There are also Trick or Treating Scenes filmed here as well with several houses right next door. There is also a park across the street you can check out as well. You can also drive by East Whittier Middle School which was Jacob Bailey High School in the movie. Back to the Future Mill Valley High School was filmed @ Whittier High School on 12417 Philadelphia St. King Richard's Antiques is one of the largest antique shops in California. It is Fantastic with multiple levels with over 60,000 Square Feet of Vintage Merchandise. Also check out Nixon Plaza - Richard Nixon's Law Office was located here in a historic 100 year old building that has now been transformed into a Food Hall There are multiple restaurants with a Large Indoor & Outdoor Dining Area. You can grab something to eat & a brew @ Whittier Brewing Company in the Food Hall. Also check out the Whittier Village Cinema. It is a small beautifully restored Art Deco Movie Theater that was originally called The Wardman Theater which was built in 1932. The Architecture, the Tile & the Lights are really beautiful. Feels like there's a money grab whenever possible. Strict dressing rules for the younger kids was off putting but tolerable. The worst part is the teacher we had. I can't speak to how other teachers were but Jessica was not a good one. She consistently didn't help correct students on proper movement and provided little instruction. It was like she was robotically gliding through the classes and the children would get confused or bored. I doubt any kid learned a thing about dancing in that class. Only good thing I liked was that my daughter found it ok to be on her own without me in a class setting which will help her feel more independent when it comes to school time. Another scary thing are the stairs to go into the studio. The hand rails have huge gaps that people, especially kids, can easily fall through.

Lines were horrendously long, people slowed down the ordering process by asking for samples at the order window. Better planning needs to made for a better experience. The music is deafening. Trash was everywhere!!! The plus side was that more tables and chairs were added. Porto potties were filthy and sinks ran out of water for washing making this a health hazard.

She makes sure we're progressing and pushes her students to do their best, but she's also very sweet and funny and her classes are always fun to take. The girls here are also very nice and welcoming to new people. This studios great for anyone that wants to dance and perform but doesn't want to deal with crazy practices and competitions, we're performing nutcracker in December! The studio also has classes for 3 year olds too adults and offers ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary and jazz.

We have seen three shows at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, finding a great production…read moreof "Waitress" last year that introduced us to this theatre. More recently, we enjoyed "Frozen" and "Come From Away" and are excited for many of the upcoming shows for the season! The production quality for this mid-size theatre is excellent! The theatre is not huge, but there are many seats to fill. We have sat in rows Q, R, and S, and the views are still great! Seats are relatively comfortable and easy to find as well. Show prices will vary on where you sit, but it does feel intimate enough to connect with the actors wherever you sit. Even though we live nowhere near the area, La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has become one of our favourites. Additionally , the parking lot is huge due to the many businesses in this plaza, and we've always been able to park relatively near the theater. Plenty of food options here, too! We will gladly drive the extra miles to support the arts and enjoy musical theatre in La Mirada!

They do a good job of making the pre-show experience a pleasant one. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is a bar inside and outside, with the same offerings. They offer themed drinks to the show. People came out to enjoy the nice weather and the pre-show experience. The bathroom had many stalls but that didn't stop the women's from forming a line. Parking is free.

I joined California Country Club to find a community of nice people to play golf with and to…read moreimprove my game. From first inquiry, the club made me feel incredibly welcome. Song Wang, the director of membership, gave me an excellent tour and I played a round to see if it was the right fit. I met wonderfully pleasant people, which made me feel confident in joining. The golf course is in fantastic condition with a great pace of play. Leadership really impressed me too--Tim, Mike, and Cyrus all took time to greet me on the course, which is a nice touch. Shoutout to Casey and Andrew who were also very pleasant back at the clubhouse. Off the course, their Agave Grill restaurant overlooks the first and last holes with a beautiful view. I had a grilled salmon dish that was splendid. I definitely see myself grabbing a bite before or after a round often. I'm excited to become a regular. If you've been considering CCC, give it a shot, and maybe I'll see you on course!
