Bring your beach chairs and coolers filled with adult beverages. Arrive by 640 pm and you will get a good spot. The location for a concert is good and the sun sets behind the performers. The only negative is that the performers are literally on the boardwalk and people keep walking behind the drummer. I'm a casual gamer, but brand new to VR, so it took a good 15min of my hour timeslot to get used to handling the controls and navigating the menu. I kept on getting really excited and asking all these random questions and there was always someone on their helpful staff to answer them. I can tell they get asked alot of the same things by different people. And there's so much to try! Our party did multiplayer co-op campaigns (shooting arrows at ogres) as well as explored our own interests (ninjaing fruit, swinging golf clubs, falling off planks, similating a vacation, flying though google earth maps). I think there's over 50 options to choose from, and from at least what I've tried, are all high quality games. Although each uses the controls a slightly different way (e.g. one game might need a button click to pick up an object while another needed you to raise your hand up and down), and some games were not always beginner friendly. The multiplayers were also a bit difficult to coordinate and may have been better if our VR stations were closer together. We also tried their 4D locomotion zone and opted for a racing game. The seats really do shift pretty intensely in all directions and you can feel the wind in your face. I didn't feel like the controls were very responsive and definitely felt motion sick after 2 laps. Probably because I'm old and sensitive to vertigo but I would not do again. The area itself is spacious and clean and fun. Screens everywhere, rainbow lights on electronics, artsy wallpaper that illustrates a world with angry birds & alice in wonderland & rocky balboa & a giant shark with jaws, but in a very natural way. They also have benches and coat racks (and should consider shelf/safe space for handbags) and even cocktail tables for catering or events. All in all they have 20ish stations and seems popular with walk-ins, at least on the saturday morning we were there. I am definitely looking into planning a future event here!

A mixed drink with a great pour size, and a bottle of soda was $12 - which is cheaper than most venues considering it was a full bottle and we go to keep the cap and the mixed drink was large. We saw "The Carpenters", which I saw a while back at the Algonquin theater. I wanted to see the show again because it was so good, but this show was like listening to the B-side of a 45. I can't even tell you how disappointed I was that they didn't play many hits. She sang covers from other artists and not so popular hits. I personally found it strange the way the show began with the guy running the strand, coming on stage with a piece of paper talking, and then having us stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I have no problems saying the Pledge of Allegiance, but I just found the whole thing odd. I've never gone to any other musical event or show where they had everyone stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the event. I also had a rude person seating us. I thought I had bought center orchestra, but it turned out that I bought center tier and when I told him I just wanted to look at my phone to verify what I had purchased because I thought my tickets were wrong. He got nasty with me and told me that's what your ticket said that's what you bought and I told him to just give me a minute so I could just look it up on my phone to verify and it wasn't like he had anything else to do or he was seating anyone else I didn't ask him to wait with me. I understood that my tickets were for the tier, but before I climb the stairs to the top, I wanted to make sure that I got the correct tickets from Will call, but instead of just letting me be, he felt the need to argue with me when there was no argument to be had, and him finally walking away, saying whatever. Other than him all the other people working there were great. This was just one experience but normally I never have any problems there.

I went to a radio show which is titled classic radio roadshow in which live actors perform well known radio classics in front of a live audience with all the Foley sound effects. Look that up, it's interesting. If you close your eyes during the performance you can imagine watching a radio from times of yore. Classic shows were performed, some were Abbott and Costello, the Shadow, Gunsmoke etc. all the performers were well-seasoned. Obviously this is a period before TV and my upbringing, but I certainly appreciated the show. The funniest were the comedic skits. There are other types of theatre presentations throughout the year.
