The two ladies that own the shop are very knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth! They make a lot of their own tea blends and tinctures but also source out really well-made items too. They won't always direct you one or another on your own personal health journey, but they will guide you to resources to help you along the way. I recently purchased a bunch of loose leaf teas, their own jarred castor oil and their own magnesium rub - all of which are great quality. They also have various workshops and events at the shop throughout the year that promote different kinds and levels of health and wellness. Examples are sourdough workshops, fire cider workshops, holy fire reiki, and so much more. The parking is on the street and can be hard to get a space super close by, but a quick walk will be worth it. The prices are fair for what you are getting. There is a small seating area in the front to look thru some of the resources and books they have in the store. There is also a small room off to the side where they sell natural alternatives for things like soap and candles.

Really like this place!!! It's super cute inside and they have tons of herbs, tea blends, local…read morehoney, and lots more. Their chocolate chai and cranberry orange are two of my favorites! The owner is very friendly and helpful. Parking can be tough, so I always park at the Dunkin Donuts parking lot that's on the road right after Thyme.

But seriously, if you jones for alternative medicine, you gotta come here. They do both Chinese and Japanese, and have a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) dispensary. Sign up for weekly or biweekly treatments at the student clinic and you're seen by a second--year or higher student with faculty supervision. Depending on the style of your student, they take your pulse, look at your tongue, palpate your hips, neck and stomach. Be prepared: they ask you weird questions that only make sense to them that include your food cravings, bathroom habits and sleep patterns. To be specific without being overly graphic, they ask (in very professional tones, like a doctor) how often you pee, sometimes what color it is, how often you poop, and if it's formed. I dunno what it all means, but that's not my job. So they needle you and you get to lie there on a comfy massage table for 20 minutes and zone out while the needles do their magic. I find that part just as therapeutic--kinda like how you feel after a massage: sleepy-happy. It's not like a salon where you can request a specific student; you often get the luck of the draw, or your schedule, Depending on the student, the treatment can be effective, or not, although I've seen students markedly improve in their needling technique and effectiveness by the end of the semester. The problem is, is if you like a particular student, you can't see them next semester, because this is part of their education: they need to be exposed to as many patients as possible. An occasional bonus is that many students were bodyworkers therapists or Reiki practitioners, so sometimes you can get a quick head, arm or or neck massage if it's applicable to your treatment. If you don't like needles, try the Japanese style--they're narrower and don't hurt as much. If you're afraid/squeamish of blood, you really only bleed if you're needled in a spot where the chi is stuck, and the amount is very minimal. And if you bleed, it's supposed to be good because you're unsticking what was stuck. Why pay $55 and up a session when you can pay $30? They also have satellite programs at other health centers. The one at Dimock is voluntary donation, and you could probably get away with paying $10. Tons of parking on the street and in the shopping center behind it.

Although my condition isn't one that can be completely cured by acupuncture alone and could take a long time any signs of improvement would take place (severe carpal tunnel) he let me know when it was time to wean off acupuncture. The treatment room was ambient and comfortable with nice music. I was covered with the softest blanket I have ever felt. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dang. I have to mention the girl at the front desk who is also kind and did the legwork to get information from my insurance company. I'm sorry, I can't remember her name.

I literally have had SUCH A PROFOUNDLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE!! And I CANNOT stop RAVING about this place to everyone I know!!!! Dr. Dang is an absolute MIRACLE WORKER and truly one of the kindest souls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!! I felt right at home and received such an incredibly warm welcome! I have been going twice a week the past month and it has absolutley become the highlight of my week!!! Dr. Dang is not only more kind and compassionate than ANY practitioner I've EVER had an appointment with, but he is also the most thorough and attentive!!! I'm amazed at how thorough he is! I never once felt rushed at all and he is always fully present during all of our interactions. I always feel seen, heard, and respected, and it genuinely feels like he wants to help me accomplish my goals. The practice itself has been PROFOUNDLY beneficial to my my overall mental health and well-being!!! I have struggled with the absolute WORST jaw tension/TMJ issues the past year and he helped me come up with a personalized treatment plan using electro acupuncture to tackle all of my issues head on. I wasn't sure how the electro acupuncture would feel at first but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!! I feel an immediate release of my tension, as if it was slowly melting away. I asked if he could help me come up with a plan to balance my energy and help me do some inner work healing as well and he set me up with a specialized treatment plan that involved full body acupuncture and a heat lamp over my navel - this treatment puts me into an incredibly deep peaceful, meditative state and I honestly leave there in a state of pure euphoric bliss lol I've done various forms of body/energy work and this has been BY FAR been one of the most effective practices for me. I feel like I leave each session walking on cloud nine. My partner jokes about how much of a better mood I am after going to these appointments lol. I find it's most beneficial if you set intentions prior to the appointment on what you want to get out of the session. The lovely ladies at the front desk are also super kind and helpful. I am truly SO grateful that I've discovered this little gem! If you're looking for a amazing acupuncturist in MA, I highly recommend Dr. Dang!!! I honestly still can't believe that one negative review is even for the same place because I can't imagine having anything close to a negative experience here! After clicking her page and seeing that she mostly leaves one star reviews places, I'm a little less surprised. I'm a firm believer that your perception of reality is a reflection of your inner thoughts and emotions, so if you're frequently dwelling on the negatives in life, you will perceive more negative in your reality. Disregard that one negative review, this place is absolutely incredible and I cannot recommended it enough!! If I could go daily, I absolutely would lol.
