctors contacted me on 8/9 and told me (due to my severity) he'd recommend dr. Sinervo as my surgeon, I said great how soon can I schedule a date. Then Anna contacted me couple days later w a quote in the most "beautiful "calm friendly voice, but by then I was having issues getting all the money together. She was very understanding (so I thought)...The following week I was at the ER w severe pelvic pain when she called, I explained I still didn't have all the money, she then volunteered on getting me a "significant" reduced fee. I didn't even know they could do that..it was the best news I'd had heard! I was elated, relieved and hopeful. I had vested time in these people but also trusted and disclosed such intimate raw information to them. I felt we had established a good relationship when I suddenly. hear. nothing from them. So, I call Anna to see what's next..how we were gonna do this, do they normally email you a new quote? Was someone else gonna contact me? How much of a significant reduced fee was she talking about?? I was so happy, excited and had many questions..but never heard back ..until I heard a loud knock on my door from the mail man w a certified packet..it was all my medical history documents plus a letter. A letter that basically told me they didn't want me as their patient. I cried and cried doubled over on the floor for hours. But why? what? was it something I said or did?? She didn't give me the reduced fee quote I still have no idea why she even mentioned it? Then just drop off the face of the earth? No explanation nada nothing. Why? Why? P.S. The rest of the money (and then some) was deposited to our account today we got the money!! But I don't trust CEC anymore..no way, no how!! my faith has been shaken in the way they run their practice, I see this as a reflection of thrm as a whole. I complained and wrote a letter (w Heather cc'd) on it and never heard back from anyone. This concerns me gravely because when there is this much power (of abuse) over sick vulnerable women, really, skies the limit for them and ownership of errors aren't held up to their end by anyone. I have had two surgeries with Dr. Sinervo and I recommend him to all of my endosisters. I have never been treated with such compassion and kindness, then how I was taken care of by the staff at the CEC as well as Northside Hospital. It's important to understand that your recovery will take time, it's been a year since my first one and I am just starting to feel "normal". After surgery, I needed pelvic floor physical therapy to help ease the pain caused be being in a tightly wound ball for so long. I am still in PT and have to start over in my workout routines. It's not the surgeon, it's the disease and all of the "ripples" from it. Recovery takes patience and dedication. You need to realize that you will still have some pain after the surgery, your body won't know the difference from endometriosis or the surgery to remove it, it all still sends pain signals to your brain without discrimination. Obviously, there will be relief, if there isn't then you need to discuses further issues. For example, My brain would tell me my uterus was cramping, even when it wasn't there! So, there's a psychological aspect to recovery too. I had to visualize a healthy, functioning uterus and remind myself that the source of the pain, the endo and uterus, weren't there. After practicing technique a few times, the pain subsided. Another important part of recovery is making sure your bowels have the time to heal and avoid constipation. Constipation will land you in the ER with the same symptoms of endo bc your full bowels will be pressing on your tender abdomen. Treatment of Endometriosis needs to be a multidisciplinary approach. Physical therapy, psychological changes, diet changes and patience. Dr. Sinervo has treated me better than any other doctor I've ever met, even calling me on the 4th of July during his BBQ to ease my mind after my second surgery. He still checks up on me. Dr. Sinervo is the BEST!!! I learned about Dr. Sinervo from Nancy's Nook FB group and I am so so happy I did. I knew from the beginning that my excruciatingly painful periods were NOT normal, but no doctor ever believed me. Fast forward to 2012 when I had a surgery for 2 ovarian cysts that ended up being endometriomas. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 endo and this was my fourth surgery with Dr. Sinervo last month. I had my 3rd surgery earlier this year in January with another doctor who seemed to be experienced in excision surgery but didn't get all my endo out. By this point, I'd had enough and decided to bite the bullet and go out of network to the best, Dr. Sinervo. I will never ever regret this decision. He had a free phone consultation with me since I live in NJ and he answered all of my questions and didn't rush me off the phone at all. And from the moment I stepped in his office for my pre-op appointment, his staff was absolutely the best and walked me through the entire process. Dr. Sinervo himself was so friendly and took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was completely comfortable and even gave me a hug! He and his staff also explained everything from start to finish to ensure I was completely comfortable with every aspect leading up to and after the procedure, including the dreaded bowel prep before and the plane ride home afterwards :(. This was a nerve-wrecking trip for me as I've never had to travel so far for surgery especially during the holidays (surgery was Nov. 30th). Come the day of, Dr. Sinervo eased all my fears. He prayed with me before the procedure and even held my hand while I was put under anesthesia. He kept my family fully informed throughout the entire process and they loved him too! There were other issues when they went in but thankfully he had his full team of expert surgeons with him who were available to assist as well. My post-op at his office was equally as great as the first appointment and all his nurses and staff were such dolls. They listened to my concerns after the surgery and even quickly responded to my follow-op questions via phone after I flew back home. I have never felt this good after a laparoscopy!! I am healing quickly and cannot wait to be fully recovered soon but I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sinervo and the CEC. I've been through the ringer with this disease and the countless doctors out there who mean well but aren't informed enough to treat such a complicated and debilitating disease and also understand the major impact it can have on your entire life. Dr. Sinervo and the CEC understand this full well and are so knowledgeable and empathetic that it was so refreshing. After years of hearing that it's all in my head, getting the validation and the care and compassion I received from Dr. Sinervo and his staff cannot be expressed fully in just this review. An important thing to understand about endo is that oftentimes, even after excision surgery, a person might have other issues like IC or pelvic floor dysfunction that cause pain afterwards if not addressed. In response to one of the older reviews concerning health problems arising after surgery: please remember that any surgery does have risks. Laparascopic excision surgery is no different, and it is possible for other things to develop as a result of having it (pudental nerve entrapment, pelvid floor dysfunction, etc.). With any surgery, it is up to the Dr. and patient to decide together whether the potential benefits outweigh those risks. In most cases where a specialist is needed for endo, these benefits will win over the risks, simply because it can be nearly impossible to lead a normal and fulfilling life when you are experiencing constant abdominal pain, bloating, cramps, and fatigue similar to those undergoing chemo for cancer treatment. I was diagnosed with endometriosis by a non-specialist via Lap OBGYN in 2014. After that surgery I was still in so much pain and did not see much real relief. I eventually was forced to leave my old job, and then drop out of classes a few months after that. When the pain became and everyday occurrence again, I realized it was time to see someone who would be skilled enough to help me. Dr. Sinervo and his staff are truly amazing people. Not once have they ever dismissed my concerns or made me feel like my recovery and quality of life was not a top priority above everything else (unlike pretty much all of the countless other doctors I had seen for the same pain issues prior to them over the past 15 years). I am so grateful that I was able to go to them for my excision removal surgery and that nearly 6 months post op I continue to see steady improvement. I had my surgery in 2007 and it was my third for endo, so needless to say I was skeptical about this one actually removing everything. First off the staff is great, that morning of my surgery my truck wouldn't start so my mom & I caught a cab to the office. When we asked to have another cab scheduled after my consult for surgery, the nurse was like, there's no need I will be more than happy to drop you all off. She totally went out of her way and didn't have to. Dr. Sinervo was a delight and still is to this day. The surgery went on longer than expected, due to the fact that my endo had spread everywhere and was very deep. Nonetheless, it's five years later and I am doing great! Previously with my other two surgeries they were 3 years apart and both done by non-specialist OB-GYN's. For those of you looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of endo this is definitely the place. The staff is very responsive and the doctors genuinely care about their patients new and old. I had surgery with Dr. Sinervo after multiple failed attempts with other surgeons to treat my endometriosis. Traveling across country and giving them $5000 was a HUGE