First impressions are always important to me. I was referred to Center for Integrative Care by my doctor for acupuncture services. As soon as I walked in to the office I was greeted by a very friendly and sweet receptionist (sorry I forgot her name). The office is very nice, clean and calm. I immediately felt at ease and relaxed. The receptionist checked me in right away and explained everything thoroughly. She showed me where the water & restroom were and made sure that I was comfortable. I don't remember if I actually waited to be escorted back to the exam room. The office has a very organized system and it was all very quick. I waited in the exam room less than 3 minutes for Dr G to see me. He introduced himself and explained everything in detail about what he would be doing and what acupuncture is and does for the pain. The room was very soothing and quiet. The sounds overhead were like being at the beach listening to the waves and seagulls, it was soothing and calming. I'm usually very anxious and have trouble relaxing but he made sure that I was okay before he started. Dr G is very patient and professional. He walked me through every step of the process. After the needle placement he went over everything and made sure I was good before he left the room. I haven't been this relaxed in a long time. I think I fell asleep for a few minutes. I came here for wrist & trigger finger pain treatment and I'm so glad that I did! Not only was this super relaxing and easy but from this first session I felt relief. After the treatment Dr G stepped in cleared my hand, massaged it a little and asked how I was feeling. He made sure I was doing well before he sent me off. I wish I had done this before with other issues I had on my left hand. Every time I leave I think to myself that I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend Center for Integrative Care and Dr G! Was referred here for a work comp injury (ankle with two surgeries resulting in chronic pain syndrome) acupuncture was actually the last item to check off for pain management and at this point I am willing to give anything a good try! This office is off the 15 freeway in the business section on the side of the hill so parking is quite limited but I have never not been able to park in front of the office. Once you walk inside its so peaceful, calming relaxing background music playing, they offer you water, reception is so kind and the ladies just have this zen aura about them. I met with Dr. G and have been seeing him now for 2 weeks and he is just heaven sent!! Dr. G has a peaceful demeanor, great bed side manner and really knows how to make you feel comfortable, being my first time, I was really scared about the needles but Dr. G explained everything to me step by step and it turned out to be easy peasy and painless! I have noticed that my ankle/foot have had some relief and hopefully as I continue treatment it will get even better! read more

Dr Mancini has been my Goto practitioner for 15 yyears. I can feel immediately the pain pathways being interrupted as the acupuncture starts it process. After 3000 years of trial and error this Chinese pain and health management really works for me. I was doubtful when I began ... but, like magic the pains slowly went away. Although I am not a regular patient, I have been getting reset treatments here for years. The office is clean, the front desk staff (especially the office manager, Kelly) is wonderful, and the whole vibe is warm and welcoming. They make you feel very comfortable and they explain everything in a way you can understand, which I can imagine must be comforting for first-timers who are in pain or have health issues that need fixing. Acupuncture can seem scary because, let's face it, we're talking about needles.... However, I have never experienced any negative effects, regardless of how many needles are used or where they are administered. In fact, it's quite the opposite: I feel amazing every single time I leave the office! All the acupuncturists are extremely professional.... whether you see Marie, Kristina, Uzi, Dr. Mancini, it doesn't matter- you can rest assured you are in great hands! Thanks guys! read more

If you aren't sure about what acupuncture can do, and wonder if Dr. Mancini can help . . . look at the patient guest book in the waiting room. That's the real Yelp. Hand written book (I believe there are 2 of these books) filled with years of patient testimonials on the glass table in the waiting room. A patient's cholesterol was dramatically lowered during/after treatment with Mancini? Even though that patient previously tried every pharmaceutical, which didn't help? Yep. I've seen about 4 acupuncturists before. None are of this quality. Tip $ - yes they take insurance and know how to work with your insurance company. Tip 2- no the needles aren't painful, it's like a quick bug bite that fades immediately. