I originally went to see her after I found out at 32 weeks that my baby was breech and I had read that chiropractic care- specifically the Webster Technique has been shown to help babies turn naturally on their own by removing roadblocks in the mother's body and Dr. Brittany is the only chiropractor in the Worcester area that specializes in this specific technique. I had posted on a local mom's Facebook group and she was referred by many women so I knew that she had to be good. I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. I felt comfortable with Dr. Brittany from the moment I met her. I could tell that she was not only extremely knowledgeable but also passionate about the work that she does. She explained everything she did before she did it so that I felt as comfortable with the process as possible. She's also very philosophical about her treatment, which is something that I personally love. My treatment plan started with me getting adjusted twice per week since I had so much going on with my body and I would look forward to the adjustments because I felt so much better afterwards. My back didn't bother me at all this pregnancy, whereas my last, it was almost unbearable towards the end. I felt like I had more energy, my posture was better, and I just overall felt better. There was one week where I missed my adjustments because I was on vacation and I could feel it. I also want to add how great of a person Dr. Brittany is because I find that to be very important when choosing any type of provider. I had an extremely difficult time post partum due to a number of injuries to my body from giving birth. We're talking not being able to walk without a walker or move my legs without help and extreme pain. Turns out, I separated my pelvis, injured my tailbone and also had an issue with my SI joints causing sciatic nerve pain. To say that I was a mess would be an understatement. I reached out to Dr. Brittany to get her thoughts and without hesitation she offered, out of the kindness of her heart, to come to my house to work with me since getting in and out of the car was too much to handle. I'll be forever grateful to her for her care and compassion and couldn't speak any higher of her. I initially was informed they had moved and were at a new location. I was not happy about this as Worcester was already a haul from Whitinsville and shrewsbury was even further. In addition the chiropractor I formulated my care plan with no longer worked for them. I initially put in an appointment and my son ended up getting a head injury that caused me to miss it. They rebooked me without asking, then I called to ask to verify exactly what I had on my account as I knew it was a substantial amount. I asked them when I booked the original appointment and they told me they had to ask billing and they'd call me back. I asked them again when I cancelled, same response. The. I placed a call Monday 5/6/24 solely asking for the balance, and they said the system was down they had to restart they'd call me back in 5 minutes, at 4:27. One hour later I call back, and am again told billing has to call back with that information. Today 5/8/24 at 9:34 am I receive a phone call informing me $981 is remaining in my account. As I begin to request that money be refunded, they interrupt me "they don't usually give credits back" to which I respond "you have to return credits for services not tendered, and not under the main agreements of my care plan, you guys have moved and no longer have Dr Serena" at which point I was asked by Christine "are you done?" In disbelief I sat in silence on the phone for 30 seconds and she rudely began to say "as I said we don't return credits" and I responded "that was a completely inappropriate and inflammatory way to respond, unbelievable." to which she hung up on. I attempted two call backs at 9:36am and 9:43am which went unanswered. Dr Serena is amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and I adored her. Where as the couple times I saw Dr. Cotter years ago he didn't. Back to health always had substantial staffing from my first appointment in 2014 with their original owner, up until I saw Dr Serena. Now it is just Dr cotter. For lack of response and productive communication I am forced to put in a small claims case at Worcester courthouse, and I have written this complaint so that no one has to endure what I am at this moment with this office.

Dr. Brittany was absolutely amazing and so comforting, she explained everything in complete detail before doing anything. I felt as ease in her hands. After a complete body assessment and explaining everything she adjusted me with a few different techniques and I was told to ice 1-2x when I got home. I felt amazing and couldn't believe I wait this long to make an appointment. Oct; 2009; At first they (Ian and Arlene Simpson) corrected ear ringing caused by a misaligned neck vertebrae from another chiropractor doing a unbalanced alignment. Then, when I wanted to stop treatment because I told them I feel fine, and do not need any more treatments; they talked me into staying longer, then started doing the same unbalanced, neck, and back misalignments that the old chiro applied that caused health problems! I ended up at U-Mass hospital Belmont street, Worcester, MA on Friday night (after Arlene Simpson did a lot of unbalance neck, back alignments) with vertigo, blind spots in my vision. Ian and Arlene Simpson, Highland Chiropractic did not answer my messages asking for help all weekend. Said they did not recognize my number on their cell phone. Took me in on Monday morning, kept me waiting in the office with vertigo, fear as he complained for 10 minutes about his parking space. Then he did another bad neck alignment, increased the vertigo, then threw my back out with a one sided unbalanced alignment; I asked him to please do the other side so its balanced like a good chiro does. He said he wont because if it does not pop I will complain so he may as well not even bother trying. Then he, Ian Simpson, said I will never be cured and have to stay with them for 240 appointments and more for life! Then made me sign a release form stating I agree injury can occur from chiropractic treatment. Other new chiropractors then examined me after this injury and said highland had a main vertebrae on the base of my neck that connects to the rest of the spine twisted on the spine and many other mis-alignments. Took 5 chiros before I found 2 that would take the risk of repairing Highlands damage. Said these are the kind of chiros that give good chiropractors a bad name! I am still suffering dizziness, neck pain, vision, hearing problems, numbness in arms, cant work, difficulty walking after 18 months!! Cant sleep without waking up partly blind, dizzy... Dr. Jim Lynch is hands down the best chiropractor I've ever seen! He's not your typical "back…read morecracker" who just pushes on your joints until he hears a crack and then considers everything A-ok. Dr. Jim uses a proven technique called applied kinesiology (Google applied kinesiology for more information) to find out what is occurring in your body and how to fix it. His treatments are thorough and he is always able to fix what is broken in a calm and soothing way that often results in immediate release of pain and improved range of motion. Dr. Jim is patient and listens to you, as well as your body to address whatever the issue might be. He has never failed to help me feel better when I see him. I am still amazed with all of the new tests that he tries on you to make sure you are good to go before leaving his office. He really takes the time with you and cares.