mistake. Two months after surgery with the CEC in Atlanta and I was already having repeat surgery back at home for the same issues I went to Georgia for. I continue to suffer with endometriosis and encourage women to be careful in choosing a physician and method of treatment. There is NO cure for endometriosis, and there are lots of people who will take advantage of your hope and desperation to find one. I have tried for months to get a refund from Dr Sinervo since this extreme excision surgery didn't help me in the least, but all I got was the run around, more lies, and a bill attempting to squeeze any remaining money from me! I lived in with constant pain, vomiting, and multiple other symptoms for over 4 years before I finally found the Center for Endometriosis Care. Dr. Sinervo was so helpful. He walked me through every step of the surgery I was about to have and explained to me each procedure and its necessity. The surgery went well. Dr. Sinervo was there the whole time and was so kind and comforting. It has now been almost 9 months, and I have yet to have any adverse symptoms from the surgery. I feel the need to update my review after being emailed a few times about it asking if I am Painfree ..This review is about the after math (the results if u will) I was painfree for a few months following Surgery at the CEC (but my legs did stay weak, but thought that was regular healing) I learned 4 month post op of this major surgery I needed more surgery 3 crushed discs in my neck, than gallbladder went bad had that out, than found out 2 more slipped discs in lumbar, ortheoarthritis, joint issues, my already interstitial cystitis got worse, myofasial pain disorder, had 2 colon polyps , sm rectal prolapse ,IBS ,spinal stenosis, pelvic floor dysfunction(dr s diagnosed) had women's p.t. like I was told for 6 wks(an extra expense I didn't l know before going to Atlanta) I still have chronic headaches , full stomach pain, back pain from neck to butt latest diagnose was 2 months ago ..I was found disable now ..soo nothing about this surgery gave me my life back unfort it made everything worse I may not have periods anymore but I am now wayyy worse off ..I was told keeping an ovary I would go into menopause at 51 naturally I went right into surgerical menopause I was in no way prepared for the mental aspects of this higher anxiety, depression, insomnia, hot flashes/cold chills overwhelming sadness on top of all these other issues ..so, I have completely lost any life that I did have prior I cannot sit , stand, walk,bend, work-out, work ,lift, fatigue and pain are over the top , I am medicated everyday before I had 2 wks painfree ..I think things were not fully explained as far as expectations and what taking parts out can do ...I don't exactly blame Dr Sinervo but maybe hysterectomy ..I didn't go to my reg gyno because of some of the things I read about hysterectomy I thought none of this would happen going to a top dr ..I would advice now with a lot of experience and hearing from others going to Atlanta to the cec just for excision I would do anything to go back 3 yrs and make a different choice in regards to hysterectomy what I had before surgery was stage 4 endo, I.C.(but it was controlled) Adenomyosis ..I would not wish my life now on anyone ..as I am not married and cannot pay for help with housecleaning, errands, all the holistic treatments , vitamins ,organic food to try and undo some of this ..I got sent a paper I believe 6 months post op of how was I doing never a word back there is no follow up or help after but honestly, I didn't have the money to go back soo really nothing he could do..unfort I thought I was going to go there get the right surgery by the right dr , heal and go back to work and work 80 hours a week to pay for this unfort for both dr sinervo and I it didn't happen that way ...Again this is about the long term after math ..I am not trying to bash the cec, dr sinervo, ..but this is my story and now my life after excision/partial hysterectomy/appendectomy read more

My review is not just about Dr. Sinervo, but about the staff at the Center for Endometriosis Care as well. I traveled over 1300 miles round trip to have surgery with Dr. Sinervo in July 2013. About 2 months before surgery, I sent registered with the CEC and sent in my records. Within 3 days I received a personal phone call from Dr. Sinervo himself. I was very impressed with how he spoke to me, he was very thorough and explained exactly what he thought would benefit me and why. I agreed to surgery, and he told me that his surgical coordinator (Jean) would be in touch with me. The very next day Jean called to set up my surgery. My insurance company can be a bit confusing to work with, and Jean walked me through every step of getting referrals, getting my insurance to approve it, and figuring out the costs of surgery. I was very appreciative to have a such a kind woman help me through the 'red-tape'. She