The change to The Dance Project was the absolute best decision that we made for her. We wanted a studio that our daughter could thrive in. Where she would come home in excitement instead of tears. A studio that gave her a support system, was a positive learning environment and could offer her a community of fellow dancers to grow in. The Dance Project has exceeded all of our expectations when it comes to these hopes and wishes of such a studio. I can't truly capture how excited my daughter is to go to dance classes every day and she has been more motivated to be her personal best, than I've seen her. The teaching staff are all veterans of the trade with formal education in performing arts. Collectively, they come with decades of experience in teaching kids from toddlers to teens. My daughter squeezed right in the middle of that age range . They are passionate about ensuring that my daughter continues to hone her core skills in so many different dance styles while offering her more challenging routines. Did I mention how inclusive my daughter feels around the rest of students. The staff's positive approach to dance education and competitions are admirable, a breath of fresh air and something that I'm very grateful for. My daughter talks about her dance practices to me as soon as I pick her up. Beaming from ear to ear. I've never seen her this happy before and it's renewed her love for dance. The studio is easy to get to for those who live in Bristol, Wolcott and Southington as the studio is right of Route 72 which isn't to far from Route 6. I would highly recommend this studio if you are looking for somewhere to start your son or daughter (no matter the age) or looking for a change of scenery from current studio.

I paid…read morefor tickets for me and my husband to go watch our granddaughter dance in the recital only to find out that her class was NOT in the recital. Her class was only in the "finale". Other kids I noticed had 3-4 routines and yet the teacher couldn't find anywhere in the recital to have my granddaughter's class have an actual act/routine? This disappointed us but mostly disappointed my granddaughter who knew her class was not actually in it and really wanted to show people how she dances. I just can't understand how a dance studio can have a recital and leave out an entire class from the recital. Then try to justify it by saying that they're in the finale which is only supposed to be a quick view of everyone who is in the recital. I'm very disappointed in centerstage and I would not recommend having your child go there because you never know you may pay the money for months and months for them to have lessons and then find out that they're not going to be in the recital. She has developed close friendships and ALWAYS looks forward to spending time at the studio. The teaching staff offers excellent dance instruction and provides opportunities for continual growth and development. The owner is truly invested in the success of each and every student. He can be currently found at the very unique space combining dance and drinking coffee, Garage Dance Studio & Coffee Lounge. While the dance studio and the coffee lounge share the same space, they don't share the same hours of operation. I was here a few months ago, to find the coffee portion in the dark and the dance floor in full bloom! I came again yesterday afternoon, to find the opposite. This time the coffee lounge was open, and no one was on the dance floor. The inside is set to look like you're in somewhere in Madrid amongst the colorful buildings, where the tables are all adorned with red tablecloths. Of course, the barista working was Taki Tanaka. We chatted briefly and he made me the most delightful Honey Fig Latte. It was creamy, foamy, with a beautiful rose art design he hand poured himself. This was mildly sweet, rich in coffee, utterly satisfying with each sip. I just wish there was dance to see.

There is also a dance studio located inside the coffee shop. They offer dance lessons, and the inside, from the dance clothes to the others hanging from the window, gives off a Latin vibe.
