This was our third bank we went to today. The first I have a bad review and you can read it if you want (the key bank on hively Avenue). The second was good but since they were more local they advised against them due to that the international transfers may not happen well. Third was the charm and they saw us right away and we got approved and got it setup. The account manager even told us things to consider such as the transfer fees (which we knew about) and some other things to consider. She was most helpful.

Quality has really deteriorated at the branch in the past couple of months. JP Morgan Chase and its…read morebranches need to get their sh** together in this area. Tellers don't always know what their doing, bankers don't know how to speak to customers (at this branch). Inefficient operating procedures especially on Fridays.

They are not applying my car payments to my auto loan, they charge an "ignore variance" fee twice a month and have not explained what that is, they will not work with you when you are on disability and they are just very nasty anymore. I have a lot of family members and friends who bank with them. Most of them are reconsidering banking with UFCU. They are not what they used to be.

We actually went to a local bank (I live in Texas) and were looking to refinance our home and the guy asked us why we didn't open a personal account with them. We said, "Our money is in an checking account with high interest." "Oh yeah? We have that too. What rate are you getting?" Us: "6%." *silence with his mouth agape* Him: "Where are you getting that? You can't even get guaranteed interest in the market right now." We talked some more and the guy wanted to know the bank so he could open an account there. So for 4 years, up until this past week, we had a United FCU account and were pretty happy with it. Currently their interest rate is 1.85%. To get that, you need to have at least one automatic deposit to the account each month and 10 debit card transactions. It wasn't too hard to get that, but it was sort of a hassle since we normally used our other credit cards with rewards on our normal purchases. We once went in there and withdrew a bunch of $1 bills and put $20 bills on both ends of the stacks and the tellers gave us the associated $1000 bill straps to wrap the bills in. Hilarious when someone opens a briefcase and thinks he's looking at $20k. We even had a little money sack that we drew a dollar sign on for him to stash the cash. So much fun. So we're done with United FCU, but we did enjoy our stay. It was time to consolidate our accounts and having one out of state just wasn't convenient anymore. Thanks for the good times!

I recently decided to discontinue my membership at 1st source bank for several reasons. I did a…read morelittle research online and figured out that TCU was a option for me so I decided to stop into the Main Street branch to see about opening up a new checking/savings account there. Long story short, it was a great choice to do so and here's why. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a friendly welcome from Alivia, one of the employees that works there. She was very helpful and nice and made the whole experience/process easy and comfortable. I even received a thoughtful welcoming letter from her in the mail which even more so confirmed the fact that I made a great decision to join the Teachers Credit Union for my personal banking needs.

Truly appalling service and even more concerning levels of poor organization from this company. I…read morehave been absolutely floored by the incompetence and inconsideration this company has exemplified. My husband's dilemma was a direct mistake of TCU and took initial effort, not of the company, but of the customer, to complain on social media to get any recognition. This completely unnecessary debacle had to be dealt with by a 28 year old son grieving the sudden death of his father. You should be totally ashamed. TCU transferred the loan amount of Nathan's deceased father's car into Nathan's name, but not the title, so Nathan owed TCU money, but couldn't drive the car. TCU fucked up this painful process so bad, a TCU agent had to physically go INTO a BMV branch to explain how they messed up so badly in order to get the title in Nathan's name. It took him complaining on FB to even get attention to the issue. He spent probably two months just being transferred around the company and being hung up on. So they took forever to finally get the title registered in his name (literal months) and the car just sat there and couldn't be driven. Since the car sat for so long, it has all these issues now and they refuse to give him any kind of compensation for repairs. No, I'm sorry, they offered him $200, which is a slap in the face.