gave me options for when I wanted to have surgery (as opposed to some offices that just schedule it for you, whether it's a good time or not). Then she also helped me find a hotel in the area that fit my needs, and in the packet she send patients there was a lot of valuable travel information. Traveling to Atlanta was a huge decision for me, and I was so nervous. The day before surgery I had my pre-op appointment. As soon as I walked into the office, I was immediately at ease. The woman behind the counter (I apologize, I don't remember her name] was so welcoming! The atmosphere was relaxing, and they had very comfy chairs and couches in the waiting area instead of those stiff waiting room chairs you normally find. The nurse that took my vitals and lab work (Marilyn?) was so friendly! She chatted with me the whole time and took time to listen to how I was really feeling. I didn't have to wait at all to see Dr. Sinervo, he was actually waiting for me. We sat down and discussed my symptoms, what we were planning on doing, and his opinion. He took a long time to explain everything, and answered every question I had from him. Then I was prepped for an exam and ultrasound, which Dr. Sinervo performed himself (my other OB/GYNs have all had someone else do the ultrasounds). DeeDee (nurse) was incredible! She got me ready for the exam, and then stood next to me and held my hand through it all. She actually brought me to tears because of how much of an interest she took in me and how she said that I deserve to be pain-free. I also met the new doctor that is learning from them, Dr. Nicholas. I love that the CEC teaches other doctors, and my experience with Dr. Nicholas was very positive. I am confident that he will be a wonderful endo doctor. The morning of surgery I arrived very early at the hospital (5:30AM) to be the first surgery of the day. My experience with Northside hospital was great. Once I was prepped and ready, Dr. Sinervo and Dr. Nicholas came in to talk with me. Before we went on the move to the OR, Dr. Sinervo asked me if he could pray. I loved this. Once we were in the OR, Dr. Sinervo stood next to me, held my hand, and reassured me until I was asleep. For a doctor to take the time to do this for his patients is unbelievable. I stayed overnight in the hospital, and Dr. Nicholas and Dr. Sinervo came in a couple times to check on me. They were willing to explain everything that they did to me then, but since I was so medicated, I decided to hold off until my post-op appointment. When I arrived at my post-op appointment, which was scheduled for 5 days after surgery, I felt like I was walking into a room of friends. Everyone was very interested in how I was feeling. I loved that every person in that office was so kind. DeeDee took me to a room again, and she spent a few minutes making sure that I was doing okay and that my pain was being managed well. Within minutes of getting in the room, Dr. Sinervo and Dr. Nicolas came in. He took a long time to explain everything that was done (exactly what we agreed to before surgery) and then listened to all my questions and concerns. I was thrilled that a doctor finally listened to me so much, and actually CARED. When the appointment was done, Dr. Sinervo gave me a hug and told me that I could call or email him any time I needed. As for how I'm feeling, this surgery has been absolutely wonderful. Even with the pain from surgery, I still feel better than I ever have. I have no doubt in my mind that I made a good decision going to the Center for Endometriosis Care. In the future, I will not let any one else operate on my endometriosis. I know my review has turned into a novella and is about the whole staff instead of just Dr. Sinervo, but I feel like this group of people deserve as many good words as I can give. I had stage four endo. Dr. Sinervo gave me my life back after years of horrible cyclic pain and then close to two years of daily acute abdominal pain and bowel issues that were only made worse after a different doctor performed my first surgery. When my other doctor said have a hysterectomy, I went to Dr. S. He performed an excision and now I am pain free, with hope of concieving. I had multiple surgeries by countless MD's that swore they would be able to help me for the endometriosis that was invading my internal organs. My local MD's basically told me there was nothing else they could do but give me more hormones to try to control it. I saw Dr. Albee (before he retired) and he told me he could remove the endo, perform a hysterectomy and rid me of the daily pain I had been living with for years. He was right. Its been 3 years since my surgery and I have not had a single problem. My surgery at CEC was life changing, and that's no exaggeration. I would recommend them to anyone, and I'm an ICU nurse so its hard to get my stamp of approval. Beware! I had surgery here 6 months ago and it basically ruined my life. I have a whole