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Mancini and his team for a little under a year now. Let me first start off by explaining how I came to be a patient... In March of 2019 I suffered a cervical spinal cord injury (C4-C6) and fractured T12 & L3 vertebrae's, which left me as an incomplete quadriplegic. I did 7 weeks of acute rehab at Craig center in Denver Colorado, and upon returning back home to San Diego, I began my visits and holistic treatment twice a week at the center for integrative care, which, in my experience has been absolutely amazing and satisfying to say the least. I was physically a mess when I first stepped into Dr. Mancini's office. Chronic neck, back & shoulder pain, nerve pain & impaired sensation throughout my body, digestion problems, bad range of motion, weakness etc... today, besides a little bit of nerve damage and some weakness that still remains, I am able to proudly say that I no longer suffer from the previously mentioned conditions. Thanks to Dr. Mancini and his amazing staff who have all been an incredible help in my journey to recovering from such a traumatic injury. Also the front office staff are all so wonderful and welcoming, making you instantly feel comfortable. Thank you lovely ladies! As for Dr. Mancini and his incredible team of healers, I can't express enough thanks to you all for what you do. I wouldn't be where I'm at today without your treatment and guidance towards optimal health. I've personally had work from all the medical staff, but was mostly treated by Dr. Uzi Chen & Dr. Mancini, whom I have so much appreciation and respect for cause these men are masters at their craft & are truly passionate about what they do providing so much value for their patients. As an athlete and someone who also trains in the martial arts, it helped me immensely to have treatment that was a big more of an aggressive approach with the E-STIM & dry needling sort of technique that is also lightly practiced. The facility itself is nice & with a calming atmosphere. Clean private rooms for you to focus on your healing. I normally find myself meditating/visualizing as I lay there with points in my body until I drift off to a light sleep. Once your treatment is over, a separate room with several mats and medicine balls is also readily available for anyone who wishes to continue with stretches and light workouts which I recommend taking advantage of. All in all, my experience at the Center for Integrative Care has been remarkable! Thank you all!!! P.S. I just finished Dr. Mancini's new book "Breaking Through the Pain/Stress Cycle into Optimal Health" and I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about how their body works. I have had a personal battle with repetitive stress injury (RSI)/tendinitis from typing too much and bad posture. I have found many healing modalities helpful in my search to end my pain. The computer which was my key to creativity, financial freedom and fun now made me anxious thinking about using it. I had used physical therapy, trigger point massage, chiropractor and other treatments, but acupuncture was the most effective treatment so far. Dr. Mancini was exactly what I was looking for in an acupuncturist. As an engineer I love how things work and energy channels and explanations that cannot be measured are not ways to convince me about acupuncture treatments. Dr. Mancini, however, speaks in mostly western terms and explains how the treatment works from a biochemical and neurological perspective. After about 4 treatments I started feeling a little progress and about 8 treatments in I felt even better, but around 14 treatments I was at 80% of my normal level and have had continual improvements after leaving treatment 3 weeks ago. Comparing my recovery this time vs before (I have been on workers comp twice before) with physical therapy I feel like my flexibility and pain relief is much better. Dr. Mancini unlike most traditional doctors has great bedside manner and carries a positive and uplifting attitude in every meeting with him. Dr Allen and Dr Mancini provided careful, effective and comfortable treatment during my visits and gave excellent advice on how to change breathing, diet and other factors to enhance my recovery and improve my overall health. This place is amazing and has so many cool ways to help improve your life! I came for the ARP Wave Therapy which really helped me heal a horribly painful and long-lasting bout of tendonitis and bursitis in my shoulder. The therapy gave me back almost full range of motion and major pain relief in a very short period of time. I traveled there from Los Angeles to have the treatments and it was worth it! I'm glad so many others have had a good experience. I did not. I have spondalolythesis between the L5 & S1 of my spine, which causes me quite a bit of discomfort. I was in more pain after going in for my first treatment than when I started, and woke up at 3:30 AM the next morning with an intense migraine headache. I had been headache-free for about 8 months prior to this visit. I limped in to my second visit that day and was in even more pain afterward. Dr. Mancini and Uzi both called and left messages, urging me to come back in, but I cancelled my next visit and will not be going back. Acupuncture is not for everyone. read more
