Dealing with this bank is annoying at best. The banking app doesn't show transaction updates in a…read moretimely fashion, letting a dozen transactions sit in pending for three days before reconciling. On a weekend, I can wait five days before a deposit or purchase moves past pending. Recently, It was a check from someone else using this same bank! Why does it take a five day business week to ensure funds your own bank already has? On a check under $200! The open hours to go inside for customer service are not realistic for those of us who work. And when my debit card was hacked last month, CNB said I had to go inside a branch to order a replacement. Great, except you are only open during the hours I work. So I had no way of accessing my paycheck for two weeks until I used PTO and lost a half day of work in order to access the lobby hours. Couldn't do a regular bank transfer unless I waited multiple days for the transaction. Turns out they also have a limit on Zelle transfers, so I couldn't even send myself money to another account instantly after a few days. I don't own paper checks. I don't pay bills by mail. Yet this was their suggestion? They have my direct deposit every two weeks like clockwork, but won't let me get that money out since my card got hacked. So as a bank overall, CNB is a dumpster fire. This particular branch does have great employees, however. I especially approve of the young man with autism. I always look forward to seeing him and utilizing a business that supports inclusive employment. Yes, he is talkative. But he handle my business very professionally every time. I have seen horrible behavior by other customers toward him and the other employees nearly every visit. None of it as a result of poor customer service. They came in rude and insulting, targeting the man who was different. I hope management remembers that their employees are faced with the bottom of the barrel as far as customer base at this location. They will be unjustly verbally harassed and insulted daily. I support the employees at this location, but not the bank as a whole.

On 11/29/2001 I was tasked with taking a $60.00…read moredepsoit in cash to her bank, BB&T to cover her cars insurance which she relies on for others to drive her to doctors, pharmacy etc. The teller promptley asked if I was on the account, which Im not and refused the deposit since I or her in her absense couldnt prove where the cash came from, could I write her a check for the amount to deposit??? The same bank that reposseced her car when she was hospitalized even though there were more than sufficeint funds in accounts with BB&T both savings and checking, maybe a red flag should have gone up? A concientious employee maybe? It cost her 1800.00 to to recover her car all for sake of a 300.00 past due 2 month payment of 150.00. Bank employees need to be more alert to their customers and held accountable for their actions and inactions. Had I taken 601.00 in cash I could see the (reuctantly) the concern, but 60.00 that may be once in a lifetime to cover car insurance...come on.

Have a 820+ credit rating and have never missed a mortgage payment. Yet, you ask for a 50k home equity loan and they treat you like you have a 400 credit rating and no equity. They undervalue the homes and ask for documents that they have in hand. It's all a ploy to keep you hanging on while they toss your application from department to department. It's getting closer to me closing all accounts , stopping deposits and moving my mortgage. Banks need deposits but they act like it doesn't matter to them. Beware before going too deep with them , they will end up having you run in circles for your own money.