set of new problems to deal with and zero relief from the problems that brought me there in the first place. I have had to quit my teaching job of 12 years and sell my home as their surgery was a complete and total failure and I'm pretty much broke now that I'm unable to work. Upon entering the office and going through the surgery the doctor promised me over and over I would not have any more pain. Not so. My pain has at least quadrupled to the point that I am barely functioning. I've lost 20 lbs since the surgery and I was underweight to begin with. My blood counts are all bad (something they never even bothered to check before giving me surgery), my back is destroyed, and the recovery was an absolute nightmare. They promise time and again "they're here for you always", not so, they don't even return my calls or emails anymore probably b/c they know how dissatisfied I am. But boy will they bill you to the point that you basically lose every dime you've ever had-unless you're rich, which unfortunately I am not. Their billing person Dorine is off the charts incapable of doing her job. They have told me a million different dollar amounts I owe ranging from 6k to 18k. They never subtracted the money I paid them or the money my insurance sent. That's quite an oversight IMO. My local doctors are appalled at what they put me through and how little they care now that they have my money. They are also dishonest. They sent me a letter stating that my insurance would cover 60% of the surgery and once it was all said and done, my insurance hardly paid anything and nowhere near 60%. I still owe them money but...since I don't work, I don't have any money anymore. At this point, they lowered my quality of life so much that I don't even care that they will send my bill to collections as my life is as good as over as is, a bad credit rating or a lawsuit would be the least of my problems, plus you can't pay a bill with money you don't have! Beware of this place, and find another one, these people are complete scammers and they want your money, nothing more, they don't care to actually help people at all. read more

A week and a half after surgery I was feeling better than I had in such a long time even though I was still recovering! After 11 years of tests and specialists and mysterious pain, I finally had an answer and felt so vindicated from when the multiple OBGYN's said my pain was normal or that they weren't convinced I had endo. I was ready to accept that this pain would be a part of my life, but thanks to a last ditch effort Google search, I found Center for Endometriosis Care. The entire process has been easy and pleasant from the phone records review all the way to the post op visit. Everyone that I have met at the Center has been extremely kind and helpful. Dr. Kongoasa made me feel understood and validated. He hugged me after every visit, prayed with me before surgery, and he and Nurse Wendy held my hands as I went under anesthesia - it was the best patient care I've experienced. They know what they are doing and they do it very well. I am thankful that there are Centers like this for women to turn to. One month post op and so far so great! Thank you Dr. Kongoasa and the rest of the staff for helping me get to a much better quality of life! read more

I am not a patient of CEC but I must post in support of Heather Guidone. She has been an invaluable resource to the endometriosis community for years and believes quality excision - with ANY qualified excision specialist - to be the gold standard of treatment. However, like most people familiar with advanced disease, she does not tote excision as a cure, nor does she profess that women must go to the CEC for the best results. She serves as a volunteer on the ERC and related boards, which takes up most of her very little free "spare" time. In diong so, she is completely transparent about her affiliation with CEC and never would trick anyone into going. Working at an insititution that shares her belief about excision (combined with nonsurgical treatments such as, namely, physical therapy) as the best chance women have against this insidious disease is not at all the same as tricking gullible women into having surgery. Heather does not tell women that CEC will cure them, and in fact CEC, like other specialists, has cases where excision does not provide complete relief, and she would be the first to tell you that. Surgery is not always sucessful, but I too believe that the younger a woman has excision and takes charge of her own health and body, the better chance she has agaisnt this disease. I do believe that there needs to be a broader discussion of "now what" when excision does not bring sufficient relief, but this is not the same as attacking an honest, dedicated, hardworking woman who has done everything within her power to help women with endometriosis. She should not be faulted for continuing to do so outside her formal job when she could be doing anything else. read more

I was refereed to Dr. Sinervo from my obgyn to have a hysterectomy. He was so kind and sweet. He even said a prayer with me. All was fine and well until the day of surgery. I went in and had the hysterectomy done. The procedure was done by using the small 3 incision method where they dont fully cut you open. Its considered minimally invasive. My surgery went from 2-3 hours to about 5 because I had a lot of adhesion's and more issues than normal. He bragged that he never, except once, had to cut a person open to complete a hysterectomy. Like he was really proud of his stats. After the procedure was done, I was sent to my room to recover and was being released the next day. Yeah fast right? But the whole night I was trying to do the breathing exercises and walk with the walker, and I had the hardest time. I am also a person that has had numerous procedures and I bounce back pretty fast. But I could not this time. Well the next day came and I was sent home. Never got a visit from Dr. Sernivo or anyone from his medical team. The only ones that assisted me was the on call duty nurse. Well, I went home and planed on resting and hoped to be up and going in a few days. When I got home, I could hardly walk and I couldnt catch my breath. I fell to the floor and asked my husband to get my phone and call the doctor. I was then told to go back to the ER for fear of a pulmonary embolism. Well we go back to the hospital and they find out I have pneumonia. No one noted this on my records. After more digging, they found out that my intestines was punctured and they immediately rushed me back into surgery. I woke up a day later having no idea what happened to me. I was in the hospital for 11 days. From my drugged recollection, Dr. Sernivo never came to see me. Someone from his staff did but he never did. My life has been totally ruined because of his undercover cockiness and inflated ego. Dont be fooled. The office contains tons of awards for the beat bedside manner but that has nothing to do with his work ethic. So I got 2 surgeries for the price of one. Which he made 50K+ off by the way. Now understand that I am not mad about the punctured intestines in and of itself because that is a risk with the procedure. My problem was the care during and after the procedure. His care was absolutely nonchalant once the procedure was over. After the bowel resection surgery, I developed 2 large abscesses. I called his office and he said that my discharge was normal after this type of procedure. Well I had to go to my obgyn to make sure and she said Hell no it was not normal. She made them refer me to get an MRI and thats when we found the large abscesses. Because one had popped and the draining was occurring, that saved me from getting cut open again and having the abscess drained. I could not even talk about this surgery for a year. It was so traumatic for me. I was treated like I didnt matter and that my life was insignificant. All by a man I put my trust in to be by my side throughout this procedure. He did his surgery, made his money on a botched job, and left me alone to figure out my own self care. If you read this review and you see it other places, please know that it is me. My surgery happened in july/august 2012 and I am now confident enough to share my horrible story. I am no longer a victim and will do my best to let everyone know my experience. read more

My daughter had surgery with Dr. Sinervo for stage IV endo in June of 2014. She suffered for 18 years with debilitating pain that left her bedridden. We were blessed the day we found out about Dr. Sinervo and the CEC through her Endometriosis support group. We flew to Atlanta to have surgery with Dr. Sinervo and thank God every day we did. He is the most caring and skillful doctor we've had the pleasure to work with. My daughter was a severe case. Unfortunately, the endo caused her to have a hysterectomy, lose her appendix and 3 inches of her bowel. Dr. Sinervo also excised her endo. He prayed with her before surgery at her request and he also held her hand until she went to sleep. What doctor does that??? A great one! He also came to see her every day at the hospital, which was a 5 day stay for her. I can see why he wins the top doctor awards! He literally gave my daughter back her life. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. The staff at the CEC are the most caring and kind people we've ever had the pleasure to deal with. I'm not sure what the women are talking about in the negative comments below, but we certainly did not experience anything like that. Other women in the group have had surgery with him and rave about him like I do. Again, he gave my daughter back her life and I cannot recommend him and the CEC enough. Thank you Dr. Sinervo and the wonderful CEC staff for giving me back my daughter and giving my granddaughter back her mother. We are forever grateful. read more
